I'm binge watching the rest of IWTV S2 and laugh hysterically every now and then. Why are they adding so many hilarious lines and shots in between all this angst and drama, I can't- for Christ's sake IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SO FUNNY ðŸ˜

This plotline is just one more thing that keeps me unsatisfied with s3 and the ending. To say the show went for the easiest route is an understatement.
For one, it makes no sense there is only August left in the line of succession and I will die on that hill.
Second thing: their agreement in s3e1 didn't solve anything. It was just a temporary solution. Or it should've been that, if there was one decent journalist in the world of the series. If not now, it will bite August later, maybe years later, but it will eventually happen. We have more than one living example of how the real-ass scandal can damage one's reputation and life, it's might be even worse for people like August whose whole life was about working for the Crown. And if (or rather when) it happens, Wilhelm and Simon's privacy will be once again violated because everyone will be eager to know what they has to say, especially Wilhelm, especially in the light of his renounce. But August will have his absolute immunity from criminal charges as King, living in well-protected palace, surrounded by guards. Wilhelm and Simon and their relatives will have nothing. Yay...
YR Season 3 speculations: a layperson’s take on the criminal justice side
I’ve been considering making this kind of post for a while, because I’ve seen a lot of hopeful takes on how things are going to play out now that Sara has called the police, and I feel like I could add some perspective for those less familiar with the Swedish justice system. I hesitate to do it because I’m just a layperson and not even from Sweden but the next country over - but our justice systems are reasonably similar, I’ve spent a lot of time poring over relevant sources on Swedish law and justice, and @scatteredpiecesofme encouraged me to do this after our conversation yesterday.
So, here goes, haha.

As usual, I could very well be wrong about some things, and I welcome any additions or corrections!

The worst time to get turned into a vampire would be if you were growing out your hair and had it at a really awkward length, or if it was way too long for you and you were just about to get a haircut, but even worse than that would be if the vampire interrupted you part way through the haircut. Or part way through shaving off a beard and/or moustache.
Starting the day with some common sense. When I'm awake enough I might add something to what I said in the tags, but overall it's repeating the same thing I was saying since s3 came out.
Being queer is not political
LGBTQ+ rights are human rights.
I don't understand why Young Royals - the show that claims to be so woke and progressive - tries to frame it as one.
"IT'S BECAUSE THE MONARCHY WOULD NEVER...!" - nope, the real life royals speak about issues like this. They can and should openly support human rights. Remember when Queen Elizabeth drove a car with the prince of Saudi Arabia? The country where driving for women was illegal at the time? It was political, but she was supporting human rights with a gesture like this. It does happen.
"WILLE COULDN'T CHOOSE HIS OWN TOPIC TO SUPPORT!" - Well, I didn't even see him trying. He was the one claiming it's too political. Nobody forced him. (Also, claiming that mental health is somehow political or controversial too? What kind of bullshit is it?)
Framing this topic as political is just agreeing with the homophobes and all the right wing rhetorics. It shouldn't be controversial because it's simply not.
I don't know why Young Royals was so adamant that THE MONARCHY WOULD NEVER CHANGE. It could. In real life, it changed a lot over the years.
Please, don't form your life beliefs on a piece that didn't explore the topic properly because its creator didn't bother to be truthful about how those things work in real life.
