The Sapphire Stone Sits Highest on the Throne

The GIW have done the unthinkable. They've captured Phantom, King of the Infinite Realms and ruler of all who reside within it. The government organization tortured and experimented on Danny so much and for so long that Danny was forced to recede into his core. While a ghost's core is relatively strong by itself --only another ghost of similar strength could shatter it-- it's also extremely vulnerable to misuse if left in the wrong hands.

The GIW use the King's core to ravage Amity Park --uncaring if human citizens got in their way-- as well as the Ghost Zone itself. The Ancients combine their efforts to search for the lost, little king, desperately trying to find Danny's core and take it back from the blood and ectoplasm stained hands of the agents. As a result of their dogged search, the Ancients bring worldwide destruction down upon the Earth in their hunt for every single white suit agent remaining, scurrying from one hiding place to another like rats in the walls of a dilapidated house.

One by one, almost every agent was hunted down and bound in unbreakable chains of ice, awaiting their trials for the atrocities they committed against the Infinite Realms and its King. The only one left is the leader of the organization itself, the one who holds Danny's core. The leader, however, is extremely slippery and has managed to evade capture for months now, going so far as to throw their own men to the wolves if it meant an easy escape with the jewel-blue heart of a scared, grieving, and injured child.

At this point though, the Ancients have caused so much destruction and natural disasters, that the Justice League has no choice but to step in. At first, the JL actively try to fight the Ancients, not fully understanding the situation but having little luck in actually hitting any of them regardless. It isn't until John Constantine runs onto the battlefield like a bat out of hell and skids to a stop right smack dab in the middle of the fight that things change. He's out of breath, his hair is in disarray, he smells heavily of smoke and alcohol, and that's definitely a still fresh coffee stain on his weather beaten trenchcoat along with red blood painting his knuckles.

Normally, one small human wouldn't be able to stop the wrath of the Ancients when they've set their sights on something. This instance, however, was very different. As Constantine raised his hands up towards the rampaging Ancients about to unleash their fury on the JL, one thing managed to capture every single one of their attention.

That being the weakly glowing, sapphire-like core held in one of Constantine's outstretched hands(1 & 2) and the faint, echoing cries of a child begging the Ancients to put an end to the carnage they've unleashed upon the world.

Notes:

(1) Constantine gives little explanation on how he got his hands on Danny's core. Little do the JL know, it was just pure, dumb luck. He ran into the leader of the GIW right as the bastard was leaving a coffee shop. Coffee got spilled all over Constantine and, being slightly drunk off his ass, he decides to deck the person in the pretentious white suit and knocks him out in one shot. Constantine's about to walk away when he hears a child crying. He finds Danny's core in one of the downed guy's pockets and has a panic attack when he immediately realizes what it is. Danny explains what's going on and Constantine books it towards where he can sense a large amount of necrotic energy gathering. The rest is history.

(2) ALSO, sapphire is a pretty significant gem. According to the internet, the sapphire symbolizes wisdom, royalty, prophecy and divine favour. It's a symbol of power and strength, but also of kindness and wise judgement. Which just fits Danny PERFECTLY in this prompt, imo.

Dan was quite happy with the result of the deal with one John Constantine, now all he had to do was place this contract within the archives report to Danny aka Ma and be done with all things regarding John Constantine.

Dan easily teleported back to Phantoms Keep which has changed since Ma took over. He's extremely happy with the changes, "Ah, High Prince Dan you have returned."

"Yes, I have Fright. Is Ma still in the office?"

"Yes, my Prince. High King Phantom is still in the office, from your expression I feel like the deal went well?"

"It did, now Ma owns Constantine in his entirety."

"Splendid, High King Phantom will be delighted, I will inform the kitchens a feast may be requested."

"Well, then Fright I need to get going I need to place the latest contract in the archives and put under permanent lock and key."

"Understood, my Prince."

Dan floated in, entering the palace that is Phantoms Keep. The outside of the place had changed, it looks more futuristic with hints of a space theme going around. While the inside had changed into more of a mix of an ancient Greek look with a modern Greek look. With tall, extremely tall ceilings looking above with white and black as the main theme.

He soon arrived in front of Ma's office and he knocked before entering, "Hey Ma, I got the contract it went well so now we got 100% of his soul."

"Dan! It's great to see you back so soon, and what great news you have. I will want a feast to be added later tonight seeing as we can finally close the book for his bullshit."

"That we can, that we can. Fright already told the kitchens about that, so I'll tell them the confirmation and I'll ask Auntie Jazz to place the contract in the archives."

"Good, I'll see you at dinner. Bye, Dan!"

"Bye Ma."

Dan left the office and floated straight to the library where he greeted Auntie Jazz, "Hey, Auntie."

"Ah, Dan! The contract collecting went well then?"

"Yes, it did I'm here to give this to you and go take a nap, I've been dealing with Constantine's bull for quite a while. Send me the paperwork for our full claim on his soul tomorrow."

"Alright, go and take a nap and make sure to tell one of the servants on the confirmation for the feast tonight."

"Kay."

"Hey, you!"

"Yes, my Prince."

"Tell the kitchens confirmation on tonight's feast."

"Of course, my Prince."

I don't know much about DC, but seeing all these things about Danny owning Constantine somehow... what if instead of an ancestor, the different demons Constantine sold his soul to are all technically vassals of the Ghost King (hell dimensions being part of the Infinite Realms) and they decided to offload their useless rights to Constantine's soul as part of their taxes?

"Shi-" Alastor started and cut off, staring at his now broken radio staff, automatically before Adam sent another attack infused with holy magic at him hitting him straight on the chest. The attack sent him flying hitting the wall behind him as a result. Alastor knew that with this wound on him he wouldn't be able to get back into the fight unless he wishes to die.

Adam flew closer to Alastor laughing about to end him as Alastor himself prepares to give a little speech before retreating himself. But, before either of them could do that, a blur of white and red punched Adam straight in the face. It was Lucifer, he was in full demon form wings, horns, tail, the works.

And Alastor could only stare in shock before Lucifer screamed at Adam full of rage, "Get away from him! Only I get to fuck this deer, bitch!" Silence, absolute silence. Alastor himself is also confused and shocked.

Meanwhile with the Vee's

"WHAT?! What do you mean only you get to fuck the radio demon Lucifer?!" Screams of rage came from Vox as he went through it and proceeded to have a mental breakdown.

Back to the warzone

Charlie finally realised what her dad was trying to say and murmured under her breath, "Fuck WITH dad, you forgot the with." Long suffering groans from Charlie.

Listen. Narratively, for the show, Lucifer stepping in to save Charlie and fighting for his daughter, *chefs kiss* it's perfect.

But my shippy little heart, I can't help it,

Imagine if he'd arrives, not quite in time to stop Alastor getting his ass beat, but just before Alastor has to retreat, so instead of Alastor phasing to the shadows, Lucifer just sucker punches Adam before he can land that killing blow, and Alastor's just sitting there like, like a, pfft, like a deer in the headlights as the lightbringer comes to his rescue!!!!

And of course Lucifer says like, "Hey! nobody fucks that deer but me!"

Charlie facepalming: it's fucks WITH, dad....

And idk you'd have to rewrite so much but, God I would read so much fic of that,,,,,

How would the ancients or other ghosts react if Danny, while reining as the Ghost King, reverted to the 'little baby man' tiny blob-y ish being? I'm picturing Fright Knight trying to coax him off the top of a bookshelf or chandelier

Okay but hear me out.

Y'all know that old phannon trope that Danny has to become a full ghost to become Ghost King?

What if Little Baby Man is what Danny turns into if he does die, because his ghost form is so young (another popular phan theory.)

And naturally Danny doesn't want to Die and has a break down when he gets told this.

But then Clockwork steps in and tells the observants "You really do not want to go through with this decision. The results will be disastrous "

And he throws the observants into the near future timeline (like he did with Dan for Danny) to teach them a lesson and convince them to just let the poor boy live his life so he isn't an annoying grimlin when he dies.

Bonus points if Little baby man gets to torture Dan for a bit. And he's stronger then Dan for comical effect.

Also I can just see the observants after they return to the main timeline looking traumatized.

Observant : "wonderful, his two bad timelines either end with him being a homicidal maniac or a deceptively cute maniac, and I can't decide which is worse."

Tucker: "umm...the one where he killed people?"
