Protest - Tumblr Posts

Hey friends! Peaceful student protestors were arrested near me, and this company helped. Review bomb Olympia Moving and Storage, and donate to the bail fund if you can. I'm trying to spread these links so these innocent people can get out of detention and this company can answer to their complicity. Thank you!

Guys I too will not be posting or on tumblr all of tomorrow. I recommend you do the same.

I won’t be posting Monday December 17 to protest the imposition of censorship on Tumblr

Clothing representing the 11,500 Palestinian and 36 Israeli children who have been killed in Gaza were laid out on Bournemouth beach this week.
The 5km line of second-hand clothes was created by activists were laid out to illustrate the scale of child deaths in Gaza.
Each set of clothing represents a child who had been killed.
So urce
In a statement Police have claimed the mother was in a state of distress dangerously wandering the road. When they offered their assistance the mother denied. But in an effort to protect her and the children they detained the mother so they could take her to the hospital. The children didn't want to leave their mother so the police had a difficult time separating them. They claim they eventually got the kids and took then to the hospital to be with their mother.
Sounds like some bs.
At least two of the kids look old enough to understand if the police had calmly explained the situation. They also look old enough to carry their own siblings giving the police no reason to touch them.
I dunno mom looks pretty conscious of her actions to me. Also the boys would be old enough to keep their young sibling from dangerously crossing the road. The oldest could probably even keep their mom from such action.
One officer detaining the mom appears to be having to much fun with wandering hands. And maybe it's just me but the other appears to be smirking keeping the toddler away from their brothers.
Only the girls are the ones detained or held. That's suspicious.
No one has been able to find them for a comment. However it's important, especially now, their side be told.
Someone find them! Not to just get their story but to make sure they are actually safe.

Find these men, they actually laid hands on kids
So apparently KOSA (2024 edition) is getting either thrown out until next year or put into effect in six days.
Update that's going in the main post at the top: it has enough support to pass.
It failed the last two times because people were voting against it.
This time, KOSA has traction among the pro-LGBTQ parties. Because nobody is fucking calling their bullshit and screaming from the rooftops that calling it the "Kids Online Safety Act" is misleading.
What will it passing do?
Nothing much, only prevent any education on LGBTQIA+ (it's that stupid fucking argument about us grooming kids again), shut down nearly every fandom space on the internet, and make it required for most big tech companies to have your ID.
Want to have resources for kids to discover their identity readily available? Yes? Then fucking speak up against this stupid fucking bill.
Fandom spaces like Tumblr, Twitter (? I thought the MAGA assholes liked Musk?), Tiktok, Archive Of Our Own, and any other website that hosts fanfic or fanart? Either shut down permanently, forced to uproot to a different country and down for a while (best case scenario, and they likely won't be able to send any data, and therefore fanfics, to the US), or gutted so that you only get to put G rated cishet ships on there, if any shipping at all. How to avoid that? I've already said it: Call your fucking representatives.
Want to avoid the fucking dystopic task of being legally obligated to give big tech your government issue ID? Again, cause an uproar. Call your goddamned representatives.
If they can pass this, the ripple effects could be catastrophic.
So, for fuck's sake, any Americans that can impact this stupid fucking bill and see this? Do everything in your power to shut it down because you have until February twenty sixth (26th) to send this bill back to where it belongs.
And if you can't do that? Reblog, copy my tags, and boost the signal.
Sorry not sorry for ranting, making you scroll through that, and swearing a probably excessive amount, but KOSA is a bill with a GLOBAL IMPACT being passed by ONE COUNTRY because some old people are scared of two guys with who were told they were girls kissing within five hundred miles of a child. Fuck this shit, I shouldn't have to worry about bad bills in America but I fucking do because I use the internet and would like to avoid mass censorship. Fuck this, fuck conservatives, and fuck the fact that some boomers make your country's policies.
Now, if you won't mind me, I'm going to be up until three in the morning downloading fanfiction or copying and pasting them into a a text file if I can't so I can read them by the end of the week.

(Salamanca, Fall 2011)
Now is a time of protest in Spain and across the world. Earlier this semester, Salmantinos against bullfighting gathered in the Plaza Mayor to voice their discontent. It was an interesting dynamic, because many citizens are pro-bullfighting, and some shouted throughout the rally to disrupt it. Bullfighting is mostly popular with the older generation, but it will likely be a long time before it becomes illegal across Spain.
The 15M movement has also been demonstrating in the Plaza almost every day since I've been in Salamanca. Starting out as a disorganized mass, it has recently become a rallying force throughout Spain, as well as in some other cities in the world. This past weekend, hundreds of people gathered to voice their discontent with Spain's high unemployment, among other social issues.

As the police escalate violence, beat and attack students and professors, and conduct mass arrests, student protesters should know their rights.
Here is the link to the National Lawyer's Guild booklet for protesters.
If you plan on going out to support the protests, please take some time to read through this and know your rights.
When the rest of the world looks at the united states right now, we see a government who sends billions to support genocide but cannot help their own people starving on the streets.
We see a police force who won't go in to save children from school shootings, but deploy at a rapid rate to arrest peaceful protestors using their right to free speech to protest a genocide
America, you are a war mongering snake eating your own tail. You will protect and support war criminals in another country but let your own people starve and die
To the students bravely protesting now, we see your strength. We see what we saw when students protested the Vietnam War. We have faith you will prevail
KOSA UPDATE
It passed the Commerce Committee markup with a unaminous vote. But this shit is far from over.
Keep calling your senators and representatives, email them, and POST about the KOSA bill and its dangers everyday until this tomfuckery is shutdown!
KOSA is dangerous as it now threatens end to end encryption, which means EVERYTHING we have internet is in threat of being compromised. We NEED to do something about it and even if you have anxiety, you can do something about. I did, and I felt like I was going to die as I was doing it, but I did it!
If you're not comfortable with calling, email them, sign petitions, post about it on social media. Blow KOSA up, it worked last time and that's why it didn't pass. So let's do it again!
We need action, our privacy and our safety is at stake! This goes beyond violating our 1st and 4th amendments!
STOP KOSA
STOP EARN IT ACT
STOP RESTRICT ACT
STOP CSAM
STOP COOPER DAVIS
These bills are a threat to kids AND adults and they need to be stopped! Keep calling, keep emailing, keep being a pain in their ass!
Edit: If this passes, it won't just affect Americans, this will affect everything and everyone worldwide. So even if you aren't American you can help us fight! You can call, email, and sign petitions!
Edit 2: No further moves are going to be made on KOSA until after August as Congress is on recess, but it WILL come back in September. So we need to keep pushing, we need to be loud! Keep calling and email your representatives and senators!
This video comes from Quds News Network, a volunteer based Palestinian News organization. To those who may be unwilling to trust such an organization, here's a human rights watch article on the IDF's tendency to attack the elderly. This is all to say the information above is accurate.

That being said, please refrain from calling all those individuals swept up into this war on the Israeli side to all be genocidal. The IDF still uses conscription, and despite the lack of enforcement in the past, current dodging will get you tossed into jail. The longer you refuse, the longer you're sentenced to. To sum up, it's similar to the US involvement with Vietnam in that many soldiers are willing and gleefully committing atrocities in the name of Israel, and some are just there because they must be. To accuse all of that crime is a disservice to those who must attend such violence.

The sadness and despair in those eyes...
There are no innocent soldiers in iof, including the women. I've seen female soldiers laughing and dancing at the misery of Palestinian people and doing heinous acts just like their male counterparts.
FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸

Zionists get out!!
Changed my blog name from maxisawell to maxisanangrywell and content is going to shift just a tiny bit. Gonna post about things going on in the states, and still posting COD headcanons.
in case you're wondering how we got to the point fascism is so rampant in this country, I urge you to look at the history of the USA with the lens of a POC person. And to also look up Operation Paperclip. We've always been the wolf hurting some sort of minority, now they're focusing their attention to the vast majority of us.
It's almost like AFAB people were warning us when they overturned Roe they would come for others too.
Further more, if Israel is a police state and our best friend/political foothold, what makes you think this line of genocidal thinking hasn't came from the United States and fester here? This right now is about control, they are pushing us right now to see how much we fight back, so fight like your life depends on it because it does.
ive been to a lot of protests in my life and a thing that a lot of people dont understand is that a protest is a threat. its a large group of people saying “we are being nice now, but you must understand that if we stop being nice we have the power to cause you Problems”.
so everyone saying that protests have to be more polite or follow accepted rules is missing the entire point. the point of a protest is not to say “we disagree with you”, they already know that. the point of a protest is to make it clear that if they continue to do things you disagree with, you will burn down their house.
now this wont stop them because theyre stupid and arrogant and believe themselves to be beyond consequence. so here’s the really important thing and that’s that after they do it anyway, you have to burn down their house

Cable St Mural (detail) - Dave Binnington Savage, Paul Butler, Ray Walker and Desmond Rochfort
The Battle of Cable Street took place on Sunday 4 October 1936 in Cable Street, as a result of a march by the British Union of Fascists led by Oswald Mosley. Anti-fascist protesters, including local Jewish, socialist, anarchist, Irish and communist groups, clashed with the Metropolitan Police, who attempted to remove the barricades erected to stop the march.
