The clarification came just as curtly as his greeting.

“Yes.”

He led the way back to the interior’s entrance, standing by for Engel to enter first before making any move to follow suit.

Inside, Rouge had been keeping an eye on the stairs leading up to the deck (though her attention remained primarily on the window out front. One could never know when more legs might follow). As such, she was quick to speak up when footsteps came climbing down.

“Is everything alright?”

There was no turning back now. Engel had given trust to the red-haired stranger and entered into his domain. Call him naive to be so trusting, but truly the avian did not feel any need to fear…yet.

As he descended the stairway, the being flicked his feather tufts in the direction of the new voice. Entering into the room, Engel made way at the bottom for the man to descend. Waiting, he turned his attention to the dark beauty in the room.

“Hello. My apologies for crashing into your ship, ma’am. I suppose I caused you and your crew a bit of a disturbance. Engel Neuman.”

Taking a few steps towards the woman, he held out a gloved hand to shake in greeting.

When Engel wanted to have a “close up and personal interaction” with the residents of the sky today, he certainly had not meant it to result in a full on collision with an airship. In fact, the poor feathered being had not even realized the presence of the large vessel while swooping among the clouds. He had been dipping in and out of the floating clusters of condensed vapor and following a flock of birds. Once he was among them the lead fowl gave a squawk of alarm before all the birds darted away in formations. Engel hadn’t even the time to wonder if it was because of him they scattered or something else, for he ungracefully made greeting with the airships window as Engel exited out of the cloud cover.

Tumbling head over tail on the top of the ship, Engel became disoriented as to where was up versus down. A series of distressed chirps squeaked from him, almost masking the hardy RIIIIPP noise on his back. Gravity and friction at last brought the flustered being to a halt, every ebony feather puffed across his body. Engel folded his wings to keep from being swept airborne, fingers digging into the floor of the ship as a startled cat with sheathed claws might.

Engel huffed and puffed with agitation, visibly shaken. What a horrible accident! Where did the airship even come from? As trace feathers scattered in the wind from him, Engel’s gaze fell upon an approaching man with striking red hair. Oh dear, he hoped this encounter was not hostile for his mistake.

“Aah…h-hi? Hello? I’m terribly s-sorry for that…”

No doubt the leg Rouge saw was connected to the bird-like being currently clinging to the ship.

Taylor briefly observed the stranger, giving no real indication as to his intention. The passive tilt of his mouth helped matters little more. Though, upon taking in the sight of the other’s clothing…

He frowned.

“Your shirt. It’s damaged,” the redhead stated bluntly. It wasn’t exactly…hostile, at least. And, steady in his movements, he offered out his hand, ready to help the other up.

“Come inside. I’ll fix it.”

Blast from the past, Annet will be rejoining my cast of oc’s that are available for interaction. She was created back in 2013-14. Remember when feathers in girls hair was popular and everyone was raving over “The Hunger Games”? Yeah she inspired by those. Annet will be getting a clean up since I literally have not drawn her in over 4 years. For now, have this. She was from an apocalyptic story I had in mind at the time.
