Shout Out To Suzanne Collins For Normalising, And Honestly Even Romanticising, Body Hair On Girls/women.
shout out to suzanne collins for normalising, and honestly even romanticising, body hair on girls/women. shout out for writing a lead female character who honestly likes her body hair and is sad when she has it forcibly removed.

shout out for describing it in a pleasant way ("soft, curly down") rather than something unsightly and vaguely embarrassing.
honestly just shout out to suzanne collins

The Hunger Games fandom(myself included) often sees Finnick Odair as someone who has a good heart, even with all he suffered, aside from PTSD and stuff. However,he obviously has a dark, ruthless side. Finnick was the guy who won his Hunger Games when he was fourteen, before being forced into prostitution. His demand for secrets from his “clients” was a good example. I always had this headcanon that Finnick used the secrets as a revenge and leverage, much before “The Mockingjay”. For me,this makes Finnick a really well-round character, and another thing that makes him a survivor.
i really like katniss as a protagonist, because she doesn't want to be a protagonist. there isn't anything particularly special about her, sure she's talented and resourceful, but she also has many flaws. it's not even something that she chose, she never planned on starting a rebellion. all the choices that she's made have been for the benefit of her loved ones, not strategic, political moves. it even turns around the trope of the hero insisting on doing something dangerous, while their friends hold them back; katniss, the girl on fire, is the one who wants to run away, who thinks rebelling is too dangerous, while gale is the one who sees the importance in rebelling.
suzanne collins killing prim after everything katniss did to save her.......... THATS how you write a story about the brutality and futility of war ma'am thats what we call a compelling and fucked up narrative yessums thats storytelling babes!!!!
