TheHappySpaceman Reviews - Metropolis vs. Osamu Tezuka’s Metropolis
We are finally at the first of my reviews! I wasn’t originally intending for my reviews to become a recurring thing. I had created this one for a film class where we had watched the movie Metropolis, one of my favorites. When I discovered there was an anime sorta-remake, I watched it. In this video I compare the two. Some people have said I’m too harsh on the anime, but seeing how I’m not usually a fan of anime to begin with... eh. Also, forgive the stuttering, I was still new to this whole reviewing thing, and I wasn’t even intending to upload this on YouTube.

TheHappySpaceman Reviews - Monster Mash
Of my older reviews, this is probably my favorite. It’s nice to be able to vent my anger at a bad, bad movie. And yes, this movie is bad--it’s basically the Halloween equivalent of Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, another holiday special released in 2000, the same year as Monster Mash.
I only discovered later that Monster Mash apparently has quite a fanbase, which is surprising seeing how forgettable it was. But yeah, I posted on deviantART a while back that somebody had seen my video and made a response/attack video that was supposed to “give me a taste in my own medicine,” which it failed at doing, and then somebody else made a response to that one, and then dirtbikeredden made a response to both of them. And each of those videos got like twice as many views as my original. Strange. Oh well, enjoy me riffing on a bad Halloween special!

Was It Really That Bad? Hot Space by Queen
This was a new segment in my reviews, “Was It Really That Bad?” I never did wind up making a second installment in this series, which is another thing I will have to add to my to-do list.

Year in Review: 2014 Deleted Scenes
I’ve been intending to post this video for a while, but never got the time. There were a lot more scenes from this review that were cut than these two, but I didn’t edit them, so there was no point in editing them for this.
Anyway, enjoy the lost scenes of my Year in Review for the worst year of my life! This includes the cut scenes where I talk about “All About That Bass” and Pink Floyd’s album The Endless River. The first of these scenes was cut because I was afraid people would get offended about my dislike of that song, thinking I was fat-shaming or whatever. The other was cut because of copyright reasons. In hindsight, I think I was being too nice in both of these criticisms.
Dark Matter - If Poison Became Wine (Live at C’ville Coffee)
A live performance of a song that was on my debut album, Dark Matter, at C’ville Coffee in my hometown of Charlottesville, VA, on December 21, 2013. I have good memories of playing music with these guys. Alas, all good things must come to an end, I suppose.

Dark Matter - Too Late for Change
This music video includes my first attempt at doing a green screen. We didn’t have an actual green screen, so we just used a tarp. In hindsight, we should have waited until we got a real green screen. LOL
