i guess one of my biggest beefs with supernatural, not just with the canon but with everything that has been said about it by the people who sit down and make it, is that the boys have been everything under the sun: they have been good and bad, souless, they have tortured, killed, maimed, done the absolute worst shit for dubious reasons, killed loved ones, betrayed each other and themselves and a long list of etceteras, but the moment they are perceived as anything other than absolutely straight, there is where the show draws the line.

cause god forbid that they are anything other than manly macho straight men; god forbid they might open the door for one of them to be seen as anything other than a stereotypically straight man. this is the message that the show portrays: that being queer is actually the worst they can be. not evil, not mean, not murderers. queer.

they keep going on about how much they try to support the LGBT community, when everytime the question comes up, it’s faced with mockery, queerbaiting and promises that “if it serves the plot”. i wish they wold take their so called support and shove it up their collective ass.

i wish they would come out and say “we’re never going there because we don’t want our characters to be anything other than straight”.

i guess at least we could hand it to them for their honesty, then.

You know sometimes I think maybe romantic isn’t the right term for Dean and Cas. They are a cosmic item, always drawn together. They find each other in all dimensions: heaven, hell, purgatory, earth (the empty arguably). They’re something more. Then I remember Dean made Cas a Zeppelin mixtape and I’m like oh yeah these idiots are teenagers in love.
