"Abortion is killing babies" no. It's not. It's not so simple. The argument doesn't end there. People's lives are at stake. Some of those pregnant people were r*ped. Some of them struggle to afford daily food. Some of them have mental health issues. Some of them are alone. Some of them are kids. Some of them cannot give birth safely. Some of them are in life risking situations where they can get abused if someone else finds out they are pregnant. Some of them just don't want kids and know that they cannot be good parents to them because they are not ready.
It's not about "you didn't have protected sex, so you must now suffer the consequences". Because one action should not determine the rest of their life. They deserve to be happy. They deserve to have a life.
They do not deserve to get punished for one small mistake. The kids they forcefully gave birth to do not deserve to suffer the consequences.
They all deserve to live a life they can be content with, and you, a stranger who will never know them, should not control them or their lives.

More Posts from Thebrighteye
Sorry for a serious post but as this blog was originally made as a reminder not to trust every “fact” you read on tumblr:
Do not trust medical advice from random tumblr blogs, especially on how to perform surgery on yourself. This can kill you.
There appear to be troll/anti-abortion blogs posting self abortion advice that will get people killed. Posts sending people to religious fanatics instead of legitimate info resources. Posts advocating avoiding real medical assistance in favor of self harm and more.
We have all seen the reality-shredding lies that got this country where it is today, and you can expect them to continue, taking advantage of panic and fear as always to harm us.
Do research. Find resources you trust. Talk to people you trust. But for the love of god:
DO NOT TRUST RANDOM TUMBLR POSTS WITH YOUR LIFE AND HEALTH.
Having rights to our own bodies is crucial, but when there’s a baby, its not just your body involved, it’s a body holding another body, is it really okay in most instances to use your complete freedom and right to take the life of another, even if it’s an unborn baby?
For those who rather not read this
That unborn child is living inside of another human being, who is currently living, breathing, and has years already to them. Going off on the logic you presented, both are "equal" in terms of choice. But here's the flaw. No one is asked for permission to be born. And we can't assume that everyone wants to be alive. I sure as hell don't. So who should make that decision? The expecting parent. They have to carry that child for 9 months (sometimes with lots of complications). They decide what to do with their body.
I love how it's the same arguments. No one truly wants to get an abortion. There aren't people lining up to get them. It's an invasive procedure. The person has to deal with messed up hormones after the fact. They may have their own emotions to deal with what they deem to be a lost life or lost potential of life. They may face stigma from others etc etc. Abortion isn't a fun weekend activity. It is a very real and difficult choice that people make.
It truly isn't as black and white as you make it. Having children, in this economy, is hard. What are we gonna tell people who got impregnated through r*pe? What about those living under the poverty line who truly cannot afford to feed another mouth? What of those who will be persecuted by their family or perhaps their own country because of premarital affairs? What are we to tell teens who still want to go to school and not worry about being a parent at such a young age? All of the reasonings don't matter. It isn't your decision to make. If you don't like abortions, don't get one. Plain and simple.
That child could be born into a very unfortunate circumstance because they were forced to be born. Foster care is already clogged. Can't forget parents resorting to giving their children away for s*x tr*fficing because times are tough. You don't really care about the unborn child. If you did, you'd consider all the differing factors that come to play in their potential life. Cause newsflash, life is only easy if you're a cis, white, and hetero male. Children deserve the absolute best quality of life that we can possibly provide. And if that person carrying the fetus says I am not ready to provide that, then guess what? Good on them for recognizing that and terminating something they are not prepared for.
Banning abortion is such a power trip. It's just there to take power away from persons with vaginas. I honestly am so heartbroken for many lives we will lose. Especially marginalized individuals who are already not taken seriously in healthcare. What about those lives huh? They mean fuck all to you? Or are we just caring about the unborn?
So to answer your question. Yes. Yes it is okay. It's none of your damn business regardless.

PSA! You're not "screwing over the man" by shitting on independent authors. You're just taking their livelihood. And we're not talking about KU books.

"1/2 Every time you return an ebook at Amazon, the author is charged back more than what they were paid for the sale. Yes, that means we could owe Amazon at the end of the month. Since TikToks went viral saying 'it's okay to return ebooks'
2/2 most authors returns have skyrocketed. Reading and returning a book is stealing. If you want free books, try the library app, Libby (among others) #AmazonisNotALibrary"

I’m the problem T.T

Is this a problem?
If you think overturning Roe vs Wade was a win today, from the bottom of my heart, go fuck yourself.
