Ella Lopez is an ADHD Icon

So I’ve started Lucifer over quarantine, I’ve gotten into season 2 and I love Ella Lopez. I do some of the exact same things and I think that it’s likely she’s combination or inattentive ADHD

- She listens to music while she works (Possibly to keep herself stimulated)

- She’s always going off on random tangents onto things that are kind of tangentially related to what she’s talking about

- She talks a lot and kind of rambles when she talks, like she’s talking out loud and she’s following her train of thought as she’s talking 

- She’ll blurt out things at random (Mostly at the wrong moment)

- Originally worked as a car thief, which makes sense since she could always move and tinker with things, but also solve problems

- Just her entire vibe man. She’s goofy and kinda disorganized and so smart. She’s an icon and I love her.

Aww, this is so cute! I'll admit, I haven't been reading as many Peaky Blinders fanfics since I entered the Sandman fandom and have been knees-deep in the pool of Morpheus x reader fics, but it was nice to sort of stop by and see Tommy having a little bit of peace and quiet before he is shipped off to war.

Rumours

Welcome! I have been reading PB fics for months, and I started to write about six months ago, but it was only for me. I would write when I had a quiet moment after the kids went to bed, or if I'd woken up with a crazy idea that I couldn't make go away. Today, I decided I would share one of the little wanderings of my mind - a short pre-war Tommy story. Please let me know if you like it, or don't, but I hope that you will be kind. I see so many great comments on fics, but I also see some not-so-great comments. I think we all remember that old saying "If you don't have something nice to say..." Thanks so much! If you like this, I have a couple more that I could post. Then I'll have to see if I'm ready for sharing any of the other bigger stories I've written (or am writing).

Rumours

That evening, you sat on a bale of hay reading a book while Tommy fed the horses. Few words were said, but it wasn’t an uncomfortable silence, rather, it was your favourite way to spend an evening. After a while, you put down your book and sat up. “Tommy, I heard a rumour today.” You said to the man a few feet away from you.

Tommy didn’t look up, “I thought you knew better than to pay any attention to rumours?” he replied.

“You’re right, I usually don’t, but this one came from a reputable source, so I think it might hold some weight.” You replied.

“Mmm…” Tommy hummed. “What is it then?”

“Well,” you said in a sing-song voice, “rumour has it, that the reason the blokes ‘round here won’t so much as look at me is because they all think I’m Tommy Shelby’s girl.”

Tom looked up, “Fuckin’ Ada!” he scoffed.

“Not Ada, Tom.”

“Fuckin’ John!” he tisked.

“Not John either.”

Tom looked at you trying to read your smile, “Who then?”

“My dad.” You replied grinning.

Tommy looked back at the ground and busied himself.

“Is it true Tommy?” you asked. “Why would they think that?”

Tommy didn’t say anything. He started shoveling hay to avoid the question.

You stood up and crossed the stable. You put your hands on his and eased the shovel against the wall. You tried to get him to look at you, but his eyes were fixed on the ground. “Tommy, why do they think I’m Tommy Shelby’s girl?”

He looked up from the ground, still unable to make eye contact with you. You were understanding the depth of his insecurities and his feelings for you.

You put your hands on his face and pulled his gaze to meet yours. Those icy blue eyes looked so innocent (though you knew better). You gave him a gentle smile as you asked him once more, “Tom?”

“I fucking heard the factory boys talkin’ about you one day. They were sayin’ how pretty you were, they were talkin’ about what they wanted to do with you, how they thought they could get their hands on you. I got jealous an’ told them to keep their hands and their eyes off of you. Alright!?” Tommy was turning red, like he’d been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

You smiled, it felt so nice to hear him admit that he had feelings for you, but you wanted a bit more. “So you ruined my chances at finding a husband in Birmingham because you were jealous?”

Tommy pulled away from you. “I…”

“Thomas Shelby, if you wanted me to be your girl, why didn’t you just ask?” you cut him off.

Smiling up at him, you lifted his chin to see the beautiful blue eyes you’d loved forever. You stepped up on your toes and met his lips in a soft kiss. Tommy wrapped his arms around your waist.

“I would have said yes.” You said smiling as he kissed you harder.

You pulled away to look at his face, taking in the features of the man you’d been wishing would notice you your whole life. Today was the start of something new.

“Fuck.” Tommy whispered.

You looked at him for an explanation.

“I wish I’d done that sooner.”

You smiled at him, “Done what, Tommy? I kissed you.” Teasingly, trying to pull the question from his lips.

Tommy’s face changed, “Will you be my girl?” he asked, his eyes looking astonishingly scared.

You paused for a second, bit your lower lip, and grinned, “Of course I will, Tommy. I thought you’d never ask!”

Tommy picked you up as you kissed him, he walked you to a bale of hay and set you down. The horses we fed, watered and the stalls were clean enough for the night. Tonight, he was going to make up for all the times he told himself he wasn’t good enough to deserve you. Tonight, he was going to kiss you until he had to take you home, and after that, he was going to dream about the next time he could hold you.
