Out Of All The Places For All The Reasons, She Really Didnt Want To Be Here. She Didnt Want To Be Having

Out of all the places for all the reasons, she really didn’t want to be here. She didn’t want to be having this talk about this person. But here she was having this conversation at this meeting about this person taking on her friend’s name. A name that the whole world seems to care about having serve their own needs instead of the people.
She comes alone in her uniform, repaired after the fight with Thanos, and a little darker than normal after accepting the Magpie within her although she did have a black trenchcoat over it all. She didn’t bother having someone tell her directions, she already knew. She remembered she thought she was a mutant, but even after knowing what she really was, she wasn’t sure how she attained all this power.
Standing at the door, she takes a deep breath, in a tiny attempt to calm down and hide her anger, before opening the door and walking into the room. Looking over everyone, there are some familiar faces, most notably Fury. But she looks at the one unfamiliar to her, the one wearing the uniform. She can tell he’s nervous and sweating. Mentally, she turns on any air conditioners in the room and silently walks to her seat next to her familiar faces. But she said something to him that nobody could hear physically because she said it mentally to him in a calm voice that greeted him
“Hello. I’m Dana.”

“...”
“Do I even wanna know why you guys got started with an insult match, to begin with? Why’d you even try to insult him, to begin with? The guy’s older than me, meaning he has a lot of material than probably the both of us combined.”
“As much as I’d like to have a nice heater, I’d rather it didn’t feel like the tropics in the middle of summer, so lemme see what I can find.”

Steve at 2am when he finds out where Bucky is hiding:

“Don’t worry that kinda stuff’s under lock and key till the day I die.”
“That’s pretty cool though, being bi. And I hate to say it, but part of me’s proud of you being honest and telling me about it.”
Especially at your age, I had it figured out as kid but didn’t tell anyone as an adult till Xavier and I had a telepathy session.

“What’s wrong? Too hot for you?”

“Sir,” She responds returning the same courtesy. She can ‘hear’ Fury’s projections and responds by projecting the appreciation she’d have if they talked about this more after this meeting. For a time she had forgotten, that this man existed. The man who hunted Banner, a good man with a couple problems but good nonetheless. The man who created the Hulk problem when he tried making another ‘super-soldier’.
Chuckling, she found it a little amusing until she realizes that he’s serious. Turning over to the British officials she shoots a look and mentally communicating that she would deal with them once this was over.
“Their needs? Since when was the title Captain America used to serve the intelligence of other countries? Aren’t we eager to establish favors again,” She remarks, sitting back holding back everything from this news.
“That was quick. I know Steve’s old and there needs to be a symbol and shit, but I don’t like this sudden need for you to go everywhere catering to some old bossy guy’s needs.”
This she communicates solely to Fury and Walker mentally, creating a second conversation that isn’t known to Ross. What he doesn’t know won’t kill him.
“Secretary with all the respect that is left from me, I think this is being rushed, in the effort of having Major Walker being recognized as Captain, we risk giving Walker a load too heavy to carry even with us working together. And what if he isn’t listened to? Even with me, there’s a chance they’ll walk all over him, given that he’s a new face.”
“And to your British counterparts, I have expressed the intent on retiring. So even if we were to work together it would only be for a short period. However, I wouldn’t mind acting as advising support to Walker after my retirement.”
“It’s not that I’m opposed, I’m just disappointed nobody asked if I wanted to another team-up. Besides, now that you’re on board, they might just take advantage of the new face and make you do whatever whims they got on at the moment.”
“If we are going to bring Major Walker as Captain America, then the least that should be done is have him work within the States before sending him overseas. That way the people won’t see the government as eager to attain Captain America to their strings.”
“Erskine’s intentions in creating the serum and therefore Captain America was to help people like Erskine, not for the catering to...Government intelligence as a primary priority.”
Dark times of the Scaled Sides

It was daytime as a magpie flew in the dark woods. The leaves had fallen covering the normal dirt ground, indicating the seasons she had passed through since the last time she had seen a calendar. The magpie, having felt she had covered enough distance for the day, she changed her shape and called it a day.
Her real shape wasn’t a magpie. Rather a woman with dark black hair with black eyes that seemed to glimmer only upon closer inspection that traces of blue swirl in her eyes. She appeared pretty, but there was so much she was hiding underneath. So much so that she was running all this way out in what appeared to be nowhere. She didn’t care as long as she was away from it all.
Setting her backpack down she started pulling out her things seemingly from such a small backpack that she had enchanted with the undetectable extension charm at the beginning of her trip. Stopping when she hears something snap, she slowly turns her head. With one hand ready to pull her wand at the second she sees if its someone who had been following her. And if it is someone who had been following her, then she wouldn’t hesitate to defend herself if necessary.
“Come out.”
