Upgraded Fel the wolf spider
He was in a candy jar container thing from dollar tree

Which worked for a while and was still working perfectly fine
However, I plan to slowly upgrade all my bug enclosures into glass tanks or similar products (I just upgraded my small centipede into a nice looking storage container for example) and I figured I will just start with one of my favorite spiders and the one that would be the cheapest to upgrade
I decided to upgrade her into a 2.5 gallon tank (originally used was going to do a 5.5 gallon but decided this would be a better size for him.)

It looks to be about twice as much space as the last enclosure and I think it will be a good final enclosure for this spider.
I added live plants that I am hoping will grow well and give a lot more ground coverage
And I an eventually gonna get a little light and trailing plants and probably a fern so I will be remodeling the enclosure eventually most likely

Haven't been posting much because I've been fostering kittens!! I'll post a photo if anyone is interested.
I've been trying to contact rescues and that has taken up a lot of my time.
Here's some cute spiders

Some of my plants have new leaves
Little cactus has a tiny baby beside it now

It's had the growth on top for several months but just recently the little one of the side started growing. I always feel like this plant doesn't do much but sometimes it does grow a bit.
This one my aunt gave me recently as just a collection of cuttings that she had sitting in water. Some were completely submerged in water because she wasn't really caring about those and some just normally propagating.

It recently just started putting out some new stems leaf things
This plant is one I've had for several months, I think a little more than half a year.

It is constantly putting out several new leaves at a time and aside from one incident where I did not upgrade the pot that was too small and leaves turned yellow have always been growing good.

Extremely good paragraph from an article exploring the concept of sentience in invertebrates
What the bug on the top left of the bugs in enclosures post?

This one is based of isopod called Porcellio hoffmannseggii also known as titan isopod. I saw in Sweden shop selling them with terrarium so I based of that.

I love making these bugs little meals
Last night they got two blackberries dusted in calcium and some fish flakes
I have been trying to find more ways to give them more variety
Aspera
7/1/2023-5/4/2024
I found Aspera dead on the fourth. I don't know what happened since she had water, she ate a week ago, and she was still active the night prior.
She was only about ten months old and I expected to have her for at least a year and a half. My theory is that she might have been a male but I'm honestly not sure, if she was a male, then Fel would also be one since their pedipalps look the same (I hope Fel is not a male)
Here are some photos of her:

I've seen several snakes recently
This one was getting harassed by the neighbors cats (keep your cats indoors!!) And I helped escort it to safety

Second snake was absolutely tiny and I found it at a park (I actually saw 2 but the other one slithered away before I could take a photo)

If anyone knows the species of the snakes that'd be cool, I don't know much about snakes. They both were in North Carolina
Fed a bunch of spiders tonight
Aspera

Fel

This morning I discovered many more hissing roach babies who were just born
Animal stamps
These are free to use wherever you want (giving me credit somewhere would be nice obviously)

I am planning on posting more so here's a masterpost so I can keep them all in one place

Added more decor to the Madagascar hissing roach enclosure
I know they can learn to recognize people but mine haven't yet so I try to interact with them to show them new food and stuff and they just yell at me
The babies

I have collected 12 now and have been slowly adding them to the baby box as I see them
Also added calcium powder, more leaf litter and rotten wood, and fish flakes to the baby box

Magmar got a huge enclosure upgrade since I found a tank for $10 at a yard sale

She came out to explore a few hours later

keep crawling on!
