Writing prompt #4
Warning: wound, injuries, blood
Hero was pressing their palm tightly to the wound to stop the blood flow. They leaned on their free hand, every cell of their body exhausted but still fighting to keep them conscious.
Hero inhaled sharply from the pain on their side and rested their shoulder blades against the parapet. Their gaze fixed on the villain, as they were slowly approaching and savoring every step.
Hero had no more strength to fight. Their suit is chaotically torn on every part of their limbs; bruises and scratches are showing through the fabric holes.
Hero wanted to close their eyes too badly, but something in Villain’s silhouette attracted them so much that they couldn’t look away. Perhaps they wanted to remember the face of a person that was going to take their life away.
The villain came close, their hand lit up with plasma energy, illuminating most of the roof. They were ready to strike the last blow, and, realizing this, Hero put their forearm in front of them, instinctively hiding themselves from danger, even though their uncovered skin could hardly protect them from anything.
Villain raised their hand high, but when they saw Hero’s bloodstained arm, they slowly shook their fingers, extinguishing the flow of energy coming from them.
Villain slowly tilted their head to the side. “Huh. Funny. I remember getting this tattoo on my friend.”

So heres a doodle I did a while back of my girl Jasmine. We’ll be seeing more of her & Melina (her s/o) during g/t July :]
Fun Ways to Meet Characters
Thieves stealing important objects from the main characters and then being forced somehow into a found family situation
Saving a character’s life by doing something like taking an arrow/bullet
By losing a bet with a stranger and then teaming up
Gambling with a shifty character and getting really mad at them, only for them to later end up saving the other character’s life
Meeting the other in an arranged marriage and actually liking them (or really, really hating them)
Or having a chaotic dynamic where they irritate each other but they’re equally chaotic, so they become the mischievous duo in the found family
By bickering over the last piece of food at a banquet
Getting hired as a servant or maid, or some other serving position
By accidentally almost killing a character, only for them to join the found family and literally never stop bringing up that first meeting
Character being sent on a mission of some kind alone for the first time, not anything too difficult or complicated and one the others in their group will think won't get them into any trouble - but then they don't come back.
Scenario #1: They realize something's gone wrong, go on a rescue mission to go find them and eventually find out they've been beaten to a pulp and left for dead by someone they shouldn't have even run into. Caretaking ensues.
Scenario #2: It takes a while for them to get back and by the time they do their team is worried sick, and they show up limping, bleeding, and covered in bruises but somehow their priority is still asking whether or not they did it right.
Scenario #3: This character is new/not trusted/used to be an enemy and few people like or have any faith in them. So when they don't show up, the natural response is to think they've run away and betrayed their new found friends. Until weeks, or even months (or even YEARS) later, that same group finds an enemy hideout and raids it, freeing the prisoners being held there. And of course, find their old friend, emaciated and broken in a corner of their cell.
the aesthetic of someone wearing a suit draping their jacket over someone else's shoulders is so underrated i have no idea why people don't use it more
It is absolutely underrated! Whether the other person is cold or sick or just upset, it paints a clear image of the kind of person the suit-wearing one is to console them like that.
(and maybe just maybe they're out in the cold and Suit Person gives up their jacket for warmth, but then THEY get sick because they're all cold and wet without it?? maybe??)
