I am SLOWLY manifesting a crossover AU where we go with the interpretation that Akechi did die in the engine room and ends up in Hell where he (reluctantly) checks into the Hazbin Hotel and hijinks ensue (for better or worse). But idk if we're ready for this yet... 🤭

HC of Alastor's deal with Lilith, and also HC for what he was wearing when he ended up in Hell. I theorized if Lilith has Alastor in a deal it's to protect Charlie and Lucifer. He hates being forced to act against his will and hates that he is actually developing a concern for those he feels forced to be in the company of and this could explain his animosity towards Lucifer and his snake-like feminist attitude towards Charlie. Lucifer isn't as composed as Lilith nor is Charlie as wise and street smart as her so through them Alastor can cope with his loss of control by controlling small aspects of those closest to Lilith.

So I can't help but think now:

"Kasumi" can represent the Reversed Faith card: Putting her faith in a lie and relying on someone who genuinely had her best interests at heart but was ultimately going to destroy her if she doesn't stop running and being overly dependent. She does have small moments of overconfidence as well (partially because of Sumire's own biased view of her sister).

Sumire meanwhile can be the card Upright: Letting go of her past and self-hatred. She's reborn with new confidence and loving herself as opposed to living in an idealized delusion. She also finds a balance between her beliefs and the Thieves' own (it's ok to help yourself and be self-reliant but don't be afraid to rely on others to help you if needed).
