ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
I don't know who they are [the people buried]. Every time I pass by here, I stop and say hello. We found them weeks ago lying and covered in their own blood in the middle of the road, two young men in the flower of their youth seemed as if they are sleeping. We buried them in the eastern region of Al Saraya.
I am sorry to all the unidentified martyrs. I am sorry to every martyr we did not bury till now. I am sorry to all the martyrs we couldn't register the names of or save their pictures. I am sorry to every martyr who offered his soul for the land [Gaza/Palestine] and wasn't given his own grave to rest in. I am sorry to my friend Refaat @/itranslate123 who has been under the rubble for 40 days and still is. I am sorry once to the martyrs we know, and a thousand times for those we don't.
END OF TRANSLATION

The idea of having a loved one killed and buried without my knowledge is terrifying. However, it is the reality of many Palestinians who bury unidentified martyrs, and the Palestinians who cannot find their family members and do not know whether they're still alive or not. We must keep talking about Palestine, and we must keep exposing the crimes of the Israeli occupation!
For international people, it's our 'Australia Day' today also known as Invasion Day, and protestors all over the country are using their protestor power not just to talk about Aboriginal Rights, as we have the last few years, but are marching for Palestine too👏
And are facing a lot of confusion and criticism from the media for 'confusing the issue' but everyone marching Knows that it's the Same issue, our oppressors are their oppressors, it's all the same fight. From the river to the sea, always was always will be

GLOBAL STRIKE FOR GAZA BEGINS TODAY!!!

We have been asked to strike during these days by the lovely & hardworking journalist Bisan from Gaza. Let's all try our best for a people being tested with the harshest conditions imaginable. The occupation must be held accountable.
We're in this together!!
I want Palestine to be free as much as the next person, but I feel so hopeless right now. Protests didn't stop the Vietnam war, protests didn't stop the war in Afghanistan, protests didn't stop the Iraq war, protests didn't stop the conflict between Tibet and China, protests didn't stop the war in Ukraine. Why should we think protests are going to help Palestine? I feel like I might as well yell at a brick wall. I really really REALLY want to be wrong, but history are starting to tell me otherwise.
You're thinking that protests will get us a win on the ground, or that they might directly impact the decision makers' positions. They won't (not in. 2 years ago, people would call you anti-semitic for criticising the crimes of Israel. The best thing you could get out of people was "I just don't get why they can't get along" But now, its mainstream to support the Palestinian cause. It's popular, if you will. People understand the humanity behind it, they have educated themselves on an at least surface level. That's a win.
Palestinians don't want us to protest for a ceasefire to happen, we're not strong enough to ensure immediate peace as civilians. What we can do is remember. Nations don't rise or fall overnight, it will take time. What we do is learn about Palestine, teach about Palestine, feel for the Palestinian cause. We don't do this to see the fruits of our efforts in our lifetime, but to make sure we're doing something. We might not live to see a free Palestine, but at least we'll die knowing we did something to make it happen :]
I understand you feeling hopeless, but oppressors don't last. The rgihteous will always win, sometimes in ways that are subtle. Don't lose your hope because hope is all you've got.

This global strike is for 1 week. It starts on January 21st and goes until January 28th. These folks on X have complied information for people to read about. This is the LEAST we can do. The bare minimum. Unless it is for necessity or you have to work of course -please participate.
As always, free Palestine!
