i just had a stunning revelation about a dean/cas parallel going on rn.

so, dean sacrificed himself for sam, the person he swore to protect like a son, to bring him back from the dead. dean dies and goes to hell. cas fights his way into hell and rescues dean, bringing him back to life.

cas sacrificed himself for jack, the person he swore to protect like a son, to bring him back from the dead. cas will die and go to, as the empty said, a place “worse than hell.”

if the writers have any sense of poetry, i can only imagine what happens next.

This gives me butterflies in my stomach 😄

I can't help but wonder if Cas uses every moment of physical contact he has with Dean to cure whatever horrifying level of cholesterol he has and repair whatever damage he's recently done to his liver.

Absolutely. On the drive over to confront bad!Kaia, Dean was chowing down on beef jerky, and Cas was like, uuuuughhhhh. And that hand brush we see in the promo pic is him adjusting Dean’s sodium level and throwing in a fix on his breath while he’s at it :P
