Dudes I hate it when people write Bucky fanfics on here and have the reader call him James when they barely know him or like they dont talk much. Like I always get so mad and I'm like bro you don't have that level of importance yet. I feel like calling Bucky, James, is a privilege that only a select few people can do, such as Steve, Bucky's mama, Steve's mama, and eventually his s/o when he tells them it's okay. Because everybody calls him Bucky, it's almost like his first name at this point. It's a special thing to him, I like it when they write it as the reader and him are dating and he's finally like, 'please call me James' and then eventually it'll turn into jamie. I hate it when the reader calls him James though because it's like bitch you ain't that special yet. And it's all the time now on Tumblr that it happens.
