thinking about how Jack never has to question where his home is. he grew up in the bunker, not on the road
I put this all in the tags, but then decided against it, so - I don't know if this is entirely factual as I haven't finished the show yet, but there was a slideshow on tt that had a pic of the 4 boys with a quote saying "where is it? where is home at?" and Jack has a home. Jack was raised in the bunker. he wasn't raised in shitty motels. he didn't have to live on the road. Sam and Dean did, which is why they're each other's home and why Baby is also home. Cas is an angel and has been everywhere. so I'm sure he's never really had a home before. sure, Heaven could count, but not a real home. not somewhere he was loved so deeply. he has that now. but Jack? has never had to question it. (not counting the apocalypse world because I feel like he knew it wasn't his real home. he was just there, and he obviously made friends, but I feel like part of knew it wouldn't be permanent)
I think that when we tell teenagers that their lives will be over if they don't have the most perfect possible trajectory through the education system, that this is, perhaps, if I may be bold, not good for them,
also this was just the third episode of s15. and I am a mess. you mean to tell me it gets worse??? oh I fear I will not make it
fantastic mr fox says something about fatherhood that’s batshit insane and I don’t think the movie actually knows it’s saying it. it just takes you by the shoulders and makes you look square in its eyes and goes “some men should never have been fathers. they are. and they love their children deeply. and they try so very hard. but that doesn’t mean they should have been fathers.” and then just gets up and leaves you with that like you’re meant to be okay afterward
