Corpse_Husband: speaking out loud causes the decibels to vibrate. Man, woman, and non binary all tremble.

Also Corpse: Standing in front of a card reader silently crying as he attempts to make his 50th swipe.

We love the duality of this man

This is part two of my RWBY recolor series, continuing with Weiss.

Using Gravit Designer (because I’m still poor), I basically changed Weiss’ whole outfit in some way with my four (technically 3.5) revisions.

#1: I added more color to the jacket and shoes while raising the brightness to the whole outfit. I made the top of the dress and the ribbon of the shoes white to add her signature color and made the fabric sash around her waist red. All to call back to her old outfit from season 1. The skirt already had a gradient in the original design, I just added more color so it can have a more noticeable difference between the hem and the waistband. I just wanted to make her more vibrant, my girl is an heiress, she should be proudly standing out in a crowd; a high and mighty huntress.

TLDR 1: I made it like her season 1 outfit with some blue.

#2: This design leans more into with the designers were doing originally. I still kept her wearing grey, but I brighten it up. I still don’t understand why they made her outfit so dark. The idea behind the official design was to show that other than her sister and her butler Klein (who I was sad to see missing in season 7, I was hoping to see him help Weiss get the info she needed by being her man on the inside or at least helping her distract Whitley. Even just a small scene of them bonding would have made me happy. I love J. Michael Tatum, sad they didn’t have him this season), she isn’t seen as an individual. Only as a puppet her father commands, already having her whole life planned out for her. The fire that shined lustrously at Beacon has been reduced to a small flame. She’s following her father’s orders until she can find a way to free herself. The start of season 4 was when Weiss had the least amount of hope, having to shift herself back into the obedient daughter who was wrong about the world. Her wearing grey to show her distress about her situation makes sense, but her dad is wearing a bright white suit! Why is she wearing a dark grey? They could of at least make it a lighter shade of grey since her whole family’s main color is white! I also made her sash blue instead of red because her goal was to escape and find Winter, not Ruby and the others. So I chose a different color instead of using red again. I also made the blue vibrant instead of diluted to show that even underneath her father’s thumb she still has a light that her father can never put out.

TLDR 2: I did what the show did but brighten it up and change the sash to blue.

#3: I decided to lean towards giving her a darker yet more luxurious outfit. So I utilized a royal blue for the ribbon on her shoes and the top of her dress. I used the same blue for the top of her skirt so that if truly felt connected to the top. The jacket and shoes used a lighter blue so the royal blue popped out more in the design. I couldn’t decide to use a white sash or a red one, so I used both. I can’t choose a favorite out of the two.

TLDR 3: I wanted to make her look like a princess so I put her in royal blue. I didn’t know what sash I liked better so you get two.

Sorry about the rambling in the second explanation, I’m a big fan of J. Michael Tatum so, I was sad to see him missing. I also like to analyze characters and watch videos about said characters so I can get a bit ranty about them. I’m working on Yang next, though I’m sure what to do other than changing the brown to tan and brighten the orange. Maybe adding some red to give her a sunset palette. Nintendo has discontinued the Nintendo 3DS system

Nintendo has now discontinued the popular Nintendo 3DS system. The Japanese website says “out of production” on each Nintendo 3DS product page. The North American Nintendo website has erased all mention of the system. It seems that Nintendo is now completely focussed on Nintendo Switch . Source

I am so sorry that this is so late! I was busy with work and forgot to upload it. So finally, here is the recolor of Yang.

Using Gravit Designer (…you know why…), I set out on what I mentioned in Weiss’ recolor;

Giving her a sunset palette

Changing the brown patches to tan

Brightening things in her design in general

So that’s what I did, here’s a list of changes I made to Yang

I changed the bandana around her leg to red

I brightened the patches on her chest

Changed the colors of the bottom half of her jacket(added a gradient and lightened the brown)

Changed the sleeves

Changed both sets of gloves(the one on her hand was black to yellow, the other pair brown to orange)

You see the collar around her neck? Changed it from brown to yellow

That’s really all I did, I wasn’t sure what other palette to use for Yang. Other than Ruby, color wise, I liked Yang’s design. I wanted to add red to Yang since she wanted to find and meet up with Ruby. Plus it connects her with her moms, Raven and Summer. I’m not sure what I’m doing with Ruby. Maybe I can do a random palette or the palette of a different character(Torchwick)? Leave me suggestions in the comments.

After watching “The Judgmental Critter’s” & “Twiinsiink’s” videos about RWBY’s character design, I wanted to see the girls in different colors. So, I started with Blake. 

Using Gravit Designer (because I’m poor), I recolored her jacket to fit her color palette more. I don’t mind her wearing white, but there was too much. The reason she wore white in the first place was to make sure you could see her body against her long black hair. I made her jacket dark grey and purple, so it matches her palette and stands out against her hair. I kept the belt and pouch white as a reference to Weiss, kept the gold accents as a reference to Yang, and in one version changed the belt across her chest to a dark crimson as a reference to Ruby. 

I’m working on Weiss next, maybe I’ll brighten up her colors; I’m not fully sure yet. Tell me if you like it if you want to use them for something just credit me and send me a link.
