Oh look, it's a bee! (:

Somehow it took me so long to finish this that I lost any desire to add a Reanimator quote.

So I finally watched Reanimator, and it turns out that it and its sequels have burrowed into my brain like a parasitic worm.

Unfortunately, this is happening at a time in which drawing faces is more difficult than my Calculus homework, and despite several attempts over the past week at drawing Herbert, Dan, and the Bride, nothing is coming out well.

If something doesn’t change soon, I’m just going to draw some bugs and slap some movie quotes on them.

And so, it finally begins. After daydreaming about making and having a custom tarot deck for myself, I have finally started actually working on it. (:

Design notes for the deck are under the cut! (:

The illustrations for the deck are inspired by vintage scientific illustrations, and each card will feature a different member of the Arthropoda phylum, excluding most aquatic creatures.

I've set up four variations of the same template I''ll be using. Each one has a slightly different parchment color, to keep the cards from looking too sterile. Each one has text boxes with the set font, and symbols for each of the four suits, to insure those elements remain unaltered between cards.

For a sketchy look, I'm using a brush that doesn't allow me to make steady lines.

I'm working on making some new sticker designs, here's the first of the batch!

This one's already up on my Redbubble, and if anyone wants to request a specific bug or subject, I have a commission tier on Kofi dedicated to that.

I have finally drawn a spider! (:

For someone who has themed their biased a large portion of their online presence around spiders/bugs, I sure don't draw spiders a lot.

Spiders are my favorite animals, and this one is a depiction of the Goldenrod Crab Spider, my favorite species.

I can't stand drawing the segmented legs on members of the phylum Arthropoda (includes but not limited to spiders, insects, centipedes, shrimp, etc), so I don't tend to draw spiders. This time I just improvised the legs and hoped they turned out okay.

I had a poll up on my Instagram to determine the color palette, choosing between a sun themed design, and this moon design.
