So I went to see Captain Marvel on Saturday. I thought it was a very good movie.

And since the government reads my mind, every add I've seen on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat, occassionally, have been about that movie. I know you're trying to manipulate me.

I follow some fan accounts for the Marvel Cinematic Universe on insta. This one person posted the movie poster for Captain Marvel and posed the question "Is this movie worth going to see in theatres?" I was going to comment my opinion because I liked the movie.

Now, do not get me wrong, I respect all peoples opinions, unless it invalidates, harms, or discriminates against another human in a way that would cause a big fucking controversy™, but if the only reason you say the Captain Marvel movie sucked ass is because of how "emotionless Brie Larson's acting" was. I'm about to drop some knowledge.

Brie Larson's acting was the best she could have done for that character.

Vers was taken to the Kree and they suppressed her memories. The quickly learned that her "powers" were affected by her emotions.

The motherfucking Kree taught her to be emotionless and stiff sO HER POWERS WOULD BE SUPPRESSED.

Like come on people. Look at the backstory before you criticize the actor. This "bland, emotionless acting" is perfect for Vers. But when she becomes Carol Danvers she slowly beefs up the emotion. She has to learn who tf she is.

It was the first MOVIE FOR CAPTAIN MARVEL. Meaning everything is not, I repeat not, going to as perfect as we would want it.

When Captain America came out in 2011, y'all had a bunch of shit to say then to. You hated Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. But guess tf what, you can't get enough of him now.

When Guardians of the Galaxy came out, you fuckers hated Chris Pratt. Shut yo bitch ass up. NOW YALL LOVE HIM TOO.

GIVE BRIE LARSON TIME TO ESTABLISH THE CHARACTER AS HER OWN.

THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR THE 45 YEAR OLD MALE COMIC BOOK LOVER WHO LIVES OFF OF COMIC BOOK ACCURACY AND WRITES AWFUL NASTY REVIEWS OF THE MOVIE BUT ALSO REFUSES TO GO SEE IT BECAUSE BRIE LARSON SAID THAT THIS MOVIE OS FOR THE LITTLE GIRLS WHO NEED A SUPERHERO TO LOOK UP TO.

This movie is for the little girl who finally gets to see women taking and absolutley crushing lead roles in a movie.

Yes, I know, we had ghost busters, wonderwoman, and oceans 8 with female leads, but who is to say we can't have more?

This movie has flaws, but tell me one movie that doesn't.

But if you have legitimate reasons that Captain Marvel is a bad movie, or is not as good as it should have been, please let me know.
