TheHappySpaceman Reviews - Rock of Ages
Another one I’m not incredibly proud of. I was still trying to keep my videos at a 22-minute-or-less limit at this time, and missed out on several plot points in Rock of Ages, which is a long frikkin’ thing--it’s over two hours long. Since this one, I’ve stopped caring about the length of my reviews, and just try to talk about the movie as much as possible depending on its length.

TheHappySpaceman Reviews - Metropolis vs. Osamu Tezuka’s Metropolis
We are finally at the first of my reviews! I wasn’t originally intending for my reviews to become a recurring thing. I had created this one for a film class where we had watched the movie Metropolis, one of my favorites. When I discovered there was an anime sorta-remake, I watched it. In this video I compare the two. Some people have said I’m too harsh on the anime, but seeing how I’m not usually a fan of anime to begin with... eh. Also, forgive the stuttering, I was still new to this whole reviewing thing, and I wasn’t even intending to upload this on YouTube.

Dark Matter - I’m Myself
This video used footage from the short film of the same name as well as some footage from my live performance at the Cubby Bear North in Chicago. The song features guitar from Doug Campbell and trombone from Larry Swift. Eventually I wound up using this song in my album Dark Matter.

Was It Really That Bad? Hot Space by Queen
This was a new segment in my reviews, “Was It Really That Bad?” I never did wind up making a second installment in this series, which is another thing I will have to add to my to-do list.
