To be honest, I think the exact same thing but I feel like it was done on purpose. Now here’s my theory (it’s not at all confirmed nor do I have any concrete proof but whatever):

I think their planning another season where they flesh all the loose ends out and possibly lean a little more onto the Fionna and Cake side of things instead of Simon and Betty (no hate to them I love them so much).

My only reasoning for this is on Max and the soundtrack cover on Spotify, it’s specified as Season 1 which would be really weird to put if they weren’t planning on having more than one season??? So yeah that’s all I got lol

(But once again, it’s not confirmed which means even if season 2 is the plan, it could just not be renewed by Max for whatever reason and we could be left with a bittersweet sort-of cliffhanger)

Major Spoiler Ahead

Okay, it makes ZERO sense for LD and Jay to have wanted to stay. LD I can understand, but not Jay. I get that Farmworld Finn might have actually bit the big one or whatever, but Jay still has a family (I hope).

And what about Babyworld Finn? Who's going to raise him? Can he even grow up or is he just like that forever?

I am really happy that Simon and Betty (Golbetty) got their closure, though. It was a conversation that needed to happen, even if it was all just inside his head. Something tells me Golbetty experienced it, too, though.

Overall the series was entertaining and worth watching at least once, but the wrap up felt somewhat.... disappointing. I get that it's kind of my own fault for putting my own expectations on someone else's project and maybe no answer would have really been satisfying, but I'm also left with the feeling that some creators are just.... kind of bad at endings, which is really disappointing since Adventure Time had one of the best.

(Day 9/? of catch up posting) I can’t tell you how much I enjoy super heroes and how the South Park heroes make me so happy (the mobile game is very fun)
