his fingers finally came to a halt as he intertwined them with yours. his silver rings gleaming despite the darkness as he then wrapped that arm around your waist, resting it against the bump under your tummy. the familiar yet dreamy smell of your shampoo and lotion clouded his mind as he subconsciously gave your hand a squeeze. he kissed your neck tenderly as you inhaled the nicotine and sighed at the smoothness that now once again flooded through your system. the smoke left your slightly dry lips and turned into pretty picturesque wisps before disappearing into the monsoon air.

the thunder rolling outside was faded into the hazy background, yet still completely comforted you to the core. there was little to no rain but the sky was a deep shade of grey. it was just the way he liked it. and at this point, you did too. the glass window felt pleasantly cold against your knee that rested against it. from the way the trees swayed violently with the wind, it must've been quite windy. it almost made you want to go out and feel it on your skin. almost. you wouldn't trade the world for what you were in right now. an asteroid would crash against the earth and you wouldn't spare a glance in it's direction. nothing could compare to this. just the two of you, and the purring of your cat, who was in deep slumber against your thigh.

this was your safe space. he was your safe space. your one and only home. where you've always belonged. your own little heaven.

For a bit of context, the story takes place in the Altered MHA AU that I created with my best girl @crystalwolfblog In this AU, a rehabilitated Touya runs a car workshop with his wife, Asuki. Their eldest, Takaya, often stops by after his hero course to hang out (and occasionally bother his parents), while their youngest, Nootka, sometimes spends time at the workshop with when she's not attending the kindergarten. This time, uncle Shigaraki - who's also been rehabilitated and lives with Touya’s family - decides to lend a hand at the workshop… though, of course, with some minor complications 🤭
