[2:23] you grip the blue plastic on the silver shopping cart, gently pushing it down the produce aisle. your back is pressed against your boyfriend’s chest, his arms caging you in.his hands grip the bar on either side of yours. your boyfriend, seungmin, picks up the crinkled, notebook paper with a short grocery list scribbled on it and reads it quietly to himself. you pretend to be interested in the green bananas on your left.

although you cherished every moment you shared with seungmin, you could think of a million other places you would rather be, most including your couch and a nap. 

“c’mon y/n, we just have a couple more things to get and then we can leave,” seungmin tries to encourage you to finish the trip. 

you sigh out an okay and start pushing the cart again. Before you could get far though, seungmin grabs your waist and pulls you back to his chest, lips immediately starting to leave feather light kisses on your neck. He turns your body to where you’re facing him and he holds you as close as he can. the two stay like that for a while, bodies molded together. seungmin’s fingertips rub small circles into your hips, and whispers sweet encouragements into your ear. you take a couple deep breaths, before pulling away and pressing your lips against his. your hands squish his cheeks together, and you smile against him. when you let go of him his eyes are wide and he’s zoned out. you giggle at the way he acts like every kiss you give him is his first. 

you grab the cart and move forward once more, yelling behind you, “thank you baby! i love you.”

that snaps seungmin out of his daze and he darts toward you and lays his hand on the small of your waist, “anytime, babe.”

[8:27pm] “-and he was just so adorable and i couldn’t help but fall in love with the little puppy so i brought him home with me and he’s been my best friend ever since,” you glance up from your water glass. your date is focused on you and through the dim lighting you can make out the fond look in his eyes. you look away already feeling warmth crawl up your cheeks. “sorry, i didn’t mean to talk so much. i didn’t mean to bother you,” you mumble.

this was only your second date with hyunjin and you didn’t want to overwhelm him. god you really didn't want to scare him away. you were already so infatuated with the boy. a warm hand touching the top of your own brings you out of your thoughts.

“woah you aren’t bothering me. i like hearing you tell stories,” hyunjin says and you can tell he genuinely means it. “so what did you name this best friend of yours,” he asks. you pause and think about if he really wants you to continue talking. when you decide he’s being honest you launch back into the story. as you’re talking you miss the invested look in his eyes.

little did you know hyunjin was just as infatuated with you as you are with him. he loves hearing you tell stories. he could listen to your voice everyday all day for the rest of his life and he would be happy. as you stare at each other from across the table you both begin to think you finally met your soulmate.
