Muku: Do you ever feel bugs on you when there are no bugs?
Chikage: Those were the ghosts of the bugs that you killed.
Muku:
Later
Kumon: Muku? Why are you shivering?

hey your filipino right? why are other filipinos posting about the kkk? you guys are racist af....
To my Filipino mutuals, feel free to reblog this so people wouldn’t keep on sending you asks about this topic.
Hello, anon. I do not want to start any fights, so I will just explain. I spent fifteen minutes typing out all of this for you, okay?
The Philippines has a national holiday every November 30, which is the Bonifacio Day. Andrés Bonifacio y de Castro is a Philippine hero born on November 30, 1863 in Tondo (Manila) and was also known as “The Father of the Philippine Revolution” or “Supremo”. Just a background, the Philippines was under Spanish rule for 333 years (1565-1898). Bonifacio was the leader and founder of the Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan, usually shortened as the KKK or the Katipunan. Before establishing the Katipunan, he was part of the organization La Liga Filipina, founded by José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda (who Bonifacio looked up to), which fought for freedom from the Spaniards through peaceful reform movements. Bonifacio left the La Liga Filipina because he believed that a meaningful change could only be achieved through a bloody revolution, thus, starting his own organization which we all know as the KKK or the Katipunan.
Now, let’s talk about this revolutionary society. It was founded on July 7, 1892 by Andrés Bonifacio, Teodoro Plata, and Ladislao Diwa when they found out that Rizal was sentenced in Dapitan because of his “rebellious” books Noli Me Tangere, El Filibusterismo, and many more which were confiscated by the Spaniards as they said that those reading materials criticized Spain. The Katipunan had three aims: political, moral, and civic. Its political aim was to separate the Philippines from Spain, its moral aim was to teach good morals to the Filipino people, and its civic aim was to defend the poor, oppressed, and self. Members were accepted through blood compact or “sanduguan” and through answering questions such as “In the early times, what was the condition of the Philippines? What is the country’s condition today? What will be the Philippines’ condition in the future?”. Depending on your status in the organization, there were different passwords for you to be known as a member such as “Anak ng Bayan” for Katipon, “Gom-Bur-Za” for Kawal, and “Rizal” for the highest rank Bayani. To get promoted, you must recruit other Filipinos.
In early August of the year 1896, Teodoro Patiño (Katipunan member) told his sister Honoria about the organization’s existence and its plans. Honoria got surprised and upset because of the information she heard, so she told her orphanage’s Mother Superior about it, thus, exposing the Katipunan.
On August 23, 1896, the Katipunan launched a revolution against Spain through arms even though Rizal advised them not to. They ripped their cedulas (certificate of citizenship under the Spaniards) as a sign of their opposition against Spanish rule, and this event became known as “The Cry of Pugadlawin”. Then, the revolution of the Filipinos against the Spaniards started.
In simple terms, the Katipunan was a secret organization that made plans to revolt against the Spaniards during the Spanish colonization in the Philippines.
I suggest you read this article or watch “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo” to learn more about this topic if you are interested.
So, anon, what could you say now? Filipinos are not racists. Calling my fellow Filipinos as “racists” is honestly very offensive, even if we are not. The Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan are not the racist group KKK that other countries know. Well, it’s understandable that you’re not from the Philippines, but please do your research first before sending these kinds of asks, I could not tolerate people like you.
Paano uusad ang ating lipunan kung may mga taong katulad mo?
