She shakes off any potential flooding of the memories. She’s safe, he’s gone and Jason killed him. It’s not gonna happen again. After shaking his hand she thinks her words carefully, making sure it’s only in good light. That and so the plan goes well. 

“Yeah, we met a couple months ago at Camp Crystal. We’ve been on the road for a while before we met JD, which was last night. Then he kicked Michael’s ass as JD said.”

“Not really, all he did though was just mourning his mom when I met him. I was just helping to do make-up on-site for this really cheesy ass slasher film.”

“Emphasis on cheesy because they decided to do the filming on sight knowing he was there. Though the whole losing a loved one happened at a different camp with a completely human killer,” She calmly explained, alluding to Camp Sleepaway.

“Though luckily nobody died there. Maybe cause I helped bury his mom? I don’t know.” This part she shrugged at, still unsure how that was even a miracle.

“I’m not excusing his behavior, really I’m not. but I am keeping in mind that he was in a cycle of violence that began the moment he first died. When he was simply a kid with hydrocephalus and the whole drowning combined with bullying and negligence,” She added. Of course, she was terrified when they first met. Of course, there’s the chance she might get killed. But does knowing what happened to him help understand him a little? Maybe.

“But yeah, I’ll make sure he stays on the narrow. I just don’t really like talking about how I met him. Not out of trauma, but out of annoyance ‘cause way too many people asked. And anytime I do tell it, I always need coffee.”
