Honestly, I Do Make An Attempt At Proper Grammar And Spelling When I Comment As Well As Proofread Prior
Honestly, I do make an attempt at proper grammar and spelling when I comment as well as proofread prior to hitting send, so hopefully no one will label my remarks as bot-like. However, I often include or cite quotes within works that have caught my interest or attention. If I've developed a longer back and forth with the author, then I sometimes write a little less formally just as one might in real life face-to-face interaction. It can be tricky to understand 'tone' in text and I do not like to unintentionally offend anyone.
PSA: bot comments are taking over ao3

The above examples have been provided with the authors' permission to demonstrate what these look like.
Basic rundown:
They are all 3 sentences long
Perfect grammar, capitalization, and punctuation
Like absolutely flawless English teacher-style writing with only a single exclamation mark, ever
No mentions whatsoever of character names, settings, situations, or anything that could be tied to the story
The usernames may be identical to people who exist on ao3, but the name is not clickable, and no profile is associated with it EXCEPT when you directly search for that name. What this means: the comments come from an unregistered (not logged in) reader, bots scrape the site for real usernames, attach that to the comment, and post
Please spread the word about this so authors can filter comments and report them accordingly
There has been some speculation about why this is happening at all, and the best guess is that this is a feature that AI-training story-scraping tools are implementing to try and make their browsing traffic look legitimate

I support SAG and I support the writers. As a viewer and fan of quality art no matter the medium, I am happy to wait patiently until they reach an agreement. Humanity needs the arts. Humanity needs diversity of thoughts, ideas, and means of expression.

Strike is on. Actors will be joining the writers on the picket lines. This is the first strike in 60 years for SAG, and essentially shuts down the entire US film and television industry.
Absolutely loved her in so many works. Lovely actress to watch and so many memorable roles.

Olympia Dukakis, June 20, 1931 – May 1, 2021.
Break A Leg, But Not The Strike Line

A suggestion for fans and viewers. Another way to support the WGA & SAG-AFTRA strike (and really, other guilds that surround the arts) is to check out your local art scene wherever you live if you haven't yet done so. A lot of talent from coast to coast in towns and cities small and large have theater productions of all types, independent productions (including cinema), children's theater, dance, and so on.
It is where the spark may be turned into a flame! From behind the scenes with sets, costumes, the list goes on and on. Watch, volunteer, have a blast, art is for you!

*I should add that I know stage production is different, but I'm going to plug all of it because writers/actors/costumers/ etc all get started someway, somehow, somewhere, and why not celebrate human creativity wherever and whoever you are?!
Please sir, I want some more...

When I hear the phrase "starving artist," I know exactly which word of the two I would like to make obsolete and it is not the writer, the painter, the actor, the costumer, the set designer, or any of the other workers and artists who labor to give us the material with which we can experience the range of human experience.
I want more of the original that comes from the human being with a beating heart and not an electrical plug; from eyes or ears that have seen, heard, and lived not from a metal and plastic box filled with phrases jumbled together all higglety-pigglety.
Technology has brought the world wonderful advancements but never lose sight of the human beings who arise each day to live, love, and labor together on this planet we call home.
She shines in everything she does. What an artist.
