“I’d be grateful if you did. It’s bound to happen whether it’ll be years or tomorrow from now. So what better way to learn now rather than later?”
“I appreciate his words, but I think you and I both know it will take more than words to keep me out of the harm that you and your stormtroopers will have to face. Or in fact everybody in this ship.”
It would be nice to learn a new way to fight. All she’d been used to using were her teeth and talons, the same ones covered, so as to prevent the scratching the smooth reflective floors that cover this ship.
“It’s a chance that should be taken, don’t you think? Was part of it out of expectation from those around you? It may have been the case for people like the First Officer, but what if it was only useful for some but not all? The Empire and the First Order did use fear to control. So couldn’t it be said they are not far off of each other?”
“I didn’t join with the Revenant, I joined To, there’s a difference. I’m still helping, and you count in that endeavor.”

“Honestly, that’s a first for me. I’ve never of it. Is it any good?”

“I love Life Day. Problem is, Life Day doesn’t love me. Ever heard of ‘A Life Day Carol’? Well, people always send me vids of it on the holonet. Every year. Don’t know why. Guess they think I’m some kind of scrooge.”

“Sweet, let me know when you have it in your hands.”
“Would it be cool if I brought a couple snacks.”

“That’s a shame cause if you were, I would’ve called it a good attempt at hitting on me.”
“...”
“Just saying. But as of right now, there’s nothing that really needs to be burned. If there is you’ll be the first to know.”

“Need something torched? I’m the guy for the job. I’ve got a flamethrower, and a suit to keep me nice and room temperature while I make things toasty.”
“No, that’s not a euphemism. I’m not… hitting on you.”

“Well...Shit...”
As calmly as she says this, she’s equally scared now. She had known that the Dark side could take him to an edge and push him to a point of no return. There’s the chance th
“I'd understand if he was angry and wanted to ensure the Marcanos didn’t kill anymore, but the Hutts? They deal with everyone, and if there’s a chance they dealt with his killers...”
She stops a second shaking her head “I gotta go find him. Make sure he’s away from the edge. I don’t know how much the Hutts know to provide...but I bet they’ll do anything to keep him leashed.”
She started to gather her things and mentally makes a plan to go to Tatooine trying to figure out the fastest route there. Shima may not have known how to those responsible, but there had to be options. She knows Lincoln needs this, but she wants to make sure he has this the right way.
“You’re more than welcome to come, but if you don’t...I’ll let you know how it goes.”

“Listen, I’m fine. Really, I am. For all we know, Wade’s gonna come in anytime and give me the thumbs that everything’s fine.”
She tries to wave it off by assuring this. Despite the fact, she’s in a hospital and there’s an IV connecting in her right arm instead of her lacking left. She was feeling awful with it starting recently.
“So you can stop--ACHOO! Worrying about me...”
“Shit.”

“See nothing to--Wait, what?” She looked back at Wade in confusion. “That’s really weird...”
She wasn’t going to judge whatever’s on the paper. Whatever he used to find the results were obviously smarter. It could explain why her heart would suddenly start rapidly beating out of the blue. It could explain why her eyesight’s starting to blur recently, and the headaches that have plagued her these years.
“I don’t understand...dopamine?” She looked down to see her right hand trembling, and held it steady with her left mechanical hand. She was fine. She had to be, right? That’s all she’s ever known is ‘fine’.
“I-I feel fine. That can’t possible. Is there anything that you can do?”

“Dividing and conquering? It’s worth a shot, so here’s hoping.”
She looked back at the one called Cody. Here was a man, no more than a remnant of a war that seemed like yesterday. A war that felt like it ended today, only to pave way for another that would bring an end to everything. In a way of uncertainty. Anytime the future seemed uncertain, somehow friends could be found to help through with the troubled times. For now, she sees Cody as a potential friend.
And she hopes with them, she can make sure Lincoln stays her friend. And she’s gonna need a lot of hope, because of the feeling that it may not be enough to help him. Walking to a shelf, she rummages through until she finds a blaster.
“In case, your lightsaber and Jedi tricks don’t work in certain situations.”
She says this as she tosses the blaster to Kenobi. A gift to a friend before they partake in journey of the unknown. She looks to Cody.
“You gonna be ok with all this?”

“Well…Shit…”

“You’re more than welcome to come, but if you don’t…I’ll let you know how it goes.”

“Oof...I... haven’t had any of that since...” She hesitated uncomfortably as a possible realization dawns on her. It made sense, why there were always those things in the house provided by the father she had known.
Could that be why? Because there was none to sustain, none for her to make on her own, except it was possible to be sustained by others. Something that hadn’t happened in so long.
“I haven’t had any of that since...Jean died...When I became the Magpie.”
Her discomfort of the memory was notable, her fingers nervously fidgeting. It wasn’t the best thing to happen, a reason why she constantly fought, never taking a break to think or to grieve.

She gave him a thumbs-up of assurance as she disappeared from view, getting ready to enact the second part of the plan: Keeping everyone out long enough for his words to be said.
She takes out some wire as she walked down the hall, pulling out enough to create a simply wired trap. Pulling out a cannister of glitter, she sets it the trap completed. She thought about what it would be like if she took the initiative the way JD’s doing now. Would things be different?
She may never know because it happened so long ago, nothing could be changed, no how much she thinks about it. She can only hope that JD succeeded in this plan. So that he could have that potential happy ending
While she sets her glitter traps in specific parts of the hallway, Lucie stays close behind her, keeping her supplies at hand, but to act as an alarm in case someone comes and they need to hide and watch their trap rain glitter that would be difficult to wash out for weeks.
She backed up confused at Wade was trying to do. She thought he was angry, ready to shield herself if she had to. But the biggest surprise came to her when she felt his arms wrap around her in a warm embrace. A warmth she hasn’t felt in a long, long time.
Everything stops for her when she hears these words, causing her to freeze up. For years she had built herself as this person, this warrior with no fear, so much so that she dares to take on the COG. Probably the only person who actively did so. As the Magpie, she had no fear. But she didn’t have anybody with her, to help her and be there for her like Wade was. And another surprise, happened when Fahz joined in on the embrace.
All of this emotion was swelling up in her throat. Everything she had buried down was starting to fall apart at the seams. She couldn’t take it anymore and broke down in tears. She wrapped her arms around them both as tears fell from her face, crying her heart out. She was small, unlike the herculean gears she was so used to seeing, but there was no denying how big her heart was, and it showed in her tears.

This wasn't supposed to happen in her head. She was about to speak up and suggest to maroon the captain on a desolate planet (When after all this blew over, she’d go back for him, sending him into the unknown with a new identity and the hope he’d escape).
But that could never happen as she saw a man die in front of her eyes. They widen with terror and shock. Her words are lost and for a moment she can hear nothing but the ringing. The ringing of the dead. The dread realization of what she has done then has led up to this. Something was wrong and she couldn’t breathe.
But there was no way to she would take part in this, Coruscant did not deserve this. There was a feeling starting to emerge, that she needed to stop this. The card of Wido needed to come to her. She was so concentrated on this feeling that she did not notice the card flying to her until it came near to her face, only catching it at the last second.
She looked over to Cole and Jzora, before looking back at To. This was someone she almost considered a friend, almost, had he not killed Widom and attempt to kill the people on Coruscant. She grabbed one of the blasters from the trooper before shooting the super laser with as many as she could before running off with the card.
As each sob grew louder, a wave of emotions came spilling out every time. For so long she had been alone, carrying burdens while trying to do the right thing. Her eyes, red and puffy as she held them shut unable to handle her emotions with open eyes. The memories flooded, her sole reason for trying to make changes. Memories she never wanted anyone to make like she did.
She never wanted to hurt anyone. She didn’t want anyone to get hurt by her. But by shutting herself away from the world that took Jean, she didn’t give it a chance to help her get back up. She crawled back up by herself without even thinking of asking. Here she has these people, these friends. She can still try and get things to change but she’s not alone. She doesn’t have to be.
Shima kept crying, and it felt like her voice could go out. But if she didn’t let it out it would always be there. Maybe that would be the case. She still held onto them both, because they were her anchor, and they weren’t the only ones. She wasn’t alone and she’s forever human because of it.
As her voice grew slightly raspy, she felt much relief after crying. It was a burden that had been lifted from her heart after so much agony for so long. She allowed them to slip away, knowing they wouldn’t leave. She sniffled, wiping some tears from her reddened face.
She listened and sat in awe of Fahz’s words. Out of all the people who would say this with tenderness, she didn’t expect Fahz to show vulnerability and honesty the way he is now. She saw him as this unmovable titan incapable of showing emotion or sympathy. That’s how she used to see the majority of the gears, including Fahz. That was before she met JD and seeing him spill his emotional vulnerability.
She realizes that Fahz is a human just as a much as she is, not a Gear. A stubborn pain-in-the-ass at times yes but still a human with emotion. She’s touched at his attempt to try and sympathize with her. She never imagined he felt that way. She didn’t think and part of her feels guilty for it. So much so she slowly reached out and placed her hand on Fahz’s remaining shoulder.
“That’s ok. Loneliness is still a bitch. I guess regardless of everything happening, humans aren’t meant to be alone. Sometimes we fall apart, but we always somehow find each other, like how we found each, even if we didn’t get along at first.”

She pauses, uncertain of this information that his honesty spills. She heard things and thought it was just a strained relationship between father and son, but they're an awful truth that showed the deeper, darker side. It must be why the law enforcement was could be more appealing than whatever dark legacy his father would’ve left him.
“I think there is a way, it’s just gonna be hard,” She reasoned hopefully. This was a reason why they both joined, something she thought to her self, as she understood the Promethean task at hand. “But isn’t that what cops--especially partnered ones? All we have to do is find the ones who’d work rather than let someone else corrupt do it for them?”

“Ok, that’s one thing, being an asshole of a dad, but the ocean? That’s crossing a line,” she sighed rubbing the back of her head.
She followed him in those steps, maybe it wasn’t a good idea to be talking about such things in place like this. She was sure that she didn’t have anything nice, especially to the rich or even to a simple party. But this was important to Orm, she can see it.
“For now it’s best to keep it between the two of us. But eventually, we’re gonna have to find people we can count on. But sure, I’d think its a good idea, but I don’t really have anything that screams gala.”

She stopped singing and all in general when she hears this news. It worked, the plan was a success, and now he has his happy ever after. Part of her is elated and the other is uncertain for the future, not just for Wade, but also for JD. Where do they go from here? But there is a celebration at the moment and she’ll hide it because that is how she manages in uncertain situations.
“He did?!” She gleefully shouted as she jogged back down, Lucie trotting down with her, avoiding the trip wires, running to him with a smile, hiding the uncertainty, because this wasn’t about her at the moment. It was about him, who gaver her back her humanity.
“That’s great!!” She exclaimed with a smile. “It went that well? How’d he take it?”

“Is that ok?” She asked unsure. But she makes up her mind.
She gently extends her hand, gently petting the rabbit’s head. The rabbit was not only cute, but really soft.
“What’s their name?”
