Athrixiderm, More Commonly Called A Fresh Skinfish, Are A Strange Group Of Skinfish, Being The Only Extant

athrixiderm, more commonly called a fresh skinfish, are a strange group of skinfish, being the only extant genus of freshwater skinfish, being entirely isolated to the shadow forest, they resemble telluric fish in appearance, but still have a lot of traits unified among ostomesa which telluric fish lack, like retractable lips and cheeks, green blood, three eyes, and most importantly entirely different biochemistry, they swim around the shadow forest swamplands during the wet season and during the dry season swim around within the lakes and large river which runs through the entirety of the shadow forest year round, its believed that this river is how athrixiderms managed to get to the shadow forest, since in the past this river reached all the way to the bay, which is also how the extinct freshwater skinfish presumably reached maschora though due to the prominence of archeinaderms in the freshwater ecosystem, and were thoroughly out competed and drove to almost complete extinction after a mass extinction, leaving the only freshwater skinfish to be athrixiderm, using the shadow forest as a refugium similar to the other "fish" within, if you have any questions about this seelenlos please dont be afraid to ask i am more than willing to answer

arthrocephale, more commonly called jawed finbug, are odd ostoexoapo which use the protrusions of their head to tear bits of spore berries off of their "stem" and hold it in front of their proboscis while they digest them, this is very convergent with early ostomesa, which evolved soft jaws with no teeth to keep their prey close to their proboscis, arthrocephale swim around the lakes rivers and swamps of the shadow forest eating any spore berries they find, if theyre attacked they will try to attack their predator through pinching "bites", and if that doesnt work they will swim as fast as they can away from the predator, if they encounter another mature arthrocephale they will attempt to begin the mating ritual by tapping their fins together, if reciprocated they will then engage in a more aggressive ritual by biting each other until one backs down and becomes the graiparent, this is due to the fact that once the oviparent mates they will follow the graiparent till they lay their eggs, which they do by putting a large long sac on the lower side of the graiparent, between their fins, and then the oviparent will swim off to continue their life, this means that its up to the graiparent to protect and raise their young, often releasing the egg sac near a spore berry when they begin to hatch, if you have any questions about this organism please dont be afraid to ask i am more than willing to answer
