(death mention) / idk if this is a thing anywhere else but in the philippines, they say that when u see a monarch butterfly, its a sign that a dead loved one is watching over you. my grandmother passed away recently and ive seen monarch butterflies (or what i think are monarch butterflies) a few times since then. its so bittersweet. like im not even superstitious or anything. but. yeah.
My theory is 100% right. Who needs more proof that Rio is Death? Agatha lured covens with the idea of the witches' road to kill them and Rio took the bodies (I mean, it's her job and she likes doing it). Ofc the two would fall madly in love! (These witches are gay. Good for them, good for them). And all was cute and gay until the day death's hand reached for the only person Agatha cherished more than herself.
After that, I can imagine Agatha trying everything to make her son come back, even entering the witches' road. However, who would want to help her? It was her reputation that made it impossible for her to have a coven. So, what was her last resort? The Darkhold.
