just finished watching Garfield's Fun Fest and i am so... confused???? what do you mean the hot cat guy was actually a terminator who was actually Nermal????? guess that explains why he wasn't there for a majority of the movie. that... also raises a lot of really weird implications considering the way he and Arlene were dancing. also Arlene herself is really confusing, you know how cats don't usually wear clothes in Garfield? like they're just walkin around with nothing on like cats usually do? why then, when Arlene is just a cat, does she look completely normal, but then when she wears the red dress, she suddenly has more human proportions including a more pronounced chest???? huh?????? like i'm not even kidding she becomes more anthro. i'm so. confused. at this movie. huh

something i found to actually be really funny about this movie is that when Ramone was MC'ing the Fun Fest, his microphone is just completely not connected to anything at all. like. there's a cord but it looks snapped or something. it looks like a candle wick. it's not even plugged into anything and yet it still works and it was so funny that they just didn't address it at all. it made me imagine that Ramone is just so full of himself and loves to hear the sound of his own voice that he just radiates enough energy to not need the mic at all, but he still has it because it makes him look important.

on another note, i also really wanna draw au fanart of Ramone as an actual robot getting repairs after the events of the movie and being very disgruntled about not winning. like him as his own character and all and not just being a Nermal suit. that would be pretty epic i think

just heard about Wild Manes a few days ago, might check it out.... it looks really cute and i absolutely love the character designs!! the art style and cute girly aesthetic reminds me so much of MLP G3 and i like that they're short and sweet little stories that don't try to cram as much content into them as they can, especially in the age of kid's content trying to be as wacky as humanly possible to hold kid's attentions for the longest. i especially like Bailey, Cherie, Candi and Pearla's designs, they're really pretty :D

subtitles that aren't exactly what the characters are saying word for word are the fucking bane of my existence. i don't think i have major hearing issues but sometimes i have trouble properly processing what the characters are saying and subtitles can really help, but man, the people making them have REALLY gotta stop slacking on the quality. don't paraphrase what the characters are saying, that takes away their personality and speech patterns and makes dialogue awkward and at times overly formal. don't censor swearing unless it is censored in the audio, coward. if a character is speaking another language, then put what they're saying in the subtitles (an additional translation along with the original audio is also welcome but not required). for the love of god PLEASE make the subtitles accurate. if i have to see another subtitle that's just a summary of what the characters are actually saying i think i'm gonna burst an artery

(and also people who put unnecessary unfunny jokes and comments into youtube subtitles that actively make what the person is saying harder to read and takes away from the experience should be banished from typing anything forever i think) (this does not apply to "Markiplier Contemplates A Banana For 5 Minutes")
