Here Is An Unbuilt Cottage.
Here is an unbuilt cottage.
Your materials are close at hand, there beneath the whispering pines.
Memory, soft as clay.
Unwritten moments.
All your lovely attributes, just as they are, here at the turning of the year.
Can you feel it?
The shift?
Only an idea,
yet already a home.
Happy New Year. 💚
Most progress I have achieved in life started with meeting myself exactly where I was, with accepting my limits and looking on my past choices with kindness.
It is difficult to build when we spend energy mourning our materials.
First, love this version of you.

Thinking about the time someone I used to know who didn't believe asexuality was real because "all humans experience lust" tried to "explain" that the reason I "thought" I was asexual was, and I shit you not, that I have a lot of pasta in my diet and "pasta is an anaphrodisiac" so that was the real reason I don't experience sexual feelings

The Runaway is a z-pinch fusion torchship with a habitat module that experiences approximately 1g during engine burns, and microgravity when the ship is docked or maneuvering. The living space adapts between these two conditions, though cooking is definitely more challenging without “gravity”… The crew run The Runaway as a rapid transit vessel, taking passengers and goods in between wormhole gates throughout local space. Talita is the lead engineer, Idrisah and Gillie handle port paperwork and translation for avian and bug ferret languages, and Sirawit handles food and supplies acquisition. Bip, the ship A.I., handles the very important task of being a pest (and driving the ship around without killing everyone inside). PATREON | STORE | Runaway to the Stars

today on "how can I combine my interests": variations of volcarona based on stellar classification!
actual stars are classified based on their spectral characteristics and temperature/color from hottest (bluest) to coldest (reddest) with a strangely ordered letter system: O, B, A, F, G, K, M... why not do the same for this stellar moth?
some other info:
o-type volcarona are incredibly rare and are considered "shiny" pokemon
m-type volcarona can come in the largest variety of sizes from large enough to easily carry a person to about the size of a cat
k-type volcarona are the most common, with the higher temperature ones becoming increasingly more rare (and m is about as rare as g)
while there could be b- and a-type volcarona between o and f, the latter two are so rare that there's no reason to split the categories up further
alder's volcarona is the g-type one shown here, and the m-type one belongs to cyrus in my au
the pupa/cocoon stage is too short relative to the other two stanges to be considered its own separate evolutionary stage like other similar bug type pokemon
HI SO I asked you guys if you’d be interested in hearing about my world and I got a few (very enthusiastic) affirmative answers so!! first of all thank you for the interest, it genuinely means the world to me to hear people be interested in stuff I make. :)
to start with, here’s some background and a little overview of the project!
so a few years ago now, I came up with a fun little idea for a character: a young witch’s apprentice, going on a journey to grow her power and become a witch herself. I decided to create a story for her, and over time it’s grown and changed into something much more involved (and more fun too, I think). I’m calling it Candlewick.
the narrative itself is slow going. I don’t have much to show for it yet, because it hasn’t been my focus for a while. I’ve been more focused on building the setting in which the narrative is set— Nasir. I decided that I wanted to build it myself from the ground up, and while it’s far from complete, I’ve done a lot of work on it, and that’s what I’m eager to share with you!
Nasir is the main backdrop of the story; a continent (one of three on the planet) with biomes ranging from suboceanic coral cities to cold mountainside villages that touch the clouds. and from humans and dryads to rabbitfolk and moon faeries, every living being is connected to each other and the world by magical ties to the Spirits known as Threads.
I want to tell a feel-good story, and a large portion of that, I hope, will shine through in the worldbuilding itself. the goal I’ve had in mind thus far is to create not only something that feels fresh and new, but also to create… well, a kind world. a gentle world. I want to invoke a feeling of magic, of childlike wonder, of safety. I want delving into this world to feel like I, the creator, am giving you, the reader, a big ol bear hug and saying “I know it’s hard. please, rest here a while.” from the physical world to the societies and characters, I hope to make folks feel good.
so yeah! that’s what you guys are getting into! it’s been a fun journey and I’m happy to have more people wanting to come along for the ride. I’m always open to suggestions once I start posting actual content, too; much of what I have down is due in no small part to ideas and inspiration from friends!
okay I’m done, lol. thanks for reading and have a good day/afternoon/night! :3
i know that in pokemon id have my bisharp be my partner pokemon because its the combination of my two favorite types but i think everyone would fucking hate me for it. i go to meet my friends for a pint and theyre like "oh hey cyrus havent seen ya in ages how are y- oh. you brought ornstein with you." and i just have this weird fucked up human shaped fusion of bladed weaponry and 80s straight to video cartoon movie bad guy standing behind me and if i dont keep it distracted by letting it play clash of clans on my phone it will start hunting the bar goers for sport
