cokeman and the person whose i kept misreading as "boobiepant" instead of "boopiepant", may this post be a tribute to you and your unhinged usernames that made me laugh uncontrollably the entire race. godspeed.

a while ago i found this out of context discord screenshot so i made a silly dumb comic about it featuring these two dorks :P

(i unfortunately don't have the screenshot on me i think i forgot to save it, but it's super funny and i think it was on the out of context discord blog)

i was having a peek at the JJ discord's messages, and one of the users posted about this website that has music from the PSP version of Jetpack Joyride that includes this seemingly unused track, simply titled 'Music_Casino'. it's apparently meant for the slot machine, and it sounds a lot like one of the many early drafts for the JJ main theme. it's a really cool find that i want to share here!

Luke Muscat posted a video about the development of Jetpack Joyride earlier and it has some very neat pieces of Barry Steakfries concept art in it!

and GODD do i LOVE the way he's drawn here. he's so beefy and stoic, look at the way he handles that machine gun!!

i like how in this one Lancashire just decided to make Barry a manlet because it'd be more dynamic. he's so. tiny. this is how 6 foot and 5'11 people look when they're close to each other. also very cool sketches of some of the zombies! i love the little mummy sitting to the left :)

some very cool art of Barry fending off some zombies. i love how big and threatening the Zombie T-Rex looks! this stuff is super cool and looks so apocalyptic in an awesome way!

this one is covered by a title card, but it has some more cool art of Barry handling a machine gun. i really love the rougher style in these images, they make Barry look so badass and strong! look at those muscles!!

this is some early spritework for Jetpack Joyride that's referenced off of his earlier iterations in AOZ and MD. i really like the more AOZ-like proportions and expressions he has in these, as well as that shocked expression he has that is partly obscured by the lettering. he's so cool looking :)

i especially like this one, which looks like an unused portrait for AOZ? never seen it ingame before. god he's so cool,,

here's the diagram of Barry that's up in the lab, based on that Vitruvian man drawing that everything keeps referencing. and here i was thinking that they just had this uncensored Steakpenis up on their wall the entire time and i just never saw it.....

there's a lot of other super neat stuff in that video so i might post those as well :) really cool prototypes and such!
