We have very little that is truly ours in this world. This is why we must take great care of the things which do belong to us. The wife truly belongs to the husband, and the husband to the wife. For this reason, we ought to pray that the LORD blesses us with fruitful marriages and grants us the grace to properly care for our spouses.

As the head of the family, a man needs to be able to provide comfort and solace to his wife.  He must not merely be a provider of money or physical labor, but of safety and assurance.  There is indeed a lack of Biblical womanhood in our day - there are many reasons, but one of those is a lack of Biblical men to lead and cherish Biblical women.

Whether you are a man or a woman, please examine your life to see what opportunities for Biblical growth you have.  And I encourage all of you to pray to St. Joseph - the Light of Patriarchs, the Head of the Holy Family, the Model of Workmen, the Glory of Domestic Life - for an increase in Biblical Manhood.  God bless you all!

A culture of life requires a culture of marriage. Marriage is a sacred bond, a union of man and woman before God, so powerful that it can neither be destroyed nor dissolved. It is cooperation with His Plan of Creation, for their union is inherently ordered toward procreation, toward generating and welcoming of new life into His Kingdom. It is not merely an arrangement, but a vocation, calling husband and wife to a life of mutual sacrifice for the benefit of their spouse and for the whole family.
