And yeah! You got exactly what I was thinking, and I came to the same conclusion by listening to Pale White Horse for an hour straight tbh lol, it's a good song and I'm glad to have shared it!

I listen to a few Lord Huron songs, but I haven't listened to this one tbh. I'm listening to it now.

When the Night is Over reminds me of Scar and Lust too, the tune specifically??

The instruments play in a way that is somber and slow but holds a strong, steady beat throughout it - the (I think it's whistling) also fits it really well; And the music just, idk how to explain it but it makes me think of the more somber aspects of Scar and Lust's dynamic. Despite the tune being steady it can convey a sense of unsure-ness to me, like with the occasional sound of the music adding in instruments and then taking them away again as though deciding "nevermind", only to add it at the more ending part of the song - which FURTHERMORE makes me think of how they both were at the end when it came to their shared paths and how they portrayed it if that makes sense, as after all the instruments are added back in, as it reaches its loudest point in a sense, it then dies down and quiets. It's not abrupt or anything. It's calm, like acceptance to me.

I would be able to truly say this if I listened to it like, over the course of three hours on loop. I'm on listen 6 as we speak, because i keep re-reading this post for anything i should add, so I'm definitely liking this song and I see your vision as well. Very fitting, I love it. I'm gonna obsess over this song for a week now. :) Also I dunno enough about music to say if my words are actually right when it comes to the instruments, this is just the vibes I get from the song on my own.

I'll let you know if I find any other songs, I often am looking for songs to equate to fma 03 characters and whatnot.

I Gave "Pile White Horse" a listen, and wow! Yeah, I absolutely see what you're picking up here. These lyrics especially fit Scar and Lust beautifully:

Heed the sirens, take shelter, my lover Flee the fire that devours But the sight held me fixed Like a bayonet against my throat Neither plague or famine tempered my courage Nor did raids make me cower

And the final set of lyrics scream "Amestrian genocide of Ishbal" + Scar and Lust being unable to shake the sense of recognition of someone they once knew, their shared past:

The lilting voice of the singer and the deeper thrum of the backing choir lends this track such a tender, sombre presence to the heartbreaking lyrics. Perfect for Scar and Lust!

A song I also feel works for them, imho, is "When the Night is Over" by Lord Huron. Particularly:

Now the trail has gone cold I don't know where else to go And my time, I fear, is nearly over [...] When the night is done, you'll vanish in the sun Will I hold you when the night is over?

And the outro, as the music swells and the vocalist laments:

This song hurts my feelings without fail, every single time.

I'm almost done this one shot fic I've been working on for Wrath - it's his POV of the last two eps of 03.

Idk why I felt like making it but I did so I am.

Actually, no I know why I felt like making it. I know EXACTLY why. Bc Wrath barely got any scenes, except for having his ed-limbs removed, and his reaction to Ed's death was devastating to me and I really wish we saw more of his reaction like we did with Rosé and Al.

I can't wait to write that scene. Another scene I can't wait to write? When Ed asks Rosé to take Wrath up to the surface for automail and shit. And then Wrath being carried out (or dragged? Because Rosé still has her baby to carry, so what I think happened once Rosé figures out a way to get Erath out, when they're at the stairs, Rosé could've gotten help, assuming the Trignhams stayed up there to wait for Ed. Which they probably did because they felt like they owed him or smth and were ready to go sown there to pull him out.)

A lot of it though is gonna be fan-speculation, considering we don't see Wrath often throughout the eps but I still want to have his reactions to things; Like leading up to him grabbing Envy's leg during the fight between Ed and Envy, or when uhh. Ed dies. :) Oh yeah, also the part where Wrath gets taken out of there.

I need to rewatch eps 50-51 all over again for the 12th time to make sure the fic is right. I actually wrote down all the dialogue from the ep that Wrath would hear in order to keep most things what really happened.

If the other characters do not have a question mark and only Wrath does, there is a pretty good chance that it is because he was the “secret.” Lots of random blind (can’t see what you’re going to get until you buy it and open it) goods and toys in Japan show all the characters you could get when you buy one on the back of the package, except for the “secret,” which they just show as a question mark.

Hiiii! That's what I was thinking originally but then I saw the Envy one and then saw the packaging - leading me to have a contradiction to that.

This is the packaging to (at least) the 2004 Envy Bandai keychain, and usually on blind-bags and whatnot it says secret where the secret character is - because it's a secret, you wouldn't know what you're getting.

But, if you look at the packaging, Wrath is right there at the bottom! I think Ed's actually the special character to get when it comes to this set, but I'm unsure of this information. And furthermore, you can see that each character's tag has something that correlates to that character, but Wrath's is a question mark.

Oh yeah speaking of Wrath, I recently discovered something (two things specifically) when I was scowering through Google to look for Wrath merch (because I am sane. I promise.)

So:

They done fucked up my boy. This, for those that don't know, is what the Wiki says is Wrath 03's 3D model for the PS2 game, "Fullmetal Alchemist: Dream Carnival" - which is, I guess if you had to compare, like a Smash Bros type game made back in August of 2004.

This isn't actually the render he uses in game, as we can see here:

The render is correct in game, with his arms fully two toned, he doesn't have the cuff on his Ed arm, and he clearly has his undershirt; Unlike in the render depicted on the Wiki. (Sorry for the low quality screenshots from google and youtube, I will be able to get more better quality once I get the game for myself hopefully.) He looks so silly I can't.

I dunno where they got this render, but here's more talk of the game;

Something else I noticed when looking at gameplay of this game, and I will continue to do because I don't know what the games actually about I just know 03 Wrath is in it, is that the lil chibi Wrath shown as a button to press is actually Wrath before he remembers and remembers just what he is.

I've also never seen that chibi Wrath before - not in any of the offical art, most of it uses the Wrath pictured below when he is shown from what I have seen, not in merch; Nothing.

The only other Wrath chibi I have seen is the one in the Chibi Party OVA where he seems to be arguing with Izumi. (I'm a lil upset that he got no lines in said OVA even though he was an important character in CoS, we see ELICIA more - but at least I get to see him, I suppose.)
