Evenfall Chapter One

Alright, according to my notes, it’s just about time for the story to begin. Now, before we get started, we should review some very important things.

What we discuss while this story unveils you might want to keep secret. You could tell people, but then I’d tell you to expect more than a few weird looks and questions about your mental stability. If that’s what you were aiming for, go ahead!

I personally find that keeping the ongoings of Everless a much more favorable (and easier!) solution.

Secondly, I hope you don’t find yourself at a loss with all the information the story requires, I understand that there’s quite a bit you don’t know, but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn! Learning is very important and you can count on me to be a wonderful teacher!

So, without further ado, let’s begin!

Introducing Juli Cárdenas Rivera Silva Vicente!

Class: Fall 2022

Ring: Fye

It is time! Since trios are the new thing, whatever that means, we have three main characters. Our lovely last person is Juli Cárdenas Rivera Silva Vincente, a long but wonderful name. She usually goes by Jules, though. Jules Cárdenas Rivera, to be exact. Long names are quite a hassle, as I can assure you.

However, I digress, it’s time to talk! Or, rather, read about the young Juli. Today’s story shall focus on Juli’s packing for Evenfall. The young woman didn’t really have any plans for college, after spending most of her high school career floating along, the only real passion she had was for her music. Which isn’t a bad thing, of course, of course! But, Juli aspired for something more, something bigger.

Fortunately, she was going to Evenfall, a place full of life.

"Whoa! That's a lot of Library"

"Whoa! That's A Lot Of Library"

Binging my way through Saga, Paper Girls and Runaways thanks to my interlibrary loans. Finally getting through the series that would have bankrupt me if I had actually gone out to buy all these!!

🤣🤣 Apparently I have a type too, cause only now did I realize all 3 of these are from writer Brian K. Vaughan.

Paper Girls: 80s era girls are time traveling through an increasingly confusing singular time line. I'm still wondering if they're the ones who messed things up to begin with. But the adults do plenty to make things worse.

Runaways: Kids realize their parents are actually, literally evil super villians and try to escape their hold and make the world better for it, but can you really escape your DNA inheritance? I love the breadth of the super villian family: magicians, time travelers, criminal masterminds, aliens, mutants. Got it all!

Saga: Soldiers from opposite sides fall in love and have a baby while still on the run and now they have to run faster cause their union and child go against the war narrative, and can topple the entire decade long civil war. Meanwhile the parents just want to live a quiet life. It's beautiful and heart-full but real and doesn't pull punches. It's what I want art to be: characters who've gone through some shit, still are, but none of them have lost their heart. Something turns that heart back on and makes them someone I want to watch and listen to, evil or good. Rated R, I'm sure tho.

Meanwhile, I usually say it's the art style that grabs me in and keeps me. Each one has a different style, but all bold, colorful, distinctive. A ton of creative aliens in the Saga scifi, which reminds you each time, there is an infinite amount of diversity in space. The glowing alien in Runaways, and the distinctly synth ridden 80s color palette that falls perfectly into the past and future. Lighting is such a draw on all of them, directional and evening haze. Y'all just have to look for yourselves honestly.
