Once Again, Im Working On Yet Another Character Design! :)

Once again, I’m working on yet another character design! :)

I was pretty heavily inspired by Cicero from Skyrim, and @slocotion‘s dolls, with a little bit of Lovecraft sprinkled in there for some extra eyeballs. 

Before this attempt at sketching him, I did a few in my sketchbook, trying to figure out the basic theme of the character, and fit in some anatomy practice. His anatomy in this is a bit messy, but I like the eye details on his hat and collar, and plan to carry that theme into the jewelry I will eventually add. The tail probably won’t make it to the final design, but I wanted to consider making him a demon or at least something other than human.

I’ve started working on the first set of character adopts, starting with a teifling fighter! :)

He isn’t being designed with a subclass in mind, as someone who hasn’t played the all different versions of fighters, none of them seem like they have a large influence over the character’s final design. Once he’s finished, he’ll be sold along with another character that will have a similar source of inspiration.

Here’s the first completed piece for a long list of Welcome to Night Vale characters I’ve been wanting to draw! I’ll probably shift to some Desert Bluffs characters next, as I start work on a bigger project that I’ve started researching for!

Dungeons & Dinosaurs

Jurassic Park Inspired One-shot Ideas

A while ago I found some DnD 5e stat blocks for dinosaurs, and decided to make a one-shot featuring some of them. Most of these are at least partially inspired by the Jurassic Park movies, focusing on combat against the dinosaurs, and potentially escaping them.

Jurassic Park:

Essentially the plot of the first movie

A park run by a necromancer who raised the dinosaurs

The park is sabotaged

Find to survive and find a way off the island

Really, any of the movie plots could work

Hunger Games:

The Hunger Games, but with dinosaurs instead of wolves

Players are set to fight each other to the death

Can chose to do that, or decide to work together

See which player (potentially players) last the longest

Little Shop of Horrors

Murder mystery

Again, essentially the plot of the musical, but the players take the place of law enforcement, not Seymour.

Players are investigating a series of murders/disappearances

If the players are not familiar with the musical, have the death of the  blacksmith/dentist spark the investigation

Instead of growing a giant, singing plant, the BBEG is raising carnivorous dinosaurs.

Gladiator Ring

Players are forced to fight in a gladiator ring against dinosaurs and other fighters

Players can try to escape, and take down the ring

They could also attempt to become the champion of the ring

Probably the best plot for a small party (3-4 at most)

The place is ran by necromancers/druids

Hi! :) Here’s some character design practice, mostly to figure out what design traits I tend to over use, such as the shoulder pads, armor shapes, and the puffy sleeves.
