I Mean, They Could Just NOT Do Them On This Server. It's Not Like They're Doing Everything In The Same

I mean, they could just NOT do them on this server. It's not like they're doing everything in the same order as the original server. They're doing the Hell events out of order, so why not just... DON'T write these kinds of events into the script for this server? It would be less work for them, more time could be spent implementing new chapters, and people wouldn't complain as much. A win-win situation all around, but nooooo... They want to make ALL the money ever.

You do realize these events were already set

It’s not like they can change past events they’re just rehashing them for NA servers

Fun fact: the Chinese server DOES NOT have ranked events. iirc it’s Japan that holds the original rank events. The Chinese had one and protested it so much the devs on their server made sure they never had one again. They get suits from the ranked events on the Japanese server as craftable items. And keep in mind, this is a Chinese game.

We also made our disdain for ranked events known with the last one. Our devs responded, saying they would try and tailor events that was more to our base’s liking. BUT HERE WE ARE WITH ANOTHER ONE. Only part of the outrage is over the event itself, but now we’re pissed that our devs ignored and basically lied to us as well.

Not Dead, Just Busy And Sick. I Drew This A Few Days Ago, But Due To The Aforementioned Issues, I Havent

Not dead, just busy and sick. I drew this a few days ago, but due to the aforementioned issues, I haven’t been able to post it. IS did good with a groom Marth, but can I get uhhhhh… moar Altean variants? (Hopefully we might have an Altean Summer or Winter banner).

(Available a 5🌟)

Kris: Never The Bride (Green Axe Infantry)

“I am Kris, a knight of– what? The dress? I-it’s nothing, it’s just a dress. There’s nothing weird about it!”

Weapon: Floral Besom+ (mt 14, If unit is adajacent to ally at start of turn, grants Atk+ 4)

B skill: Chill Def 3 (At the start of each turn, inflicts Def-7 on foe on the enemy team with the highest Def through its next action)

Special: Moonbow

Frey: Not A Groom (Blue Tome Infantry)

“You may call me Frey. The festival I was at supplied liquor; rest assured that’s the only reason I was there.”

Weapon: Brautbecher+ (mt10, Inflicts spd -5, if unit initiates combat, unit attacks twice)

B skill: Honey Wine (at start of turn, restore 7 hp, grant +3 res (cannot be inherited))

C skill: Spd Tactic 3 (At start of turn, grants Spd+6 to allies within 2 spaces for 1 turn. Granted only if number of that ally’s movement type on current team ≤ 2)

Regarding the weapons, a besom is just a fancy word for a traditional broom, and I think we all know the phrase “Jumping the Broom”. As for Frey’s deal, a brautbecher is a cup designed for a bride and groom to drink from at the same time. And his honey wine is more commonly known as “mead”, the drinking of which after a wedding is thought to give way to the term “honeymoon”. He does *not* want to get married, but who turns down an open bar?

If taking asian characters and making them white is "whitewashing" then doing the same and making them black is technically "blackwashing", but alright then. Let's call it what you should've been calling it from the get go. Backface. You're bitching that there's not enough blackface in this game for you. Maybe go watch a minstrel show if you want it so badly.

Actually, people complain all the time about other events costing diamonds and therefor, money. And when they do, everyone jumps down their throat telling them to shut up, "you can't get EVERYTHING for free" "stop being entitled" "no one's FORCING you to pay" "lol, look at all the greedy children". If you haven't seen f2p players complaining that they can't even get ONE suit from normal events, then you either haven't been to the facebook page, or willfully ignore them.

The difference between normal events and ranking events, however, is that a.) The suits from other events come back either in the store or as craftables, so there's less pressure to get them then and there. Even hell suits come back, albeit more expensive the second time around. And b.) People spending money during normal events has no impact on other players. For instance, I spent about $50 during the Evernight event to get all five suits. That did not stop anyone else who also spent money from getting them because they were available to everyone. If I were to spend, say, $100 dollars to get to rank 3000 in THIS event, well, I've just bumped down the person who had previously spent $99 to get to that rank, thus taking the suit away from them. People are complaining more about the fact that not only do you have to spend money on this event, but spending money is no guarentee that you'll get everything because this is a live auction that only has 500 full suits to go around for the thousands of people playing.

This Is Actually An Excellent Point!

this is actually an excellent point!

unless you have enough diamonds saved up practically every event requires you to spend some money to complete each set. then theres the sets you have to buy. then theres the top up sets.

all of these are definitely predatory towards people with impulse control but nobody said a damn thing until it came to something they personally couldnt get their hands on.

as someone diagnosed as severely ocd with hoarding/spending habits it really grinds my gears that these people pretend to care about people like us when theyre just mad they cant have their own way

You know, I'm sorry, but I just have to say this: you and all the people furiously agreeing with you have never heard of Daryl Davis, have you? Here's the cliff notes version- he's a black musician who spent 30 years befriending members of the KKK. And before you call him a race traitor or something, he's gotten 200 klansmen to give up their robes, and abandon their racist views. And guess how he did it? It wasn't by sticking his fingers in his ears so he wouldn't have to hear people with different beliefs. It was by debating and disagreeing with them. This is from an interview he gave to NPR; I'm gonna put the whole quote here so no one can say it's out of context, but also because it's just so poignant and true.

You Know, I'm Sorry, But I Just Have To Say This: You And All The People Furiously Agreeing With You

Listen up, because this is something the TRIGGER WARNING culture of today seems keen on forgetting; beliefs are not static. They are permeable and yeilding and ever changing. No one was born believing anything. When you were young, you probably believed in Santa and the Tooth Fairy, and when you grew up, you realized that was wrong- it was your parents who left presents under the tree and money under your pillow. When you were a teenager, you were probably involved in some trendy phase you thought was the best thing ever that, looking back on it, was absolutely cringeworthy. And before anyone tries to argue that those examples aren't the same as politics, THEY ARE.

America, as a country, thought gay people were mentally ill until literally a few decades ago. Now, gay marriage is legal. Every single thing that you're saying you SHOULDN'T be fighting about because people who disagree with you are wrong and that's final is something THE ENTIRE COUNTRY fought about until it was argued, passionately, and for years on end, by people who cared enough to change other people's minds. If someone was friends with you in the first place (though, given how small minded and biggoted you sound on paper, one has to wonder how that happened), it's doubtful they thought YOU shouldn't vote or have healthcare. If they were your best friend before political shit hit the fan, they didn't see you as some kind of "other"- they saw you as a person, like them. Which means they were capable of seeing EVERYONE like you as a person, like them. But rather than nurture that seed of understanding, you'd rather salt the earth and ensure all they think of people like you is that they're petty, childish idiots who can't argue a point because they're wrong. People might not know all the facts that you do. They might not understand the hardships of people who have different experiences than them. And yes, of course there will ALWAYS be some people whose minds you just cannot change because they are 5000% sure they're right, but that's not everyone. One man reduced the number of card carrying racists by 200 by debating with them. What have you all done by ignoring their existance?

White dudes have this thing where they believe your best friend in the world can have opposing political ideas. You’re supposed to be able to have healthy debate and disagreeing shouldn’t harm your friendship. That’s gross and stupid. Its really easy to say that when all your disagreements are theoretical. Its easy to say when none of the laws passed actually effect your life. Fighting with your best friend about corporate regulations, school charters, educational funding, abortion, health care, voting restrictions, drug laws, taxes and all sorts of stuff is cool and lively because none of it is going to actually leave you in a bad spot. Its different for the rest of us. I can’t be friends with you if you think I shouldn’t be allowed to vote. We can’t be friends if you think my friends shouldn’t have the ability to designate whatever gender they want and have that be legally recognized. We can’t be friends if you think I don’t deserve health care. Or if you think native children should be ripped away from their cultures and people. We can’t be friends if you think closing down health care clinics in an attempt to end safe legal abortions is a good thing. All these theoretical political ideas and lively debates effect real people, and I won’t be friends with someone who disagrees with me on them. Because disagreement means you don’t see me or a whole bunch of my friends and family as human beings worthy of rights and respect.
