I'm glad you've opened up a bit more to johnny as a character and I thought since we've talked before over repost and such I wanted to give a bit of my opinion to help so I haven't seen the entire livestream but I do know they mentioned that he left the family before the events of the first movie and there is some evidence that's points to him possibly have killed Nancy and then leaving the family but in my opinion I think johnny did indeed leave the family after killing Nancy but I dont think he just stopped killing people as a whole I think he did something along the lines of what sissy did where they detached themselves from the family but I think they still did kill a bunch of people and have just been fleeting and hiding there crimes now I would like to imagine that at some point johnny met someone who he would like to settle down with(totally not self insert since I'm a johnny simp😏) but I think even then johnny would still every now and then you know kill a couple of people but that's just my opinion I hope it helps expand your views on johnny I guess but yeah

OK, so I just kind of need to rant about some thing and get it off my chest, but my perception of Johnny has a character has absolutely changed since the beginning of the game. Like at first I thought he was a totally you know cold blooded killer and I just thought narcissist and you know it’s pretty basic that’s it, but as I’m starting to expand more of my knowledge about him and getting deeper and deeper into the fandom, I’m starting to realize way more complicated and you know I thought it would’ve been way out of character for him to leave the family, but it was dropped in a live stream that he would leave the family at some point and I mean I just I really used to be one of those people that are saying oh people all these soft things about Johnny are so out of character but now I’m starting to kind of change my mind and be like wait a minute that is totally possible I mean, he could’ve been a totally normal guy if Nancy hadn’t fucked him up. I mean, even if he is a serial killer, I guess it’s really a case of never judging a book by its cover.

I’m leaving on that thought what does Johnny become after? He leaves the family like it’s so hard for me to imagine like did he just get like a normal house or something and then start at like family like what’s going on with that? This cannot picture him I don’t know how to picture him on his own. Maybe I need to write a fanfiction or something to help me process it but like this is crazy.

You couldn't have worded it better that's exactly how I think about it too which is why I get so defensive when I see people ship FAMILY X FAMILY yeah johnny isn't blood related but they are still family in relation and yes hands and johnny may be distant but they are still FAMILY I personally dont think it should be a matter of if there close or not it should be that they are family and its weird to ship them that goes for all the sawyers also yes the law may not see it as incest since yeah Johnny's adopted but what bothers me is that they dont have to be blood related to be considered FAMILY that's what bugs me so much about this ship and any of the ships so yeah legally it's not "that bad" but still weird af which is probably why I'm not understanding this ship (and I hope this doesn't come off in an attacking way I'm just saying shipping family with each other no matter if its blood or not is weird and I do not want that shit in this fandom I find comfort in talking about my hyperfixation I do not want to hear about incestuous shit here
