After Having Lost Everything, I Would Like It Very Much If You Could Follow Them Again, Or If You Hadn't

After having lost everything, I would like it very much if you could follow them again, or if you hadn't already then for the first time!

“Where is all the content that previously existed on this blog?”

This is genuinely a heartbreaking revelation, but to cut a long story short: did you know that Tumblr allows you to register more than one blog to the same email address? But that, despite allowing this, if you log into just one of those blogs and specifically select to close down that one, isolated blog, it will delete every account under that same email address and erase every post from that blog? And did you also know, despite this huge website flaw, Tumblr holds no account backup to restore lost blogs?

Well, let me tell you, I certainly know now.

This blog has been mine for many years, and it had many years of my writing for it, spreading through multiple fandoms that I fell in and out of love with throughout those years. Just over 3,000 people had found this blog and enjoyed the content enough to follow it. Some of them may have only stuck around to reread older works from fandoms I no longer wrote for, that history was a source of nostalgia for them as much as it was for me. And now, all of them and all of that content is gone. And because I have no means of restoring any of my previous work, many of those people will not find their way back to my blog, because I am no longer as involved in those fandoms.

Of course, this is not entirely the fault of Tumblr. Naturally, I should have had a means of storing my own work elsewhere, but perhaps foolishly I trusted Tumblr to keep my posts safe. I know now that, going forward, I cannot put this faith in this site.

That said, I feel that I owe it to a lot of you to at least try. I cannot remember the full extent of the majority of the writing I posted across all of those different fandoms, but at the very least, I will be attempting to write a few blurbs and headcannons for each of the characters whose content has been lost, referencing details I recall from said lost content. I do not know how long this will take me or how consistent I will be, but I promise you, I will do it.

As of now (29/12/2022), all I have are the most recent pieces I’d written for Brienne of Tarth, as these were still stored in the bin of my documents folder, due to be cycled into the abyss until I was thankfully able to restore them.

Any writing posted here, from now on, outside of the Game Of Thrones franchise, is being written and posted almost in homage to what I - and, to any of you that have found me again, we - have lost.

Thank you for reading, nobody is more sorry than I am for this.

- Heather

so i was thinking about new years and loved the idea of larissa and r being each others new years kiss.

like the two of them are in an urgent meeting discussing something that had gone down with some students before christmas break, them needing to get some reports done and filed. them sipping some champagne, just for festivities. the meeting going on so long they lost track of time, only a few minutes left before midnight, realizing this one of them takes the leap and asks the other to be their new years kiss, and linger on each other’s lips longer than they should

New Years Kiss

Larissa Weems x Reader

So I Was Thinking About New Years And Loved The Idea Of Larissa And R Being Each Others New Years Kiss.

“I can’t believe their end of semester prank was to reshuffle the entire filing room…” You sit back against the wall and lean you head back, banging your head gently against the wall to make your frustration known. Scattered around you were the files of the hundreds of Nevermore students, all needed to be put back into place.

Larissa Weems sat next to you, resorting through her file of papers, obviously frustrated with the task at hand. Students had been sent home a week ago and today, December 31st, you informed your boss that the entire hardcopy filing system has been shuffled about. Now all of student and staff information was in the correct place. Both of you had to cancel New Years plans to sit in a small back room of Nevermore Academy until it was fixed.

You kept sorting. Every once in a while you would exchange sheets of paper. You were reorganizing students and she started with reorganizing staff.

Larissa checked her watch, “I’ll be right back.”

You watched her get up and leave, but you turn your head back down to the filing job at hand. You saw Larissa Weems as an incredibly beautiful woman, but you had never expected more than friendship from her. When she returned, she was carrying a small bottle of champagne and paper cups.

“It’s almost midnight. We have officially been here for 8 hours.” She handed you a paper cup, and opened the champagne over a small garbage can in case it overflowed, “I kept this little guy in my desk for emergencies.”

Truthfully, you had only been working a couple of those hours. When you were together, sometimes your conversations would veer off into philosophy, politics, or educational dilemmas.

“We should have started drinking when we started.” You stated, holding your cup still for her to fill yours and then her own. You held your cup up to her as she stood above you, “Cheers.”

“Cheers.” She tapped her cup against yours, throwing hers back like a shot. Larissa took a seat back down by you. For the next few minutes, you took turns refilling each others cups and drinking.

11:58

“No New Years kiss this year.” You lean into Larissa’s shoulder, enjoying the light tingle in your skull from the alcohol.

“Who said no New Years kiss? You can kiss me.” Larissa questioned and stated, making your eyes widen. You wouldn’t object to kissing her, this was just unexpected.

11:59

“Okay. I mean, yeah sure. I-“ You were a little nervous at your automatic response, you didn’t want to seem overzealous, but you couldn’t pass up the opportunity to kiss her.

Larissa glanced down at her phone, your eyes glanced down at the time, 11:59. Do you kiss now or-?

She leaned in first. You wondered how she was so fearless or were you just too fearful? You met her halfway, pressing your lips to hers.

You hadn’t been this close to her before. She smelled so nice. Larissa brought up a hand to your cheek. Her hands were soft too. You reached a hand out, grasping at the fabric of her jacket to keep her close.

Her mouth opened a little, you felt her tongue graze your bottom lip. You deepen the kiss a little more. It was when Larissa placed a hand on your leg that you both part slowly.

12:02

She glances down at her phone again. Its 12:02. Had your kiss really been that long? Larissa picks back up the champagne bottle, drinking some before handing the bottle to you, giving you what was left.

Larissa’s face was flush. She was embarrassed by how she behaved during your kiss. You saw the redness in her face as she pretended to busy herself with the paperwork once more.

“Thank you for that…” You say, trying not to embarrass her too much more. You turn back to your paperwork at hand.

Both of you sat much closer together now, your thighs touching. You wondered what your relationship would look like from here on out.

My Cure

Pairing: Larissa Weems x teacher!Reader

Word Count: 1440

Warning: hurt/comfort, none really

Prompt: "You're in love. There is no cure for that."

A/n: So in the past time I have written a lot of Brienne fanfics, but I also really wanted to try out Larissa. You can also request her if you want!

My Cure

You had wanted to be alone. That's why you had sat down by the lake. On your own. But Larissa didn't seem to care about that. You had felt her even before she had sat down. With everyone else you would have sent them away, but with her, it was ok. You didn't mind as much.

"I have heard from some colleagues that you aren't feeling so well. You don't have to tell me anything, but I still wanted to check on you." She warmly smiled at you.

You hesitated for a second. You weren't sure if you really wanted to tell someone, mainly because you were scared of the answer. Scared of what could be wrong with you. Not having a diagnosis made it easier to ignore it, but you were sick of hurting. And Larissa warm and genuine smile made you feel so comfortable that you knew you could trust her. So you told her.

"It's- I don't know, I think I might be sick. I often feel very uncomfortable, like my whole body aches. It feels like my heart hurts, sometimes I think I might have a heart attack. But I don't always feel like this. Sometimes everything is fine, and I think it's gone, and then it's there again. No matter what I do, there seems to be no cure." A tear was falling down your cheek and Larissa pulled you into her side for a hug.

"Oh, Darling. I'm so sorry, but could it be that you always feel ok, when around a certain person. And the heartache starts as soon as you're alone again?" You pulled away to look at her.

You thought about that for a second. "Yes, I think you're right." At that Larissa chuckled and gave you a light kiss on the hair.

"Darling, you're in love. There is no cure for that." Your eyes widened at her statement. Could that be? You had never been in love, ever before. That would at least explain your obliviousness.

"I-... Are you sure?"

"Well, I'm not you and I don't exactly know what you feel. But it sounds a lot like it. Yes." You blushed and Larissa just couldn't hold the laugh. You looked too adorable.

"I assume you've never been in love, right?" You looked to the ground and slightly shook your head. You were embarrassed, there was no hiding that. You were 26 years old and had never been in love. You had always felt like something was wrong with you.

Larissa took your chin between her fingers and gently directed your face up, you were forced to look at her.

"There is nothing to be embarrassed about, love." The nickname made your eyes flutter and your cheeks probably grew even redder.

"Everyone evolves in their own timing. And it doesn't matter if you fall in love with 15 or with 26." You slowly nodded your head at that. Honestly this woman was an angel sent from heaven. You slightly opened your arms and looked at her with a questioning face.

"Of course you can have a hug." She laughed at you being so adorable and laid her head on top of yours. She was happy to have helped you, but still she felt a kind of sting in her heart, knowing that you were in love. Most definitely not with her.

-------------------

After your conversation with Larissa you laid awake for nearly the whole night. You were in love. With Larissa Weems. There was no mistaking that it had to be her. Knowing this it all made sense. How could you have been so blind and not realize that what you felt was love?

Every time you talked to her or even just saw her, all your problems felt unimportant. You just felt comfortable, warm and calm. Her nicknames for you always made your heart flutter and whenever she was towering over you, you felt like your knees would give in. For the longest time you thought that was respect, that you were even a little scared of her power.

You had never denied that she was a beautiful woman, sexy even. But was that really something appropriate thinking about your boss? Would she ever agree to date you, could she even like you?

You were sure she would reject you. But you had to try your luck. Is this heartache was just cured by her present, then it was worth a shot.

---------------------

You gently knocked at Larissa's office door. A soft Come in was heard from inside, so you opened the door and stepped in.

"Oh, (Y/n). How can I help you?" You approached her and sat down in front of the desk. You pulled the flowers from behind your back and held them in front of her.

"I have brought you flowers, I hope you like them." You didn't miss the blush that washed over her face. She gently smiled at you taking the flowers and standing up to put them in a vase.

"I wanted to thank you for our little talk. You were so very kind to me." She turned her head to smile at you.

"No problem, I'm always happy to help. Students as well as staff and colleagues." She filled the vase with water, and you decided this was the perfect moment to ask. If she looked at you, you probably wouldn't get a word out.

"I also wanted to ask you something. Would-... Wouldyougoonadatewithme?" You nearly stumbled over the words, because you wanted them out as fast as possible. Larissa stopped in her tracks and looked at the wall in front of her. Shit, you should have known this was a stupid idea. Who asks their boss out on a date?!

"I'm really happy that I was able to help you, but I don't think it is my task to help you get over whoever you are in love with. I'm very sorry that they aren't interested in you, but this is not the right way to work through heartbreak. I'd rather not be a distraction." While saying that she still looked at the wall in front of her. Not daring to turn around, she didn't want you to see the tears.

"If you could leave now. Thank you." You didn't leave. You stood up and approached her.

"I asked you to leave." Her voice broke away at the end and your heart broke with it. You took the vase out of her hand and placed it down. You closed the water tap and gently grabbed her wrist. You slowly guided her to her desk chair. She sat down, and you placed yourself between her and the desk. She looked at the floor, so you guided her face to look at you. But her eyes still avoided yours.

"Please, look at me." She got goosebumps at the gentleness in your voice. A silent tear fell down her cheek as she looked you in the eye. You softly washed it away and took her hands in yours.

"Larissa, dear, I would never use you as a distraction. Whoever did that to you, was an idiot." Larissa's mind directly wandered to Morticia and how she just wanted Larissa when she fought with Gomez.

"When you told me that I am in love, you assumed that my heartache leaves when I'm with a certain someone. That someone is you. When I'm with you I feel whole, like all is well, like no one can ever hurt me. I've never felt something like that ever before. You said there was no cure for my aching. But you are mistaken. You are my cure. You're my medicine. Larissa, I know this is so wrong because you're my boss, and you probably don't even reciprocate my feelings. But I've fallen in love with you. I am so deeply in love with you. I don't know how to make you believe me." Larissa's eyes closed, maybe out of shame for what she was about to ask. She felt so needy and pathetic.

"Kiss me." That was answer enough for you. So you did. And you hoped that your kiss was sincere enough for her to understand.

"I hope that was good enough. It was my first." Larissa's eyes opened in shock.

"I- You used your first kiss on me." You smiled at her and kissed her again.

"Of course, have you listened to one word I just said. I will hopefully spend all the kisses I have on you." Larissa grabbed your waist and pulled you between her legs into a deep hug. She embraced you completely.

"Thank you."

Dancing in the Dark

Pairing: Brienne of Tarth x Reader

Word Count: 1419

Warnings: none

Summary: You ask Brienne out for a dance. She doesn't take it very well.

A/n: So now that I've got that draft posted, I can start working on your request @pastanest!!

Dancing In The Dark

Yet again you sat on a rock just by the training ground. You were mesmerised by the way Brienne fought the men, by the way she held the sword and made the fighting look like a dance. It was a special dance, one that no one else could dance with such grace, with such beauty. You knew not many thought of Brienne as beautiful, because she didn’t fit the beauty standard of Westeros. She was taller than any woman you had ever laid eyes on, and she didn’t exactly stand for femininity. But that didn’t matter to you. The way you felt about her, it was something you had never felt before with anyone.

As you looked up from the book you were reading to look at her, you found her eyes already on you. She smiled at you, it was a smile most people probably wouldn’t understand as one. But you did, it was reserved just for you. You smiled back at her and suddenly felt enough courage to ask her what you had wanted to ask her for the last week.

You packed your book away and walked over to her.

“Brienne, do you have a moment?“ she looked up at you and put her sword back into her scabbard. You walked a few steps past her and turned around to look at her.

„Come, walk a bit with me.“ she followed you, and quietly you walked to your favourite tree. You had seen it grow since you were little, and slowly it became a big tree, that was a great source of shadow on a hot summer day. You stopped and leaned on the tree.

“How can I help you, my princess?” You smirked at her stubbornness. Whatever you did, she never called you by your name. It annoyed you, yes. But it was cute, so you didn’t mind.

“Your princess,”, you mocked her, “would like to ask you something.” Brienne nodded slightly.

“Have you heard about the dance my father is hosting?”

“Yes, I have heard of it. But I don’t plan to attend it.” You were sad to hear that, but were sure that you could change her mind.

“Why not?”

“I don’t have a partner for it and I know that no one wants me there.” It broke your heart to hear her say something like that.

“Well, I would want you there. Will you go to the dance with me?”

Brienne took a step back and her face suddenly changed from relaxed to pure discomfort. Her posture stiffened, and she looked down at you with shock in her face.

“(Y/n) I really thought you were different. I won’t fall for this, you’re just gonna stand me up.” With that Brienne turned around and left.

“Brienne, wait. I don’t…” she ignored you and honestly you didn't have the energy to follow after her. Your legs were much shorter and it would have taken all your energy.

——————————

It had been three days since you asked Brienne to the dance, the dance which was today. You had decided, much to your sisters despair, that you wouldn’t go. Brienne was the only one you would have gone with. If you went alone, all the princes your dad had invited would try to seduce you, and it would be unbearable. So, you just didn’t go. You stayed in your room the whole day, not wanting to meet your sister. Knowing that she would just try to get you to going to the dance, you could easily do without that conversation.

In the evening after everyone had left for the ball, and you felt that you could wander through the halls without meeting people all the time, you left your room. For about half an hour you just walked around until you sat down in the courtyard. It was a clear night and there were many stars in the sky. They probably formed all sorts of star signs, but that was your brother's speciality not yours. You were better with books and knew a lot about different flowers and their effects.

Suddenly someone sat down next to you, you hadn’t even heard them coming.

“You’re not at the dance, my lady.” You recognised the voice as Brienne’s. She had such a calm and soothing voice, you would recognise it everywhere. Normally it brought you comfort, but now it felt like a stab in the heart.

“No, I’m not.” Your voice was cold. Colder than you had wanted it to be.

“Why not, my lady? I assume there were plenty of suitors for you.” You looked at her and chuckled. But it was not out of amusement but rather out of disbelieve. She really didn’t get it. “Well, the only person I would have gone with said no. So I didn’t feel like going on my own.”

Brienne looked at you for a second, and then she looked into the stars again. Even if you were hurt and even a little pissed at her behaviour you had to admit that she looked beautiful in the moonlight. And the sight of her here, not in armour but simply in her most natural form, reminded you again why you had fallen in love with her.

"I'm sorry, that he did that to you."

"You really don't get it, do you?"

She looked at you, utterly confused.

"I don't think I can follow my lady."

"My god, Brienne. Stop calling me that. I've told you so many times."

You jumped up on your feet and just stared at Brienne for a second, not really knowing what you actually wanted to tell her now. The truth, yes. But she would never believe you.

“Ah, Brienne. I'm sick of this dancing around each other and ignoring each other. I’m very well aware of the fact that you will probably not believe a word of what I’m about to say. But I don’t know how to make you believe. So I’ll just spit it out. I’m in love with you. There, now you know it. This is most definitely not how I wanted to tell you, but I can’t do this anymore. You were the only person I would have attended the ball with and you let me standing under that tree like an idiot because you can’t believe that anyone could ever love you. I understand that you’ve been hurt in your life, many times. But I thought we trusted each other, enough for you to know that I would never joke about you like that. And I could have lived with you not wanting to go with me and ignoring me afterwards, if I knew that you didn’t like me. But you do. I know you do.” Brienne was blushing like an idiot and was quite happy for the darkness around her for covering it up a bit.

“How…”

“Oh come on, I’m not an Idiot. I see the way you look at me, the way you smile when I enter the room and the way your voice softens when you talk to me, the way you visibly relax, when around me.”

Brienne saw a lonely tear fall down your cheek. You had never seen her stand up and rush towards you so fast. She dried the tear and looked at you apologetic.

“I’m sorry I brought you so much hurt and sadness.”

“Oh stop, you have brought me so much more. So much joy, laughter, love and memories. I will always thank you for that. And even if you don’t see it. I see so much beauty in you. To me there is no one like you.”

“But you’re the princess, I’m a female knight, neither am I what people expect a knight to be like nor am I what people expect a lady to be like. No one would accept it.”

“You said it yourself. I’m a princess. I do whatever I want. Now, will you dance with me?”

You laid your arms around her neck and gently put your head on her breast. You melted in to her touch and let her lead you.

She placed a kiss on your hair and whispered something in your ear:

“I love you (Y/n).”

With a smile on your face you danced around the courtyard and didn’t stop until your feet started to hurt because of the heels. But even then you didn’t stop, you just took them off, making you even smaller next to Brienne, and kept on dancing in the dark.
