there was this headline a few months back about how an 8-year-old boy came out as gay and killed himself within the next few weeks due to the harassment and bullying that he revieved, and most of the comments about it were “he’s too young to know”. it’s not your fucking business if he’s “too young”; there is no such thing as “too young”. labels aren’t forever - a label helps you identify yourself for the time being. there are bisexuals that realize that they’re lesbians, gay people that realize they’re bi, or gay people that continue to identify as gay throughout their entire lifetime, because a label is just that. a label. it doesn’t require commitment. it doesn’t require continuity. we’re constantly changing as human beings and that is natural. stop coming for the throats of LGBT youth just because you don’t understand the simple idea of labels. and stop saying that we’re confused. you do not know a person more than they know themself.
