Ever since you and Jungwon started dating it’s all you’ve ever known. He’s the most caring and gentle boyfriend you’ve ever had. 

Literally. 

You were scared of love and relationships after watching countless family members experience heartache. It took time but Jungwon was able to slither his way into your heart. 

You expressed your worries to him, your commitment issues and other concerns and he took in every word you said. He’s very observant and attentive that he knows when to not push your boundaries as well. 

He couldn’t be more perfect. . .

“YAH! THE LEFT THE LEFT! HYUNG!!” 

Maybe if he had his own dorm it’d be perfect.

Jungwon groans a bit as he’s woken from his half sleep state by Riki. You blink open your eyes slowly to look up at him from beneath his gray hoodie he gave you. The dorms are always pretty chilly and he’s aware of how sensitive to temperatures you are.

He has a bit of bed head, his brows creasing in annoyance as he shuffles closer, tightening his hand around your waist. 

“Y/N.” His voice is deep and airy making your heart jump. His eyes are still closed as you watch him and reply with a hum.

After a few seconds he moves his head down closer to you and blinks open his eyes. You stare into each others’ eyes, holding your breath. After a moment passes he smiles and his eyes crinkle a bit.

The sight makes you smile back and he nuzzles closer into the hood with you. Your noses touch and you let out a puff of air.

“Did you get waken up baby?” He asks.

“No. . .I was still up, just. .”

“Just what? What’s my pretty Y/N thinking about?”

“Just thinking of how much I adore you. .” You reply shyly.

Jungwon blushes and moves in to peck your lips. “I love you baby.”

“I love you too, Wonnie.”

You both continue to lay in each others arms, legs tangled, as Jungwon talks lowly to you inside the hood. Its full of airy chuckles and lights pecks.

Jay passes by the shared room and shakes his head with Sunghoon and Jake shoving each other in follow. 

Y/N gets rejected by their crush and Yeonjun comforts them while they eat edibles on the front porch

Good To Be Home

It’s been three months since Mingi took some time away from the members and idol life in general. However, that didn’t exclude you. You haven’t seen Mingi either, only a few texts here and there and one or two FaceTime calls. It was getting harder and harder being away from him when you’re so used to being in his presence.

Today is one of the days Mingi contact you while he’s away with his relatives. 

Mingi <3 : Hey baby

Me : Mingi! How’re you? 

Mingi <3 :  I’m good, you? Have you eaten today? 

Me : Yup, have you? 

Me : I actually had some of your favorite last night. Extra crispy chicken with cheese and steamed broccoli. 

Me : Y’know, to balance the healthy. 

Mingi scoffs with a small smile on his face. He doesn’t always eat cheese with his chicken but he knows how much of a cheese lover you are.

Mingi <3 : My baby girl, as healthy as ever. 

Me : Pft, don’t tease me, jerk. 

Me : When are you coming home.. the bed is so cold without you here. Like I’m married to a overly busy Sub-Zero. 

That gets a louder laugh out of Mingi, the smile reaching his eyes and he realizes just how much he really misses you. 

Mingi <3 : Soon baby, soon. Wait for me yeah? 

Me : I love you Songi.

Mingi <3 : I love you too Y/NN 

You huff and pull yourself out of your bed, fuzzy socks protecting you from the cold floor. The loft is pretty warm, opting for you to dress comfy in some shorts and matching cami. 

You pad your way into the kitchen area and perch yourself on the high stools, staring down at your takeout. It’s more of like a tradition at this point for you to cook one day and Mingi the other so in his place, you order takeout. 

It’s no big deal because you’re glad you’re helping out your local Korean bbq place during these times. Sometimes you’d visit and order from the local Chinese restaurant as well. 

The food wafts your senses completely as you pick up your chopsticks and dig in. To battle the silence you turn on your radio and connect your phone. Your playlist kicks on shuffle and Baekhyun’s Cry For Love comes on and you hum while scrolling through Twitter. 

Through your lack of senses you don’t register the loft doors opening after the door code is punched in. It’s not until you feel extra heat radiating against your back that all your senses kick back in and you grip your chopsticks. 

You turn quickly and stab forward without hesitation only for your wrist to be caught. You look up at the intruder’s face, alarmed.

“Min..gi?” The chopsticks clatter against the hardwood floor as they drop from your hand and you launch yourself into his arms. “Baby!” You kiss his ear, cheek and neck then pull away to kiss his lips. 

The kiss is sweet as always, his hands cradling your thighs, squeezing softly as you hold his face while rubbing the apples of his cheeks. When you both pull away you peck his lips one last time as your heart soars with excitement that he’s really here. 

“When.. when did you get back?” His smile reaches his eyes as he nuzzles your neck, breathing in your familiar scent. 

“Not too long ago. Hyung picked me up from the airport and I spoke with them a bit before I rushed over here. I missed my baby girl too much to stay away any longer. Plus, I feel a lot better, I really needed a breather.”

You listen to him and nods understandingly then motions towards the large couch. He walks you both over and sits down, relaxing into the couch as you straddle him, trying to stay as close as possible. 

He chuckles as it doesn’t go unnoticed by him, his hands moving from your thighs to your hips. “I’m here baby, I won’t be going anywhere any time soon. Relax.” He tells you with a gentle squeeze.

You didn’t realize you were still a bit tensed with emotions of having him back and so close. Your body immediately relaxes and you run your fingers through his hair. 

“Keep talking.. how was everything?” You encourage. You know this break was personal for him that it’s not even something he shared with you and you respect that. 

“Everything was great. It was hard at the start. I was so accustomed to what we had going on for the past year that the first few weeks away were..painful. I missed you and the guys so much but I knew this was something I needed to do. I was too overwhelmed.” 

You hum and offer him a small smile and you continue to run your fingers through his hair as he talks, calming him even more.

“Mom and dad were really understanding and they practically spoiled me with any and everything.” You both chuckle, knowing they were just happy to see their busy son for such a long time. 

“My brother and I went fishing for the first time then we went to the sauna. I spent most of my time there not gonna lie. It was so relaxing and just.. eased my soul and I did a lot of thinking and reflecting there.” 

“I’m glad you were able to find some peace and that this break treated you well. You know that all we want is your happiness. I’m so proud of you and what you’ve accomplished. You’re an amazing partner, artist and brother to our friends.”

Mingi feels his chest constrict and he bites his bottom lip and his nose stings. You immediately notice the changes and wrap your arms around him, guiding him to your chest. He wraps his arms around you and holds you tightly as he allows himself to be vulnerable before you.

He doesn’t cry, he simply buries his face into your chest and closes his eyes, enjoying your comfort. “My sweet boy.. welcome home.”

Mingi leans back and stares up into your eyes, feeling confident that he’s safe within your arms.. where he belongs. He brings you down and kisses you lovingly.

“It’s good to be home.”
