Localization Notes: Determination's Importance.
Toby began by defining what "determination" is in the game and how it factors into the story in different ways:
(Toby speaking) "Determination" - Possibly THE most important key word in the entire game. Should you change it, choosing a good word for this is really important. Meaning of the word determination as most commonly used in the game:
-Resolve to continue
-Will to live
-Refusal to give up/die (appears to be related to fighting spirit in some cases)
"Determination" also turns out to be Alphys' code word for an actual physical substance that she injects into monsters, one that humans produce naturally in large quantities. This substance has the following properties:
-Creatures with too much are unable to die (de-termination)
-The being with the most "Determination" in the underground has the power to change fate and use the in-game save/load system
I think there are a few words like this in JP, right? You'll have to strike a good balance between what's the best fit. But also, "determination" is an unusual word, and thus it's really increased the quotability of the save point line ("It fills you with determination..." So if there's a way to get the meaning while also being a bit more iconic/quotable, go for that.

stamen bugs!

the tail petals of these guys (pictured splayed out beside them) are very vibrant and wave around to attract polinators!!

their tails make nectar for the pollinators to eat, and the stamen bug will pet the pollinator with its anthers, spreading its 'pollen' and making the pollinator happy ^_^

they are hermaphrodites and they sneeze their microscopic little eggs into the wind! also their skin is photosynthetic and they can live up to ~15 years :D

they are very stupid and make up for it by reproducing a LOT. I think they would make good pets because they don't generally recognize anything as a threat
