Thank you for the ask! So, let's begin my essay about my favourite wizard, Gale Dekarios of Waterdeep.

How I feel about this character – I love him, I adore him, he owns my virtual heart (my real heart being in the possession of my IRL husband). At the same time Gale is me, I can relate to him in so many ways.

All the people I ship romantically with this character – all my Tavs, on every playthrough. And Lae'zel, she would like his fascination with the Astral plane, he would admire her bravery and teach her what love is.

Maybe Karlach is a viable option, but she fits both in this and the second question.

My non-romantic OTP for this character – Astarion! I cannot see them in a romantic relationship, but they would make funny buddies. As I said somewhere already, they would be the type of friends, in which one is of often embarrassed of what the other said.

My unpopular opinion about this character – that he is not rich, only middle-class (maybe not so unpopular). And that his mother is a wizard herself.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon – practically everything I want for him I can make through choices in BG3, so it exists in canon. I wish he would never have been told to kill himself, my heart aches for Gale every time Elminster comes and every time he tells Tav about his "last night alive". And I wish he could adopt Scratch and bring him to the City of Splendours.

I'm so sorry, I opened the Wikipedia article on what MBTI is, and I got so overwhelmed I nearly cried (I love doing research, but this one is completely out of my field of study, and maybe it's my mental health issues). I figured out these words mean types of character.

So, I'll tell you about Laerie. She's an entertainer, a performer, a star. She has to maintain a persona – cheerful, confident personality, who wants to impress everyone around her. But inside she is highly insecure, depressive, emotional and sentimental. All at the same time.

I hope this description will be enough.

Gale Dekarios. I know, I know, I talk a lot about him, but he never ceases to amaze me. To write him is a challenge (after all, this character was created by gods of scriptwriting), but a rewarding one. Arrogant and caring for others, highly intellectual and deeply sensual, Faust and a greek god. I will never be able to create such a character, but I will give my own interpretation to the world.
