Dancing In The Dark
Dancing in the Dark
Pairing: Brienne of Tarth x Reader
Word Count: 1419
Warnings: none
Summary: You ask Brienne out for a dance. She doesn't take it very well.
A/n: So now that I've got that draft posted, I can start working on your request @pastanest!!

Yet again you sat on a rock just by the training ground. You were mesmerised by the way Brienne fought the men, by the way she held the sword and made the fighting look like a dance. It was a special dance, one that no one else could dance with such grace, with such beauty. You knew not many thought of Brienne as beautiful, because she didn’t fit the beauty standard of Westeros. She was taller than any woman you had ever laid eyes on, and she didn’t exactly stand for femininity. But that didn’t matter to you. The way you felt about her, it was something you had never felt before with anyone.
As you looked up from the book you were reading to look at her, you found her eyes already on you. She smiled at you, it was a smile most people probably wouldn’t understand as one. But you did, it was reserved just for you. You smiled back at her and suddenly felt enough courage to ask her what you had wanted to ask her for the last week.
You packed your book away and walked over to her.
“Brienne, do you have a moment?“ she looked up at you and put her sword back into her scabbard. You walked a few steps past her and turned around to look at her.
„Come, walk a bit with me.“ she followed you, and quietly you walked to your favourite tree. You had seen it grow since you were little, and slowly it became a big tree, that was a great source of shadow on a hot summer day. You stopped and leaned on the tree.
“How can I help you, my princess?” You smirked at her stubbornness. Whatever you did, she never called you by your name. It annoyed you, yes. But it was cute, so you didn’t mind.
“Your princess,”, you mocked her, “would like to ask you something.” Brienne nodded slightly.
“Have you heard about the dance my father is hosting?”
“Yes, I have heard of it. But I don’t plan to attend it.” You were sad to hear that, but were sure that you could change her mind.
“Why not?”
“I don’t have a partner for it and I know that no one wants me there.” It broke your heart to hear her say something like that.
“Well, I would want you there. Will you go to the dance with me?”
Brienne took a step back and her face suddenly changed from relaxed to pure discomfort. Her posture stiffened, and she looked down at you with shock in her face.
“(Y/n) I really thought you were different. I won’t fall for this, you’re just gonna stand me up.” With that Brienne turned around and left.
“Brienne, wait. I don’t…” she ignored you and honestly you didn't have the energy to follow after her. Your legs were much shorter and it would have taken all your energy.
——————————
It had been three days since you asked Brienne to the dance, the dance which was today. You had decided, much to your sisters despair, that you wouldn’t go. Brienne was the only one you would have gone with. If you went alone, all the princes your dad had invited would try to seduce you, and it would be unbearable. So, you just didn’t go. You stayed in your room the whole day, not wanting to meet your sister. Knowing that she would just try to get you to going to the dance, you could easily do without that conversation.
In the evening after everyone had left for the ball, and you felt that you could wander through the halls without meeting people all the time, you left your room. For about half an hour you just walked around until you sat down in the courtyard. It was a clear night and there were many stars in the sky. They probably formed all sorts of star signs, but that was your brother's speciality not yours. You were better with books and knew a lot about different flowers and their effects.
Suddenly someone sat down next to you, you hadn’t even heard them coming.
“You’re not at the dance, my lady.” You recognised the voice as Brienne’s. She had such a calm and soothing voice, you would recognise it everywhere. Normally it brought you comfort, but now it felt like a stab in the heart.
“No, I’m not.” Your voice was cold. Colder than you had wanted it to be.
“Why not, my lady? I assume there were plenty of suitors for you.” You looked at her and chuckled. But it was not out of amusement but rather out of disbelieve. She really didn’t get it. “Well, the only person I would have gone with said no. So I didn’t feel like going on my own.”
Brienne looked at you for a second, and then she looked into the stars again. Even if you were hurt and even a little pissed at her behaviour you had to admit that she looked beautiful in the moonlight. And the sight of her here, not in armour but simply in her most natural form, reminded you again why you had fallen in love with her.
"I'm sorry, that he did that to you."
"You really don't get it, do you?"
She looked at you, utterly confused.
"I don't think I can follow my lady."
"My god, Brienne. Stop calling me that. I've told you so many times."
You jumped up on your feet and just stared at Brienne for a second, not really knowing what you actually wanted to tell her now. The truth, yes. But she would never believe you.
“Ah, Brienne. I'm sick of this dancing around each other and ignoring each other. I’m very well aware of the fact that you will probably not believe a word of what I’m about to say. But I don’t know how to make you believe. So I’ll just spit it out. I’m in love with you. There, now you know it. This is most definitely not how I wanted to tell you, but I can’t do this anymore. You were the only person I would have attended the ball with and you let me standing under that tree like an idiot because you can’t believe that anyone could ever love you. I understand that you’ve been hurt in your life, many times. But I thought we trusted each other, enough for you to know that I would never joke about you like that. And I could have lived with you not wanting to go with me and ignoring me afterwards, if I knew that you didn’t like me. But you do. I know you do.” Brienne was blushing like an idiot and was quite happy for the darkness around her for covering it up a bit.
“How…”
“Oh come on, I’m not an Idiot. I see the way you look at me, the way you smile when I enter the room and the way your voice softens when you talk to me, the way you visibly relax, when around me.”
Brienne saw a lonely tear fall down your cheek. You had never seen her stand up and rush towards you so fast. She dried the tear and looked at you apologetic.
“I’m sorry I brought you so much hurt and sadness.”
“Oh stop, you have brought me so much more. So much joy, laughter, love and memories. I will always thank you for that. And even if you don’t see it. I see so much beauty in you. To me there is no one like you.”
“But you’re the princess, I’m a female knight, neither am I what people expect a knight to be like nor am I what people expect a lady to be like. No one would accept it.”
“You said it yourself. I’m a princess. I do whatever I want. Now, will you dance with me?”
You laid your arms around her neck and gently put your head on her breast. You melted in to her touch and let her lead you.
She placed a kiss on your hair and whispered something in your ear:
“I love you (Y/n).”
With a smile on your face you danced around the courtyard and didn’t stop until your feet started to hurt because of the heels. But even then you didn’t stop, you just took them off, making you even smaller next to Brienne, and kept on dancing in the dark.

Kathryn Janeway x Chakotays younger sister reader
Maybe Janeway has feelings for r but wont express them verbally because of her age like she feels too old for r. Maybe doesn’t even notice that Chakotay and r are siblings so when she hears r ask Chakotay out pulls back from r until confronted and r says she was practicing asking Janeway out on Chakotay because she was so nervous and wanted it to be perfect.
Chakotay being the biggest wingman alive for his little sister and best friend
Misunderstanding
Pairing: Kathryn Janeway x Reader, Chakotay x younger sister!Reader
Word Count: 1880
Warning: None
A/n: I really loved this idea, and it's my first time writing for Kathryn so I hope you like it and I did the idea justice!! I know it's probably not very realistic that they've been on the ship for four years together and nearly no one had a clue that they are brother and sister, but that was the only plausible way to do this. So 🤫 just ignore that. And ai also know that Chakotay and Reader have a very big age difference but my brother and I have that too so it is possible. <3

Honestly since the first time you had seen her, she had made your heart flutter. But, she was your Captain. That was an undeniable problem. And also you were quite sure that she would never want to go out with you. So it took you four, yes four, years to get your ass up and be bold enough to ask her out.
Even though that was just semi-true. Yes you had decided to ask her out but still, you were nervous. Very nervous. So you were walking a hole into the mess hall at three in the morning. You couldn't sleep and if you had a problem, your brother had one too. So to his delight he sat right in front of you, just half awake. Listening to you rambling about your crush on the Captain.
"You know what? You are going to practice on me and first thing tomorrow, you will ask her out. I'm tired of you always crying about her to me. Honestly this has to stop, (Y/n)." You knew he was right, he was most of the time. He stood up and walked to you. Standing right in front of you, you just had to laugh. This was so ridiculous.
"Ok, sorry. Sorry, don't look at me like that. You can't deny it's ridiculous." He agreed and smirked at you.
"Ok, so. Kathryn, I wanted to ask- Oh, no that's horrible. New try, Captain, would you like to-, Oh god I can't call her Captain. I'm asking her out. Kathryn, .... Would you like to go on a date with me?" Chakotay smiled at you and hugged you.
"You see, that wasn't so hard. No come on, back to bed. You have to work in the morning." You nodded and left.
------------------
She couldn't sleep. Again. And why was that? Because of you. She just couldn't stop thinking about you.
For the past year or so she had started to take a liking to you. Before that she had never been really aware of you. But then she went on an away mission together with you, and unfortunately it went longer than anticipated, because Tuvok couldn't beam you up. So you spent some time together on the planet and talked. She learned that you were really funny and from that day on she couldn't shake her mind off of you. Not even at night.
She would like to go on a date with you very much, but as always she struggled a lot with her position as Captain and the unspoken rule of not dating Crewman as a Captain. But was that rule really necessary 40 thousand light years from home? That's a question that often plagued her mind.
Actually it didn't matter. She just knew that even if she would look over that rule, she wouldn't have a chance with you. She was way too old for you. There was an age difference of about twenty years. No sane 25-year old would agree to a relationship under those circumstances. You were so beautiful, you could easily have every Crewman you wanted. So why her?
These thoughts were keeping her awake nearly every night, because to be quite frank, she was extremely lonely.
She knew sleep wouldn't come soon, so she stood up and made her way to the mess hall to get a coffee and sit down a bit. She didn't think anyone would be there as it was three in the morning and any sane person was asleep or at their station. So when she stepped in and saw your back turned to her, she was a bit startled.
At first, she didn't even see Chakotay, she just heard that you were talking to someone.
"... Would you like to go on a date with me?" Just as she was about to turn around she saw Chakotay approaching you and hug you. Oh god, she shouldn't have come here. This was a stupid idea. She turned on her heel and left.
No, Kathryn. You will not cry. You are a grown woman. You are the Captain for fucks sake.
But just as the door of her quarter closed behind her a few stray tears fell down her cheek.
--------------------------
Easier said than done asking Kathryn out. You haven't seen her once for the whole day. Which was hard considering you worked on OPS. And the same went for the day after that and the day after that and... Yeah, for a long time.
This wasn't like her at all. She always tried to be close to the crew. Cared for everyone equally and always wanted to seem as close and trusting as a normal Crewman. As far as that was possible being the Captain. Not talking to the Crew for several days straight was very unlike her.
The strange thing was just, that the next week you had a different shift and everyone told you that she was back on the bridge. Everything back to normal.
You had to admit that was suspicious. But the thing that really made it clear to you was, that she always turned around immediately, if she saw you anywhere. No matter where. She saw you, she was gone.
And you had no idea why. You hadn't even asked her out yet.
After two weeks of not even seeing her, you had enough. This was straight up ridiculous. Where you in kindergarten? No, you were grown women. It couldn't be so hard to talk about problems.
So after your shift you went to the Captain's quarters and after hearing a soft voice calling you inside after the door chime, you entered. As she saw you Kathryn jumped up and straightened her shirt.
"Lieutenant (Y/l/n), how can I help you." You rolled your eyes at that. You knew that what you were about to do was highly inappropriate, but formalities wouldn't bring you far in this conversation.
"Oh, please drop the formalities. We both know they are out of place." Her eyes widened at your boldness. In all the years on ship, no one had ever talked to her like that. Not even Chakotay. She was so startled, she was speechless for a second.
You stepped forward and leaned on her table. You looked at her a little amused that you actually made Kathryn Janeway speechless.
"Cat got your tongue?" Kathryn seemed to find her speech again at that. She took a chair, put it in front of you and sat down.
"I hope you know, (Y/n), that your behaviour is highly inappropriate." At least she dropped the Lieutenant.
"Yes, I know that. But probably not any less inappropriate as avoiding your Crewman for two weeks straight." You raised an eyebrow at her and waited for her response.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Kathryn gulped, as she knew exactly what you were talking about.
"Come on, Kathryn. Don't play dumb. I haven't seen or talked to you in over two weeks. Whenever we are in the same room, or you even just lay eyes on me, you flee so fast I can't even say Hello. This is not normal behaviour and I would very much like to know what has caused it."
"I assure you, you are imagining things." You sigh at that. She wanted to play? Ok, you could play. You took a chair and sat down properly directly in front of her. Your knees nearly touched hers.
"I will not leave before you haven't told me the truth. And I promise you, I don't have a problem with making us both miss our shift." Kathryn rolled her eyes at your stubbornness. There was no way out of this.
She looked down at the floor.
"It's stupid." It was so quiet you nearly hadn't heard it. This was very untypical for Kathryn.
"Kathryn, I can assure you, if it causes this sort of reaction from you, it's not stupid. Please tell me, I don't want to do this anymore." She shifted uncomfortably on her chair.
"Well, I... I may have had a crush on you since that away mission last year. But I heard you ask out Chakotay a few weeks ago, and I know you would never want to date me. So I thought if I avoided you I'd hurt less, and I could get over you." You were shocked. That were a few too many information at once. Wait, ask our Chakotay. What?
"I didn't ask out Chakotay, what are you talking about?"
"Yes you did. I heard you in the mess hall. You asked him out, and then he hugged you." You nearly burst out laughing at that. But as Kathryn looked at you angrily you fell silent immediately.
"I most definitely didn't ask Chakotay out, he's my brother!"
"He's what?" Kathryn was completely perplex at that. How did she not know that.
"Yes, he's my big brother, and I was simply practising on him. I had woken him up in the middle of the night because I couldn't sleep. I was thinking about you. And he helped me practice, because I wanted to ask you out on a date the next day. And then you avoided me." Your voice got quieter and quieter to the end, but Kathryn had heard you.
"Pardon?" You looked at her. You knew she had heard you, she just couldn't believe it.
"You have me heard right. I meant every word. Why would you think I wouldn't want to date you?" Kathryn looked down again.
"Well first of all, I'm the Captain. I don't know many people who would like to date their Captain. But mainly, because I'm about twenty years older than you?! Why on earth would you want to date me?" Slowly you understood that Kathryn Janeway was actually insecure. That's the last thing you would have imagined.
You slipped off your chair and kneeled down in front of her. She looked at you.
"Hey, please don't say that. Why would I care about your age? You are fierce, strong, intelligent and so, so beautiful-" at that she slightly shook her head in denial and looked away. You grabber her chin between your fingers and forced her to look at you.
"Look at me please. Yes, you are beautiful, you are so pretty I could lose my mind. Your smile radiates warmth and love. You're elegant, you're sexy. Hell, you're sexy."
"You believe that?"
"Of course. Have you seen yourself?" She had to shyly laugh at that. She hadn't heard something like that in a very long time.
You smiled, your eyes frequently falling to her lips. You looked her in the eyes, questioning look on your face. She understood what you asked and slowly nodded. Her chin still between you fingers, you directed her face closer to yours and gently kissed her. You could feel her grin against your mouth.
"So, no missing your shift needed." She turned on Captain mode to scold you, but you quickly washed that away with you comment.
"Well, I don't know how long this will take." You started gently kissing her neck and took her shirt out of her trousers.
"(Y/n)!" She had to laughed at your face.
"What?" You smiled at her innocently before continuing undressing her.
Thank you!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT, its perfect😍

It started small. You memorized her order from the weathervane. It's not that you tried to do it but when you heard it for the first time you giggled. Despite how she would present herself, Larissa Weems had a MAJOR sweet tooth. You were sitting at a table drinking your own coffee and reading your book when she came in and as always all you could focus on was her. Her presence filled every room she entered with warmth and joy. In the few months, you'd been teaching at Nevermore you learned how to hide how you gravitated toward the stunning woman however you still found yourself entranced by her. Without even meaning to you tuned out all the bustle of the shop, your eyes now gazing blankly at the book as she stood just beyond your shoulder to order. “Hello my dear, could I get a vanilla latte, iced, with double vanilla, whipped cream, and double caramel drizzle?” she said softly. You couldn't help letting out a slight giggle at the ridiculously sweet order however you quickly buried yourself back in your book in hopes she hadn't heard. Unfortunately for you, or maybe fortunately considering her attention was now on you, she had heard and she moved to sit across from you at your booth.
Your breath caught in your throat as her long leg brushed against your ankle underneath the table of your booth. “Do you find my order amusing darling?” she said with a raised eyebrow, the corner of her mouth lifting into a playful smirk. “No no! You exclaimed, “ it's just… rather sweet. I thought you would be more of a black coffee person.” you said quickly as you attempted to hide your blush behind your book. “Oh Goddess no!” She stated “I honestly can't stand the taste of coffee, but with this job, I don't think I'd last without a pick me up, both in caffeine and sugar. Though I find one of them much more enjoyable than the other” she laughed. You let out a quick laugh at that, quickly cringing at how obnoxiously loud it was. Very rarely did you actually laugh in public because of how hideous your laugh sounded. Embarrassed, you pulled your book back up over your face, burying yourself in your reading to avoid staring at the beauty that sat in front of you, close enough to touch.
That was when you learned your next fact about Larissa Weems. You found your breath once again stuck in your throat as her warm hand brushed against yours, taking the book out of your hand. “So you're the reason my favorite book has been missing from the library?” she says as she flipped the cover open, checking for the nevermore library stamp while carefully holding your place in the book. You blushed at that, your eyes watching her hands on the book, perfectly manicured gently flipping through the pages, occasionally stopping and running her finger over certain lines. “I apologize, headmistress, Pride and Prejudice is a favorite of mine as well, however, my copy was misplaced when I moved here,” you said, shifting your eyes from those red nails to her equally red lips. As her lips pulled up into a gentle smile you blushed and shifted to look down at your coffee. “Don't worry my dear, it is a library book so I, unfortunately, can't lay a permanent claim to it. Heaven knows the librarian is sick of me checking it out at this point but I just never have time to stop and get my own copy” she said with a sigh.
At that moment the barista called her name. “Here you go my dear, take care of it for me,” she said with a wink as she handed the book back to you, still careful to hold your place, before standing. Your ankle felt suddenly cold without her leg pressed against it. You couldn't help but watch her as she smoothed down her dress before going up to grab her drink. You watched as she took her first sip of the drink, a shiver running over your spine as she licked a bit of whipped cream off of her lip. As she walked out your gaze followed, trailing over her long elegant legs to her skirt, hugging her curves beautifully, all the way up to her blond silver hair, perfectly curled and styled as always. Right as she reached the door she stopped, turning slightly and meeting your eyes with a smile as she let out a small wave before walking out.
From that day on every time you knew Larissa had an early morning meeting you stopped at the weathervane and you would order two drinks. One vanilla cold brew with no creamer and one iced vanilla latte, double vanilla with whipped cream, and double caramel. You would leave it on her desk for her to find when she got in before heading off to prep for your classes. After about a month of this one of the baristas passed you a baked good with your two drinks. “I'm sorry I didn't order this?” you said with confusion. “I assumed you were ordering for Principle Weems,” the young girl said with a smile, “ cherry turnovers are her favorite,” she said as she winked and pushed the baked good towards you. You blushed at that and murmured your thanks before taking your order and walking out, jotting the information down for future use.
A week later you were walking through downtown Jericho when you spotted a copy of pride and prejudice in the window of a bookstore. The cover was a soft cream with blue text and gold-gilded pages. Almost without thinking you found yourself walking into the bookshop and grabbing it. It was so perfect Larissa, almost. On your way to the register, you saw the last thing you needed to make it perfect, an ornate crimson and gold bookmark. You smiled with glee as you grabbed one. All of Larissas colors together in the gift made you giddy as you thought of her reaction. However, as you walked back towards nevermore with your gift in hand you started to second guess if it was too much. When you got home you placed the book into your bedside drawer debating whether it was inappropriate to give the gift to your boss. It wasn't until a week later when you could tell she was extremely stressed about an upcoming meeting that you decided. After all, everyone deserves a pick-me-up once in a while.
The morning of the meeting you found yourself in her office once more, coffee in hand with the book and pastry in your bag. As you set the gifts on your desk you couldn't help but pause to take in the room. Her office was almost perfect, bookshelves dusted, papers stacked neatly, however, the ever-present flowers she normally had were wilted and sad. You approached the small side table as you took in their appearance, so out of place in the orderly office. As you leaned down to smell them a smile made its way onto your face. The red and white lilies held a hint of Larrissas normal scent, clearly a present note in her perfume. She was no doubt too busy to replace the flowers which is how it became a regular task of yours. Once a week when you picked up your drinks you would stop by the florist on the corner and get a bouquet of red and white calla lilies to replace the ones in her office.
You found yourself in a habit now. Regularly picking up the early morning coffees and pastries. The florists came to expect you on Mondays and had the flowers ready. On days when you knew she was particularly stressed you would lay an extra lily across her desk in hopes of bringing a smile to her face, even if you couldn't see it. The routine brought you comfort and joy. You knew that Larissa would never have feelings for you but you hoped these small things would be a light in her busy and hectic life.
It was the middle of the spring semester when you had a stumble in your routine. Your alarm had gone off late causing you to have to rush through the tasks. Flowers and coffee in hand you pushed open her office door, slightly out of breath only to see the woman already sitting at her desk with a slight frown. You froze as she looked up at the sound of your entry, her eyes scanning you up and down, taking in the gifts you held. She slowly stood and made her way over to you, confusion evident on her face. “My dear, it was you?” she said softly, reaching out to take the items from your arms. “I'm so sorry Headmistress,” you said with a blush, looking down to avoid her piercing gaze as your now empty hands twisted together. “Come. sit,” she said with a slightly sterner voice, placing her hand on your shoulder and guiding you to one of the seats in front of her desk.
Gingerly you sat down, shivering at the loss of her hand on your shoulder. You looked up to see Larissa perched on the edge of her desk in front of you and you let out a sharp inhale as your eyes traced her pale thigh, now exposed from the way her skirt rode up as she sat. With your cheeks flaming you looked down again, staring at your own feet. At the sound of her voice, however, you looked up again, meeting her piercing blue eyes swirling with emotion. “ Why have you been leaving me gifts?” she asked softly, confusion evident on her face. “ I just… I wanted to bring you joy” you muttered, eyes flitting about the office, looking everywhere but at the object of your affection. “How did you even know what to get me?” she said, even softer. “ I just paid attention” you stated, finally meeting her eyes. At this she tilted her head, a soft smile forming on her face. “No one has ever cared enough to do something like that” she almost whispered. “Then they are foolish,” you stated your voice firm and filled with emotion. “You deserve all the joys in the world Larissa. You deserve to be woken up with your favorite coffee. Flowers whenever you could want them. Your favorite meal brought for lunch every day. You deserve all the love in the world!” you exclaim with passion.
As soon as the word left your mouth you found yourself pailing, realizing what you had just said to the woman. Your boss. You stood abruptly, quickly stepping away from her. “I'm so sorry headmistress, I overstepped” you stutter with a blush. Quickly you turn away and dart towards the door however as your hand brushes the knob you feel a hand grasp your wrist. “Wait!” she exclaims. You slowly turn, staring fixedly at the carpet until you feel a finger under your chin, gently lifting your face until you make eye contact with her. “Darling, I always hoped it was you,” she said with a gentle smile as she stepped closer, her eyes slipping down to look at your lips. You gasped as your back hit the door behind you. Your own eyes darted down to her lips, as you found yourself surrounded by her scent, lilies, vanilla, and bergamot flooding your senses. Meeting her eyes once again you feel her hand shift on your face, no longer lifting your chin, her thumb now stroking your cheek as she slowly leaned in. you closed your eyes as your lips finally met, your own hands reaching up to grasp her, one sliding into her hair as the other grips her shoulder. You pull away as you run out of breath and you take in her face, Lipstick smeared but smiling widely at you until you can't help but smile back. She pulls you to her in a warm hug then and you feel her lips against your ear as she speaks. “My dear I will give you all the joy in the world” she whispers before pulling back so your lips could meet again.
This is so incredibly sweet. I love it!!!
Hey, I was wondering if you could write Larissa Weems x Daughter!Reader, where the reader is like 15 years old, a shapeshifter like her and it's been like 4-5 years since Larissa has adopted her and one morning, reader shows up with the same color hair as her and shyly start calling her "mom"? Something very sweet with a lot à fluff ❤
Thanks, Mom
Larissa Weems x Daughter!Reader
Authors Note: Now this is cute.

She looked shocked to see you when you came down the stairs. Your usual dark brown hair was now light blonde, almost white, just like hers. Your adoptive mother, Larissa Weems, smiled at you, but she didn’t make a big deal of the change, “I like your hair.”
She placed a plate of eggs and toast at the kitchen counter for you before turning around to fix herself lunch for work. This was apart of your everyday ritual with one another.
Since you had been adopted by Larissa Weems 5 years ago, she always gently woke you up in the mornings before school. When you came downstairs a half hour later, she had breakfast ready and packed you a lunch. She really was a wonderful mother and you loved her very much. About a year after coming to live with Larissa, you warmed up to her allowing her to hug you and kiss your forehead. She helped you lots with your shapeshifting too.
You sat at the counter and bit your lip before you spoke, “Thanks, mom.”
She turned to look at you, a smile spread across her face. Larissa felt her heart swell in her chest, but she knew you didn’t like her to make such a big deal over things. She felt as though she could cry at you finally calling her mom, “Of course, sweetheart.”
Larissa finished packing your lunches for the day, placing yours before you before she took your now empty plate. She pressed a kiss to your forehead. She noticed the lipstick mark and licked her thumb before wiping it away, “Sorry, honey.”
“No worries, mom. Can I have Katie over tonight?” You ask, getting up from your chair to put on your shoes and grab your backpack.
“If you get your homework done.” She replied glancing at you over her shoulder as she rinsed the dish and stuck it in the dishwasher, “Are you walking with me to school or do you have fencing practice?”
“Fencing. Can I put my backpack in your office until class?” You ask holding up the bag by its handle.
“Yes, but don’t leave it in the way. I almost tripped over it last time.” You could help but roll your eyes at her comment.
You swore she had eyes in the back of her head, “I saw that young lady.”
You took that ad your cue to leave and head to fencing practice, “Okay, mom. I’ll see you tonight.”
Larissa smiled again at the name, but she stopped you before you could get out the front door, “Stop right there.”
You knew you were forgetting something. You left the front door open and jogged over to Larissa, wrapping your arms around her torso. When you pulled away she took your face in her hands and gave you air kisses all over your face and head, “Okay, okay, okay, you’re smothering me.”
“I just love you so much, my little baby.” She was messing with you now as she wrapped you back up into a bone crushing hug that had you laughing.
“Yes, I love you too. Now, I need oxygen.” You laughed between the words, pushing against her and trying to free yourself from her grasp.
She released you with a smile and shooed you out the door, “Okay, now don’t be late.”
Don't leave me
Pairing: Brienne of Tarth x Reader
Word Count: 863
Warning: Angst, talking about possible death
Prompt: "Quit looking at me like that." / "Like what?" / "Like you're never going to see me again."

You knew the day would come. It was inevitable and still you had hoped it would come. That time would somehow be kind, just this once and would stop. That the good times could last.
But waking up every day in a camp full of soldiers preparing to fight made it more real. You couldn't deny it anymore, and you became more and more scared with every day. Scared that one day you'd wake up and Brienne would tell you that she has to leave to fight.
This morning it had happened.
---------------------
It was a morning like all the others. You had woken up, gotten ready and left your tent to find Brienne and have breakfast with her. You had walked through the camp, greeting some people you knew and looked at the ones getting ready to say their goodbyes with pity in your eyes.
War wasn't something nice. All the men always said it was necessary, it was honourable to fight in this war. But you could see how it was honourable to leave your family and die for something you didn't even really believe in, for something that didn't affect you. For the king's will.
Standing in front of Brienne's tent you had tried to push the bad feeling away and think optimistically. You had entered with a big smile on your face, ready to greet tour favourite person. The person you loved, even though you had never built up the courage to tell her. But the second you had laid your eyes on her, you knew. The day had come.
She stood in full armour, that wasn't something she normally did until after breakfast. She looked at you with an apologetic smile. She knew you dreaded this day, but she couldn't change it. She had sworn an oath, and she took those very seriously. You knew that and you respected that.
But having to let someone you love go, into possible death still wasn't easy. No matter the reasons.
You could stop your eyes getting watery. You didn't even know what to say. You just stood there. Looking at her, more scared than you had ever been in your whole life.
"Quit looking at me like that."
"Like what?"
"Like you're never going to see me again."
You let out a slight, pathetic laugh at that. It immediately turned into sobs and Brienne was at your side in a second. She pulled you in a hug and embraced you fully.
"B-… But what if I don't. What if you won't come back?" You pushed her away a little to look up at her.
"Shush, don't say that. I will come back. You know how good I am." She pulled you back into the hug and held you until the tears stopped coming.
Brienne bad still prepared breakfast, so you sat down and ate. But it was different than usual. It wasn't filled with laughter or happiness. It felt like a farewell. It felt like you should have fun, if she wasn't to come back you didn't want your last time together to have been this. This sadness. But you just couldn't help yourself. You weren't able to even smile. A few times a tear slipped down your cheek again, but you immediately dried it. You didn't want to cry again.
After breakfast, you accompanied Brienne to her horse and watched her prepare the last bits for the fight. Right before she left, she turned around once more and hugged you again and in that moment you wanted to tell her everything you felt for her. But no words came out. You couldn't talk.
So you pulled her down, stood up on your tiptoes and kissed her. You hoped that the kiss showed her what you felt. What she meant to you. That you loved her. With all your heart.
You broke the kiss of and watched her get on the horse without saying anything as she turned her head one last time, you would have sworn that you saw a tear roll down her cheek.
With a last wave of your hand she left. You turned around, went to Brienne's tent and the second you closed the curtains behind you the most gut-wrenching sob left you mouth.
-----------------------
In the night, when you were already sleeping the soldiers and knights came back. A lot wounded, even more dead.
Your sleep wasn't very deep, you had fallen asleep crying. Exhausted from all the sobs, not having eaten anything but breakfast. So when you heard someone enter the tent you woke up right away.
You were really too exhausted to be alarmed. You really didn't care.
But when you looked closer you recognise the figure. You jumped up and threw yourself around her neck.
And the sobbing started again. But this time it was out of relief and happiness.
You felt strong arms wrap around your waist and pull you closer.
"Please never leave me again. I can't do this, I was so worried." You tried to form a coherent sentence through all your crying.
"I won't, Darling. I'll stay with you. I promise."
"I love you, Brienne. More than anything."
Thank you so much!! Means a lot🥰
I want you, just you
Pairing: Joyce Byers×OC, Robin Buckley×sister
Word count: 2601
Warnings: some smut at the end
Summary: You are Robin's older sister and friends with Steve, Jonathan and Nancy. You always hang out at Jonathans and often help Joyce cook dinner for all of you. You developed a massive crush on her and one day you ask her out on a date. Joyce knows that your gay because you helped Will with coming out to her.
A/n: So I haven't posted anything in a while and I had this fanfic in my drafts for quite a while but never got myself to finishing it. But I have a few new ideas and wanted to finish it before I start something new. So here it is. Hope you like it!♡

"My god, just ask her out already. The worst that can happen is that she says no."
"It's not that easy Robin! What are Jonathan and Will gonna think?"
"They both love you endlessly, they won't care. They just want their mom to be happy. Asking her out won't kill you." Claire turned around and raised an eyebrow at that statement.
"Then why don't you tell Nancy how you feel about her?"
"That's totally different, she's in a relationship. You know that. Joyce is single and I don't want to listen to your sad, self pitying anymore. So. Ask. Her. Out. End of discussion." Robin grabbed her bag and left the shop.
Claire Buckley worked in a little flowershop a few houses next to the shop Joyce Byers worked in. Her shift usually ended an hour before Joyces, so she always waited for her after closing the shop and then drove her home. They knew each other through Jonathan. Claire was friends with him, Steve and Nancy. They often hung out at the Byers house and when Will also had his friends over, there were a lot of mouths to feed. So Claire often helped Joyce with cooking and making dinner ready. She loved it, just the two of them talking and laughing. Joyce knew that Claire was gay, Will accidentally told her, when he was talking about the way that Claire helped him with coming out.
Today wasn't a busy day so she closed the shop early. Before leaving she made a little bouquet out of beautiful pink-yellowish roses for Joyce.
Claire knew Robin was right, asking her out wasn't such a big deal and normally she was pretty confident in everything she did but Joyce made her legs wobbly and her heart beat so fast it felt like having a heartattack.
After closing the shop Claire walked up and down the sidewalk like an idiot in front of the shop and thought about what to say. She really didn't want to fuck this up, besides the whole crushing situation Claire really liked Joyce. She had been so accepting, when Claire came out and had always been there for her. Robin was a fabulous sister but she had her own baggage to cary with struggling and coming out. It was nice to have someone just listen to you and tell you it would all be alright. And cooking with Joyce always made her day and she enjoyed the calming effect that she had on her. After about 5 minutes of walking a hole into the sidewalk Claire entered the shop.
"Hey Joyce, it's me. I closed the shop a little earlier." Claire walked over to a free counter and sat down.
"Ah, there you are. Not much business today here either." Joyce sat down next to her and smiled at her. That bright, loving smile gave Claire some confidence.
"I brought you some flowers."
"Thank you Claire, they're beautiful. They'll get a special place at home." She smiled at the flowers and seemed to be caught up in her thoughts. It was so easy to fall in love with her, Claire thought. Or maybe that was just her opinion.
"I... I wanted to ask you something."
"Sure, what is it?" Joyce looked up to her and gave her a reassuring smile.
"Would you go on a date with me? We could go to a restaurant, or I'd cook for you." Her smile faded a bit and Claire directly hated herself for ever having asked. She stood up and walked away from the counter, the flowers still in her hand.
"Aren't I a bit too old for you?" She chuckled sarcastically. Joyce felt a wave of insecurity rush over her, she didn't think that Claire would make such a cruel joke but she doubted that she really wanted something from her. Why would she? Claires smile dropped immediately.
"I..." she had never thought about the age difference before, her concernes always lied somewhere else. The kids, her maybe not liking woman, the town gossip...
"I never thought about our age difference to be honest. It never mattered to me." Claire stood up and walked towards her, she still had her back to her but the flowers weren't in her hands anymore.
Claire slowly put a hand on Joyce's shoulder and another one on her waist. She closed her eyes and she could feel her sink into the touch and visibly relax. Joyce felt safe when Claire touched her, it wasn't something she understood but it was something she always denied herself because she never thought the feeling could be reciprocated.
Moving close to her ear with her mouth Claire whispered: "It doesn't matter, you hear me. It doesn’t change the way I feel about you and I wouldn't ask you out on a date if I didn't mean it. Believe me. So, what's your answer?" Joyce really wanted to believe her, she wanted to so bad. So she did. She risked being hurt. She was tired of denying herself basic needs.
She opened her eyes again and moved her head slightly into Claires direction. Their faces were inches away from each other.
"Okay, cook for me." Claire started smiling without even trying to and turned Joyce around. She moved her head up to look into Claire's eyes and shyly smiled at her.
"Close the shop, noone will come. And if they do, they can wait until tomorrow. I'll drive you home." She nodded and started closing.
--------------
Claire stopped the car infront of the house and as Joyce wanted to leave the car, Claire grabbed her arm. The older woman turned to look at her.
"Tomorrow, 7 o'clock?" Joyce nodded and with a smile she left the car. Claire waited until she was in the house and the door was closed. With a bright smile on her face she left, excited to tell Robin about the latest events.
"You'll never believe what just happened. I need you out of the house tomorrow." Robin hadn't even closed the door yet but Claire already threw the words at her.
"Ok, chill. I really have to pee. After that you can tell me." Claire rolled her eyes but accepted and walked back to sit down on the sofa.
Her thoughts directly wandered to Joyce, just thinking about her made her feel like a teenager again. It felt like there were thousands of butterflys in her stomach. She had never felt like this before.
"Claire? Hello, earth to Claire?!" Robin was wildly waving her hands in front of Claires face to get her attention. "So what did you want to tell me, huh?" Claire immediately started to smile like an absolute idiot.
"I did it. I asked Joyce out. And...she said yes! Can you believe it. We have a date tomorrow at 7 o'clock. I'll cook for her. That why I'll need you out of here at least until the next morning. You never now what will happen." Claire winked at her sister and smiled sheepishly.
"Well thas amazing Claire. I told you it won't be bad to ask her. Honestly if I wouldn't have forced you, you would still cry about her. So you can basically thank me."
"Oh, shut up. I would have done it sooner or later."
They both laughed. Happy to have each other and to have someone who understands them.
----------------------
"Oh. Hi, Joyce. Please come in, Claire is in the kitchen. Claire! Joyce is here. I'll leave now. Bye" with that Robin closed the door behind her and Joyce was left alone in the hallway. She didn't really know what to do so she took her jacket of and went to look for Claire. Right in that moment Claire opened a door at the other end of the hallway.
"Hello Joyce. I thought my sister would have enough manners to actually show you where the kitchen is and not just leave. Come in." Joyce stepped forward unsure how to greet Claire she just looked up at her and laughed nervously.
"Do I hug you now?" Claire let out a laugh at that.
"If you want to, then yes." So Joyce stood up on her tiptoes and hugged Claire. At that Claire felt a shiver go through her whole body. She buried her head deep in Joyce's hair and felt completely at ease for the first time in a long time.
Claire let go before it got awkward and showed Joyce the living room.
"You can sit down. I'll just grab the food real quick."
"I could help."
"No." Claire protested, "You're my guest and I'll treat you as such." With that she left the room just to come back with two bowls of food a second later.
"Mhh, that smells amazing Claire." She smiled at Joyce and they started to eat.
They talked about everything that came to mind. It felt absolutely natural and they both felt comfortable around each other. This date wasn't their last one. They met multiple times after that. Never doing much more than having dinner, talking or going to the movies. But that was fine with them. They wanted to take it slow.
----------------------
It was a cold Friday evening, Claire had cooked for Joyce again and they both sat on the couch together laughing about a story Claire had just told about her sister. Joyce laughed so sincerely that Claire just stopped and looked at her in awe. She was so damn beautiful. Without really noticing Claire got closer to Joyce. When she opened her eyes again, Claire was so close to her that she stopped laughing abruptly out of shock.
"I..., Claire what are you doing?"
"If you won't protest I would like to kiss you." Joyce eyes grew wide in shock. She guessed it was logical that all the dates would lead to this but still she wasn't sure how to feel about this. She knew that she wanted it but still she still couldn't believe that Claire was sincere in her intention.
Joyce backed away a little.
"I.., Claire if all of this. All the dates, the cooking was just to get into my pants, I can assure you there is nothing grande under those clothes. So you should search for someone your age for that." Claire felt a wave of sadness wash over her. Did Joyce actually believe that? Didn't she make clear that she liked her?
"Joyce, please listen to me." She took Joyce's hands in hers and looked at her with all the sincerity and love she had in her.
"All of the things that I did for you, all the dates we had, all the hours we sat here talking, laughing about stupid things. All of this, I did because I really like you. Because I enjoy your company. And if I wanted to kiss you or sleep with you, that's just because I think your stunning, I feel butterflys everytime I look at you and I want you. Not anyone else, just you. But if you don't want all of that. That's ok, we don't have to do this."
"But why me? I'm not special, neither me as a person nor the way I look. I'm just Joyce."
"And that's exactly what I want. You, Joyce. With all your flaws, all you fears, insecurities and problems. You are beautiful, please you have to belive me. I've had this crush on you since I've known you and it took all the courage in me to ask you out, because I thought you would never want to date me. So know that you allowed me to be such an intimate part of your life and let me get to know you even more, I want to protect you with all I have and make you understand how wonderful you are. I've realised that what I feel for you is so much more than a crush." Joyce let out a shy laugh at that and stroked a strand of hair out of Claires face.
"I don't think anyone has ever said something so beautiful to me." Claire grabbed Joyce's face and before she could overthink it, she kissed her.
It was by all means not a perfect kiss, but it was full if love and desire. It felt like all the butterflys in Claires stomach wanted to break out. And the feeling made it perfect, better than any other kiss could ever be.
Claire's hand slowly wandered down to start unbuttoning Joyce shirt. She stopped for a second to wait for consent. When Joyce slightly nodded, she took the shirt of and threw it to the floor. She pushed Joyce's hair aside and started to kiss her neckand then her shoulder. She slowly pushed Joyce down until she was laying in front of her and continued kissed her, whil slowly wandering down to her breasts.
"Take it off, take your shirt of." Claire stopped to follow Joy's request. To Joyce surprise Claire wasn't wearing a bra, so she was practically naked in front of her.
"Claire, I think you should know, that I have never slept with a woman before." Joyce looked at Claire with an apologising smile. Claire moved up and kissed Joyce passionately.
"I don't care." She grabbed her waist and pulled her closer to her. She wanted to feel all of Joyce skin on hers. Whil kissing her, her hand slowly opened Joyce pants and started to above them down a bit. She could feel Joyce lift up her hips against her. It drove her crazy how much she wanted that woman. She never thought something like this would be possible.
As the pants landed on the floor, Claire started kissing her way down Joyce's body and grabbed behind her to open the bra that was still covering Joyce's breasts. When she moved up a little to look at Joyce, she covered her body. So Claire shoved her hands away. "Don't. You look amazing. I want to see you." She started slightly kissing her breasts and took one nipple in her mouth while pinching the other one. Joyce tried to suppress a moan but failed as Claire sucked harder. "Please, I want to hear you. Let it out." At that Joyce moaned again, this time not trying to suppress anything. At that sound Claire's vagina pulsated and her whole body got goosebumps. She started wandering further down and took of the panties, that were the only item of clothing Joyce was still wearing. Joyce clenched to the cushions closest to her while Claire started kissing and licking her already wet cunt. With one hand Joyce shoved Claire deeper into her and held onto her hair. "Oh god, Claire...please" Claire stopped much to Joyce disappointment and looked up. "Please what? Use your words.", "Please I need more, please fuck me", Claire chuckled, amused by Joyce's neediness. "Your wish is my command." With that she resumed her actions but also slowly put two fingers inside her. Joyce's was already throbbing from lust. The moaning got louder and fastly turned into a kind of lustful and erotic screaming. Something Claire had never heard before but it turned her on quite alot. "Claire, please. I'm gonna come.. I...Oh god, that feels amazing." With a last loud scream Joyce came with Claires name on her lips.
Claire slowly moved up to Joyce and kissed her.
"Thank you, I never knew sex could feel like this." Claire smiled at her and stood up she reached out for Joyce and took her to the bedroom, where they fell asleep curled up together.
