The Necromancer is in distress. She cut holes in her brain in order to try and keep the love of her life’s soul from being consumed. She needs to get her Gideon back to get proper enrichment (IE: arguing with Gideon) immediately. Enrichment from arguing with Ianthe is insufficient.

There's a lot of touch-starved Stampede Vash going around which I am super here for but may I offer you: touch-starved Stampede Wolfwood?

Yeah he's casual and handsy and yes he's had flings but really caring gentle touch is so rare in Wolfwood's life. Touch that doesn't hurt or have conditions attached. We know my guy has enough self-loathing to fill the ocean, so I can only imagine him coming apart when Vash inflicts his gentle patience on him.
