Such A Tease - Angel Dust x Female Human Reader Part 1/2

Requested by @lokis-imaginary-friend . This story is going to include a female human reader in Hell, also contain some parts from the pilot Enjoy!

**Arriving In Hell**

You don't remember the fall, but you did feel your body smack hard against the ground. Opening your eyes, groggily, your irises fixated on the blood red sky in front of you, along with some buildings. What? Getting up from your position, you realized you had landed somewhere in an back alley. Standing up, you slowly walked away from where you landed, and out of the alley. You saw more of the city surrounding you, covered in neon lights and pretty graphic billboards. What shocked you the most were the people. No one looked human anymore, everyone had either an animalistic or monstrous form. This had to be dream you thought while pinching your arm, but you were still in this strange place, so it was clear this was not a dream, but reality. Deciding to explore a bit more, your eyes gazed at your surroundings, trying to figure out what kind of world this was. Unfortunately, you had gazed at a group of tall wolf like men, who had caught you staring at them. Looking away, you continued to speed walk, but it was too late.

"Hey look at that one! Ahoooo!", "Heh, she looks like a good time." "I wonder how she will taste." The voices you heard from behind you sent shivers down your spine. Continuing to walk faster, you attempted to avoid them. "Hey girlie, wait up. We just wanna talk to you, right boys? "Right" Looking back, you saw the sadistic looks on their faces, making your skin crawl. Your legs when from walking to running, as you sped down the road in front of you. "GET HER!!!" a loud voice bellowed behind you, and the multiple sounds of feet clattering behind you. You moved swiftly, taking many left and right turns to try to avoid them, but they were still tailing behind you.

"SCREEECHHHH" The sound of a car screeching, stopped you in your tracks, and a white limo had whipped up right in front of you. The door flew open, and you heard a feminine voice yell out "GET IN!" as they grabbed your arm and pulled you inside. The limo then sped off, and away from the creepy wolf men. It took you a while to catch your breath, playing a hand on your chest. "Are you okay?" the same voice that had told you to get in appeared next to you. Turning your head, you saw a blonde girl with red dotted cheeks next to you, sitting on her knees. She was wearing a pinkish suit with a black bowtie. Her hand was placed on your shoulder, giving you a sense of calmness. Nodding your head, you said you were okay and thanked her for the save. She smiled back, as she continued to sit with you on the floor of the limo, making sure you had caught your breath. Looking around, you noticed there were others inside the vehicle. Behind the blonde girl was a lavender-skinned woman, with long white hair. She looked very intimidating, given how hard she was glaring at you. On your left, there was a tall, lanky man, with multiple arms. He was wearing a rather flashy outfit and black heels. He was very fluffy the more you looked at him, and the little dots under his eyes reminded you of a spider.

Having managed to calm down, you looked right back at the girl next to you, saying you were good now. She got up from her position, taking you by the hand, and leading you over to where the spider man was sitting. She had sat back down, next to the white hair girl. "Ohh I'm sorry! I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Charlie Morningstar! It's a pleasure to meet you." She smiled at you, brightly. You swear you thought you saw sparkles flying behind her. She then pointed to the girl next to her: "This is Vaggie. my girlfriend. And the one next to you is Angel Dust." You nodded your head at Vaggie and then looked back at Angel Dust. He was too busy messing with the car window switch to even register you were looking at him.

"Um...my name is Y/N. I do have a question, where am I?" Charlie eyes widen, surprised you didn't know where you were. "We are in the Pride ring in Hell. Are you a newcomer by chance?" Her eyes looked at you with concern, including Vaggie, as her demeanor soften. WAIT WHAT?!? YOU WERE IN HELL?!?! A million thoughts were flooding your mind right now, wondering how did this happen. Does that mean your now a demon?!

Thinking back to Charlie introducing yourself, the last name Morningstar rang a bell. "Wait your last name is Morningstar, so that means your..." Charlie smiled and gave a little bow while sitting: "Yup! I am the princess of Hell and daughter of Lucifer Morningstar and Lilith!" She said that so casually like it was nothing! Gazing at her more, you noticed she did have some princess-like qualities to her. She noticed you staring and asked what was wrong. "Sorry! Its just...I expected the princess of hell to be a bit more scary and devilish, but you're very pretty and sweet." She smiled widely at that, thanking you for the compliment.

"What about you toots? Why ya look like that?" a thick, Brooklyn accent had spoken next to you, and the feeling of an arm had wrapped around your shoulder. Realizing it was Angel Dust, you looked up at him, gazing into his miscolored eyes. "Um like what?" You tiled your head, confused. "Like that. Ya look alive." He was digging into his pocket for something, until he pulled out a little compact mirror and held it up in front of you. Gasping, you grabbed the mirror and looked at your reflection. Your face had stayed the same, no demonic fangs or horns. The only thing that was noticeably different were your eyes. They were now golden yellow with cat-like slits in the center. Vaggie then spoke: "I realized that too. You look more like a human then a demon."

Taking in what you saw, you tried to figure out how was this happening. How did you end up in hell, but still remained a human? This didn't make any sense. Is that why you were chased? Because you looked like a human? Letting out a sigh, you handed the mirror back to Angel Dust, as you leaned back, head against the car window , wrapping your arms on your legs. "Hey its going to be alright. I understand this is a big shock to you, but it will be okay. You can stay at the hotel too." Charlie had gotten up from where she was sitting, and sat down on the floor next to you, grabbing your hands. giving you some comfort. Hotel? What she mean by that? Asking her what she meant, she bounced with excitement, telling you how she was running a hotel to rehabilitate sinners, so they could ascend to heaven. Wow. The daughter of the king of hell itself was doing something like that. She really was a princess. You thanked Charlie, appreciating that she had given you a place to stay, which she responded back with a hug.

The limo drew to a halt, and then the doors opened. Everyone had gotten out with you being the last one. In front of you was a massive building, at least seven stories tall. A large neon sign was attached to it that read “Happy Hotel.” It was in a bit of a disarray, as what looked to be a ship boat was attached to it, as well as a carousal. It was odd, but kinda nice. Having entered inside, you noticed that the interior needed some work. The area was very untidy, with wooden boards scattered around along with some cobwebs. At least the couches were clean enough for you to sit. Walking over to it, you took a seat, as you watched Angel Dust head towards some sort of cooler, pulling out a popsicle. You noticed Charlie was sitting on some sort of crate, looking slightly upset. Angel dust made a comment about getting some more food in for all the sinners coming to the hotel. Well that clearly made Charlie more upset, as she sunk down further on the crate. You noticed Angel wasn't being silly anymore, and looked at Charlie with a sad look, but he appeared not to know how to comfort her, so he just walked away and sat next to you, munching on the frozen treat.

You watched Charlie dropped down from the crate and headed towards the entrance door, with her cell phone in hand, and went outside. Maybe she needed some privacy since that looked important you thought. You continued to look around the hotel, taking in everything. Your eyes then gazed at Angel Dust, looking up and down at him. He was very stylish given his outfit, and he was handsome even though he looked like a ball of fluff. He had a lot of it apparently, given how puffy his chest area was. "Take a picture. It will last longer." Angel's eyes looked down at you, smirking that you were oogling him. Embarrassed, you looked away, muttering a sorry. Angel's smirk got wider at your reaction and place his hands under your chin, making you turn back around. "Well, this body is flawless, so I don't blame you for looking, but its gonna cost you toots." He was so close, you could see the golden tooth flashing in his mouth.

"I was admiring your outfit. It's nice. Are you a model perhaps?" Smiling sweetly, with cheeks flushed, you pointed at Angels blazer. His eyes widen at that, before he broke into a fit of laughter. "HAHAHA! Nope, sorry babe! I'm a pornstar. A famous one at that." Oooo that made much more sense why he was so flirty. Your cheeks flushed more at that, and you twirled your hair with your finger. "Well that's kinda nice too." Angel just shrugged his shoulders, leaning his head back on the couch cushion. "Eh its alright. Pays good and I get to suck all the di✪✪ I want, so yeah, job has its perks." Oh, he was into guys. You suspected many women would fawn over him, if he were into them. The conversation didn’t continue after that and you just resumed sitting on the couch, as you noticed Charlie had came back in, with a red suited man, holding a microphone.

The man was at staggering height, almost 7 ft. His striped red suit fitted him perfectly, along with his monocle and bow tie. His hair was a sharp red, with black at the bottom, and antlers at the top. His smile was the most striking thing on him, it was outstretched to the point it almost reached his eyes, dang that must hurt his cheeks. His actions were very animated, with the way he moved and his voice oozed static like a radio. He was conversing with Charlie, saying some things about wanting to help out with the hotel, for entertainment purposes. Vaggie had taken a sit on the couch, where you and Angel sat.

“Uh, so… uh, what's the deal with Smiles over there?" Angel was the one who decided to break the silence. Vaggie nearly jumped at what Angel said: "I know Y/N just arrived here so she has no clue, but who never heard of him before? You lived here longer then me?" Angel just shrugged, not interested in what Vaggie had to say. She then went on to tell the story about how the mysterious suited demon was Alastor the Radio Demon, the most powerful overlord hell has ever seen. The story she told you gave you goosebumps, leaving a mental note in your head, not to mess with Alastor or get on his bad side.

"Ya done? Heh..he looks like a strawberry pimp." Pftt, that caused you to laugh a bit, while Vaggie was given a face saying she was so done. Looking back at Angel, you continued to eye his outfit and give a quip back. "At least I'm not the one who looks like a bubble-gum slut." Angel’s mouth gaped open, shocked by what you said, as he let out a "HEY!" Vaggie cackled at that, giving you a high-five, while Angel Dust just grumbled, and flipped you off with his four hands. You apologized to him, saying you couldn't help yourself. Angel dust was still annoyed, but he just said whatever, pulling his phone out to start texting.

You still observed the conversation going on with Charlie and Alastor, with Charlie refusing to make a deal with him, but saying he could stay at the hotel for as long as he desired. Apparently, that was okay with him as he said "Fair enough." He walked past both Angel Dust and Vaggie, humming to himself. Getting distracted, you didn't realized he had stopped in front of you. "Well hello my dear! Quite a striking appearance you have!" He was bent down, his face very close to yours, sharp grin in front of you. You felt nervous and began to fiddle with your hands. "Y-eah. I had just arrived in Hell, so I'm still trying to figure that out. I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you." Extending your hand out for a shake, Al gave a polite smile back, and shook your hand: "Pleasure to be meeting you darling!" He ended the handshake, smiling wide at you, before walking back over to Charlie.

Many things happened after that. The arrival of Husk and Niffty, the whole singing performance with Alastor, and then the whole blimp attack by some snake man. Jesus, it had certainly been a day. After Alastor destroyed the blimp with his powers, he invited everyone back inside for some Jambalaya. Thinking to yourself while walking back inside, you were still wondering how you ended up in Hell, but you shook your head, trying to remove those thoughts. Well, you were here now, alive, and at least you had a safe place to stay at, with some wacky residents. Was better then nothing, especially since they were starting to grow on you, especially a certain spider demon.

Ok I have a genuine question:

Is Vark canon? Was he ever canon or was that just a Voxtagram thing? I’m in the dark. Cuz we saw Vark (Vox’s pet shark) in some posts, but those are uncanon and old.

So was Vark just made by fans or will he appear in the show? Has he already? We saw that Vox still loves sharks because he has them floating around in various parts of the V tower, but are one of those Vark? if so, that’s kinda messed up. Using your pet as decor.

The Vees live at the tower so I assume if he was only a home pet we would’ve seen him already. Or next season?

I legit don’t know and I’m curious to know if I’m literally the only one who has thought this.

If Val still abuses Vox like stated in the old lore, would he and Angel be able to relate? 

Tw: discussions of abuse

If you weren’t back in the early days of the fandom, back then we barely knew anything about Vox. All we knew was a few limited and obvious things like he was an entertainment overlord and one of the three Vees. 

However, one of the things we later learned about him in a livestream is that him and Val are in some sort of relationship and that Val is obviously abusive towards him. 

This was a part of the old lore and while I’m sure Val can get violent from time to time, it seems from episode two that this new idea of Vox has a lot of control over Val’s anger and wouldn’t really allow him to crack or break his screen.

But back then we didn’t know this. Remember when we thought Val would be the leader of the Vees? 

Considering that we also still thought the Voxtagram stories a were canon and Val is shown to break Vox’s screen often, we had a very different interpretation of him.

And with the popularity of amazing fan song ‘eyes on me’ from paranoid dj that also shows their relationship as abusive at the end of the video, this was all we thought their relationship would be like. (Ok but honestly eyes on me is amazing I listen to it like every week) 

Now, how did this relate to angeldust? 

We knew a lot more about Angeldust because he is part of the main cast, and when addict released the show was making it very obvious that Val was his boss, abuser, and that hurts and affects him daily.

When the show released we get a sneak peak of how manipulative Val is in episode 2 when he convinces Angel to come to the studio, but it is the worst in the infamous episode.

This episode’s entire theme is about Val and just how horrible he treats Angel and has no regards for his feelings, body, or well being.

I could go into more detail on just how bad Val is to Angel, but that’s a sensitive topic that’s been discussed to death already.

But as we see at the end of ‘poison,’ Vox gives Angel a look that I can only describe as smug jealousy. 

Which Vox, I love you, but that is disgusting.

In this frame it’s shown to us that Vox is jealous of Angel because Val focuses a lot of his time on Angel and not him, but… Angel is literally getting raped without his consent? 

Vox may be Val’s on and off boyfriend, but he’s very aware of what Val does to his employees, especially Angel. It’s part of why he works with him.

But comparing someone who youre partly letting get abused in your workplace by you’re friend and work partner to jealously because they are getting abused and beat by that person daily to be jealous of because Angel spends more time with Val than he gets to? 

I’m sorry Vox, but that sickens me to an extreme level.

Of course I could just be reading to far into that one frame, but in the context of the show Vox is an egotistical overlord who is already shown to not care for his own employees. So why would he care about what Val does to his?… except when they are the source of his anger and time.

Now, theoretically, let’s say that in the new lore Val is still abusive to Vox at times. Ignoring how close they were in the finale song in episode 8. 

Val is poison to everyone around him, even the people he’s the closest to.

Would Vox and Angel be able to bond over this? I say no.

Angel is a sinner, which is on the lower part of the class system in hell. It’s normalized that someone like him can be treated however it applies to a contract they signed.

There’s no sympathy for him by others except when they care for him and what it makes Angel do to himself (Husk) or when they know just what goes down in that studio (Charlie) 

But I highly doubt Angel and Vox are any sense of close.

Vox mainly works on his floor, and Angel works in the studio. They obviously have met and vox still has that.. *ew* resentment to Angel, but that’s really it.

Now, vox on the other hand, is a powerful level who is on the same level, if not more powerful that Valentino because he’s the leader of the Vees. 

Even if Val abuses him sometimes, he’s probably… into that. 

Look at that waist and tell me that man isn’t a bottom, you get the point.

Val and Vox’s story hasn’t been told to us yet, but by using background information like a old picture of them from presumably the 70’s and how close they seem, I theorize they met a little after Val died and teamed up to become more powerful. They were a little attracted to one another, but it never did and still isn’t official, even if they look and act gay as hell. (Heh) 

So Vox is on the same level as Val and has been close to him for 50+ years. They’ve had plenty of good moments, even if they are both awful people.

Oh yeah, let’s talk about that.

Since Vox is also on the same level as Val, he still is a awful person as well see in episode 2,4, and 8. (His appearances) 

Even if he Dosent sexually assault his employees, he still treats them horribly, as does Velvette. I assume this is common practice for overlords to treat their souls poorly, but it’s still not a good practice. I feel bad for the fish guy who had to make angelic security on the spot, he looks as stressed as me.

He hypnotizes people into trusting him and buying his technology, which is just evil businessman behavior. Someone said he reminds them of lord business from the LEGO movie, and I see it.

He is also very petty towards Alastor in almost every way, immediately trying to brainwash his audience to not listen to him.

I’m not saying being petty is a sign of being a awful person, but for Vox it contributes.

There’s the… look in episode 4, which I’ve already discussed, but it’s important to note that Vox is in Val’s studio DURING Val shooting and mistreating his stars.

If he regularly does this is then he is more than aware of what Val does to his employees and only gives them disgusted stares back. Like all he sees in them is what Val sees, useless whores for content.

Which is obviously not good lmao

And then in episode 8 (and partly episode 6 if you look into it) 

Vox is shown to have spying technology all over the city which is how he regulates his users behavior. He uses this tech to spy on alastor and the others and make fun of them like he’s watching football. 

At the end of the episode, we see him happily dancing with Valentino and Tounge kissing him, showing us even more that they’re in love in their own sick twisted evil way.

Angel on the other hand, is shown to be better. 

He’s in a hotel for redemption and throughout the season we see him slowly kicking his old habits like self destruction, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, distancing himself, etc. 

(With the help of Husky ofc huskerdust for life) 

And by the end of the season we see Angel being a lot more genuine to the others in the hotel and I only imagine he gets better once they find out it’s possible to be redeemed.

Vox is not shown to want to be morally better in the slightest, if not worse. 

He wants to one up Alastor, he wants to take over hell with the other Vees, and he will do it however he wants because he’s a cartoon supervillain. 

I’m not going to touch on what I Think of Val and Vox as a ship in this but what I will say is that Vox is a cartoon supervillain, doing things that even though horrible in the universe are just seen as goofy to us viewers.

Val on the other hand is scarily realistic, a abuser who manipulates his victims and forces them to have sex for his own benefits. I think that’s the main thing that sets me off for them, even if they are evilly perfect for each other. (So I’m gonna steal vox from Val) 

Vox is in a much different position with Val than Angel is, equal to if not above him while Angel is very below him. We see Angel stand up to him in episode 6, but I just know he was beaten the hell out of the next day and broken even further.

Vox would belittle him, so the only way I see the two even talking genuinely is if Angel starts it.

This isn’t like Angel and Husk, where they’re both washed up losers who are going through situations similar enough to bond, there’s an extreme power imbalance that wouldn’t make it as meaningful as Angel and husk’s talk.

There’s an amazing comic, I’ll add it below, but it’s actually what got me thinking about this topic.

If Vox comes out with his screen cracked after Angel was also hurt just to yell at the other becuase he’s ruining their image, then I see this potentially working.

They could share a sweet line like Angel showing concern for Vox’s cracked screen considering that’s his face and it must feel like having you’re skull cracked open. Angel has probably been driven to that level before.

However I have this one image in my head.

If Vox and Angel are both slightly talking and then they both say, “Val can be… rough.” 

I think that perfectly shows how different the two’s situations are with him.

Vox would say it all horny with a tint of love to his voice, while Angel would say it actually despaired and quiet. They see Val’s actions differently because they are affected differently by it.

Vox isn’t scared of Val because he is on the same level as him, and I think that’s the main reason to why they wouldn’t kconnect.

Besides, both Vox and Angel are either too egotistical or have too many walls up to have a legit conversation about Val without knowing each other at all.

If anything Vox is only a contribute to why Val focuses on Angel so much, their relationship is toxic af and we see in ep 2 that Val likes to get a reaction out of Vox. It’s sick and twisted but I wouldn’t put it against him to do something like that.

So, in conclusion I don’t think Angel and Vox would be able to relate to each other because their situations and relationships with Val are so different, even if Val lets it out on Vox time to time his main target is Angel. Angel gets hurt almost every day and I’d say Vox only gets hurt every couple months on a really bad day.

We know a lot of the lore has changed since the pilot and the Voxtahram stories most of these claims come from arent even canon, so I probably just ranted about nothing.

Long af rant about Velvette's old design and character as I share my art of her :D

Pilot Velvette/ Og Velvette gives extreme babydoll harley quinn vibes, which is a stark contrast from how she ended up being in the show. I like to imagine that something extreme happened to her, like a horrible breakup or betrayal, and she went all crazy. This is the version of her we see in the pilot. The Voxtagram stories seemed to lean into this, depicting her as more immature, bratty, and murderous. She also depended more on Vox and Val like she saw them more as father figures than co-workers. (Just a thought.) However, as she adapted more to the landscape of hell she became the Velvette in the show; A fashion icon girlboss who is much more independent and while not serious, much more mature than her pilot counterpart, and even the other Vees. They ditched her psycho vibe to replace it with something that made more sense to her character.

Something that I personally wonder is: Why was Velvette like this in the beginning if she was meant to focus on fashion? A puffy Lolita dress goes against the Vees whole idea of being up to date, so what was the original vision for her? People have complained about Velvette already having too much going on for her, being both the overlord of fashion, master of social media, backbone of the vees, selling a love potion, etc. If those ideas were already there, did they just think a crazy serial killer girl would be even more extra clutter to her personality? 

A concept many fans I've talked with is if the Vees personalities in the pilot stayed. Val would be pretty much the same, but the other two were almost different characters. In the Voxtagram stories, Vox let Val beat him around, had a goofy pet, and seemed to care less about his public image to remain more villainous. Velvette I already discussed was extremely different, the only thing connecting her to our Velvette is her connection with the Vees and fashion.  In this universe, would Velvette see Vox and Val as toxic dads who kept breaking up and getting back together again, instead of seeing them as equals and KEEPING THEM TOGETHER? it's a wild shift. 

Essentially, Pilot Velvette acted more like a bratty little girl, while her show version acts more like a annoyed but controlling teen. We see her pilot look as her profile picture, so this 'phase' of hers is still canon. I know she already died as an adult, which is why I'm so curious as to why she originally acted this way. Did Viv think she would be a better contrast to Vox and Val like this? To be fair, a spoiled brat AND annoyed girlboss are both contrasts of their personalities, just two different approaches. Was their originally going to be a backstory for her as to why she was this way? or was she just crazy to BE manipulative? or you know, just liked murder while looking cute like Niffty. speaking of Niffty…

I think Niffty is the most likely reason why they changed Velvette's design and personality. we already have a little crazy girl who admires 2 men she sees as older figures and enjoys murder for mysterious reasons. It mightv'e seemed a little counter-intuitive if there was 2 versions of the same character stereotype. Another reason they could've changed her is that she stands out more. If we're supposed to take Velvette as an overlord seriously, how are we supposed to do that when she leans back on the other two guys and looks like she's from a horror movie? Sure, I'm positive pilot Velvette could've been intimidating at times when she got legitimately frightening. however, this didn't seem like her vibe 95% of the time. It might've made her blend more into the background of the Vees than she practically already does. (Which is just a problem for female Vivzie characters but that's a whole separate rant.)

A headcanon of mine is that this was just her psycho little girl brat phase, and she is hella embarrassed over it. like a teen being embarrassed over their phases of when they were a kid. and Vox and Val would constantly piss her off by reminding her of it. That could lead to some fun banter in the future I would love to see as a reference to the pilot. 

Anyways, sorry for the literal Essay I wrote here again, just a ton of over-analyzing which I'm best at. Personally, I do vibe with Velvette's new design and character for the show, I just cant help but think of why she used to be so different and arguably had the BIGGEST character shift from pilot to show In Hazbin Hotel.

The cards are absolutely phenomenal! Each one has such personality, and makes me feel incredibly well connected with a world, story, and even characters despite the show not even being out yet <3
