The Kiddie AU with Soundwave and Springer and Hot Rod made me so sad!! Could we please have a fic where Hot Rod realizes no one has seen Soundwave in a while and he's so worried for his friend that he runs away and tries to find him again. Because for all Soundwave seemed to bully him, Hot Rod still wanted to be his friend and have his beloved bestie again so he runs off, trying to track him down and try to make amends and make it better again!

While the adults talked he became bored. Looking around he noticed Soundwave wasn't around.

"Where's Soundwave?"

The others paused what they were doing and also looked around. Soundwave's carrier began calling for him.

They began looking all over the place while calling for Soundwave. He thought the sparkling was playing a game like hide and seek while Springer thought he was hiding because he was in trouble.

As more time went on he noticed all the adults seemed really worried and then Springers carrier was calling for more officers.

They searched the entire school but couldn't find him anywhere. Soundwave's carrier was distraught and he had a bad feeling which made him start to cry.

His carrier took him home not wanting to stress him out.

"What about Soundwave?"

"I'm sure they'll find him soon."

His carrier soothed tucking him into bed. He had a hard time falling asleep that night worried about Soundwave and wondering where he went.

School was cancelled that week and when he went outside there were fliers all over the place, looking for Soundwave.

His carrier along with other adults joined in the search. He tried to help as well. Even though Soundwave was mean to him he was still his friend or at least had been. He didn't want him to be missing. He could be scared and all alone.

He ended up getting in a fight with Springer who thought Soundwave deserved it for being a bully and that they should be happy he was gone. He didn't feel happy and neither was Soundwave's carrier.

Springer didn't care though and didn't want to look for Soundwave. He stopped speaking with the other sparkling upset that he wouldn't help.

He wasn't happy he was gone. He was worried and blamed himself. If they hadn't been fighting Soundwave wouldn't have disappeared. It was his fault he was gone and he felt guilty.

His carrier told him it wasn't his fault but he didn't believe him. He knew it was his fault and that he needed to find him.

He didn't know how long Soundwave had been gone but it felt like a long time. Soundwave's carrier was sad all the time and cried a lot. The adults were also sad and worried. His carrier wouldn't let him play outside anymore and would make him stay close all the time.

He still wasn't talking to Springer much. The other sparkling was still convinced Soundwave deserved it. He was tired of arguing and fighting. He just wanted his friend back.

He felt a tear fall as he swung on the swing. After begging for days his carrier finally let him go to the park. The only problem was that everything reminded him of Soundwave and it wasn't as fun without him.

He looked over at his carrier who was talking to Soundwave's carrier. He could see him crying and his carrier looked really sad. He didn't understand until a few days later.

His carrier sat him down and explained that Soundwave was gone and that they were having a funeral for him, because he wasn't coming back. He didn't know what it meant and felt a little scared about the idea of Soundwave being gone forever.

When they went to the funeral it was sad. People were crying especially Soundwave's carrier. He was confused and scared. Sticking close to his carrier.

In the front of the room was a box. He stared at it for a long time and came closer. Listening to Soundwave's carrier he began to cry when he realized he was in the box.

His carrier tried to soothe him as he explained what was going on, but he didn't care. He didn't want Soundwave to be in the box, gone forever.

He never apologized for their fight. How could he be gone? He didn't understand. Soundwave didn't like the dark. He tried to act brave but he's always known his friend was afraid of the dark and now they wanted to leave him there forever. He didn't like it.

Crying he ran out of the building not wanting to be there anymore. He ignored his carrier calling after him as he ran for a long time.

He ended up at the park again where he collapsed into tears. He didn't want Soundwave to be gone and he cried for him to come back and that he was sorry.

Then the other sparkling appeared in the trees before running off. Not wanting him to go he ran after him.

He chased him through the forest shouting his name. Soundwave didn't stop until they came to a large tree. Soundwave sat down and patted the spot next to him. He sat down as well having so many questions.

"I'm sorry."

He gave the sparkling a surprised look.

"I'm the one who should be sorry. You're gone because of me."

"I wasn't trying to be mean to you. I was upset that Springer was always around and worried you'd forget about me and be his friend instead."

"I'd never forget about you. You're my best friend."

"I tried to apologize but I kept messing everything up. I never meant to hurt you."

"It's okay. I forgive you."

The two sparklings hugged and he gave him a confused look.

"Where did you go everyone's been looking for you?"

"I was upset that no one was listening to me and I decided to leave because I didn't think anyone would want me around."

"That's not true. Of course we want you around. Your carrier had been so worried."

Soundwave looked down in guilt.

"Oh..."

"I didn't mean to make them worry. After leaving I met someone who wanted to take me somewhere special where I could join their family."

"Did you meet them?"

Soundwave shook his head.

"No. I saw the missing posters and felt bad because I realized my carrier loved me and was worried about me. I quietly snuck away from the stranger when I had the chance and rushed back home."

Looking the other sparkling over he noticed Soundwave looked exhausted and hungry. Grabbing some energon out of his sub space he gave it to Soundwave.

"Thanks."

The sparkling eagerly drank it and he sighed.

"What's wrong?"

He shrugged.

"I'm tired. It's been hard sleeping knowing you were gone. I was so worried about you even though I thought you were being mean."

"Oh..."

Soundwave shifted wrapping an arm around him.

"I'm sorry for being mean to you. I wasn't trying to I promise."

"I know."

"I just didn't like Springer. I thought he was taking you away from me and I didn't want that. You are my best friend."

"No one could ever take you away from me. You're my best friend and I've missed you so much. Springer is a friend of mine but he's not my bestest most amazing friend in the whole world. Besides we're not talking right now."

He sighed remembering what the other sparkling said.

"Why not?"

"He was being mean and didn't want you to come home. Even though everyone else did."

He grabbed the other sparkling not wanting him to go.

"It's okay. I don't care what Springer has to say. I only care about you because you're my best friend and I love you."

"I love you too."

Soundwave yawned and he yawned as well. Running away from Soundwave's funeral and then running after Soundwave was tiring.

"Maybe we should go back and tell everyone that you're alive."

"Not yet."

Soundwave shook his head looking nervous.

"My carrier is going to be mad."

"They're worried and I'm sure they'll be glad you're home."

"I know but I need a little more time. Please."

"Okay. How about we take a nap first?"

"Good idea. That way I'm not so tired when I meet my carrier."

Soundwave pulled him closer and he cuddled against his chest the two sparklings quickly falling asleep.

Ever since the human had given him back his skin. He found himself unable to forget about him.

Growing up he heard all kinds of horror stories of what happens to selkies when humans take their skins.

When the same thing almost happened to him. He'd been terrified. Even now he had nightmares of being taken care from his home never to see the ocean again, as he was forced to be the humans mate.

Then another human saved him and gave him back his coat. Something most wouldn't have done. The human was special and even though he tried forgetting about him, he knew he couldn't. He wanted to mate with him.

Finally making a decision, he swam to the surface. Unable to ignore the pulling sensation anymore. His instincts screaming at him to mate with the human.

He didn't get out of the water. Only stuck his head up as he looked around trying to spot the human.

He circled the island looking around. A little reluctant to go back on land after what happened. When he finally found the human he sighed in relief. Watching him leave what must be his home.

He swam closer observing him as he worked on cleaning the beach. His heart pounding in his chest as he watched him work.

He dove back underwater and looked around for a beautiful rock. He then placed it on Soundwave's porch in the middle of the night. Telling him that he was interested in courting him.

After that he began leaving him little gifts. Always at night in fear that someone would see him and try to take him away.

One night he was delivering some metal he'd found at a shipwreck. When the door suddenly opened revealing Soundwave. He squeaked almost falling in surprise. When he felt strong arms wrap around his waist bringing him close.

The two stared at each other for a long moment and he thrust the gift into his hands, before running off. The human followed after him wanting to know why he was leaving him gifts. Feeling embarrassed, he looked down as he admitted his feelings for the human and wanting to court him.

The human was surprised and seemed unsure at first. Wanting to get to know him before courting. He assumed it was part of human courting ritual's and felt guilty for not thinking of them.

The human who he learned was named Soundwave. Asked him out on a date. Which was part of the humans courting ritual. He immediately agreed wanting to spend more time with him.

During their first date he had a lot of fun. Although he was nervous about being on land for so long and around so many humans. Worried about humans taking his coat. However he also knew Soundwave would defend him just like he defended him before which reassured him.

Soundwave took him to a restaurant where humans eat food. It was really good and he was surprised to learn they cook their fish.

He then took him to a magic place where they showed people trapped in magic screen. Soundwave called it a movie and reassured him they weren't actually trapped. It was so cool and he wanted to see more.

Their date was a lot of fun and he couldn't wait to go on more. Soundwave also seemed eager because he invited him on another date right after. Where the two of them were going to a festival hosted by the town.

He was so excited and couldn't wait to go. Even if he was a little nervous and being around so many humans.

He shifted around in his bed feeling uncomfortable. Like his frame was too tight and too hot for his body. Everyone's heat cycles were starting up and his was usually miserable.

He'd use suppressants but Ratchet was a tyrant and bans them because they're "not safe."

What does he know anyway. There may be some side effects but that just gives him a more spicy personality.

Despite his amazing arguments Ratchet has ignored him every single time and now he has to suffer.

Getting up he started working on his nest while mumbling to himself. It wasn't fair. Ratchet got to share his heat cycle with Drift while he was all alone.

He paused what he was doing feeling a small pang in his chest when he realized everyone had someone except for him.

He tried not to let it bother him. Ignoring the heat for now. He focused on making his nest. Only to get frustrated when he couldn't get it exactly how he wanted.

Giving up he pushed it to the floor and laid on his bed wishing it was over.

His body felt hot all over but he still wanted snuggles. He desperately wanted someone to touch him and hold him. Make him feel like he's safe.

Hearing a knock on the door he groaned forcing himself to get up. He walked to the door expecting Ultra Magnus to deliver him datapads.

Which he somehow expected him to do even during his heat cycle. Claiming that since he didn't have anyone to help him, the paperwork might distract him from his heat.

Instead he was surprised to find Soundwave. He joined their crew not too long ago. Wanting to get away from everything like the rest of them. Everyone thought he was there for Megatron. Wanting to convince him to come back to the Decepticons. But so far he hasn't said or done anything that might indicate he was there for Megatron. In fact he seemed to be avoiding his co captain.

"Do you need something?"

He clung to the doorway feeling his legs shake. Hoping whatever it was wouldn't take long. So he could go back to being miserable.

"Are you okay?"

He gave him surprised look because he wasn't expecting that and no one had asked him that before.

"Why are you asking?"

"You sounded like you were in pain."

Soundwave gestured towards his room, which was right next to his. A safety precaution in case Soundwave was up to something.

Feeling embarrassed. He thought about denying it, but from the look on Soundwave's face he knew it was no use. He probably looked terrible right now.

"My heats started and it's being terrible like usual."

Soundwave shifted looking almost nervous.

"I heard you don't have anyone to share a heat with."

He flinched. Even though he shouldn't be surprised his crew talked behind his back. It still hurt to know the crew was talking about him being alone during his heat cycle. It made him feel vulnerable in a way he didn't like.

"I don't have anyone to help me with my rut and I was wondering if we could help each other out. That way we aren't alone."

His first reaction was to say no because Soundwave was a Decepticon, but then he thought about it. He hasn't done anything to him and when he was a Decepticon he was following Megatron's orders. Someone he's come to see as a friend despite his past and basically killing him.

He didn't want to be alone and Soundwave didn't want to be either. It probably wasn't easy asking him to help. Especially since they didn't know each other very well.

"Okay."

He found himself agreeing. Moving out of the way to let Soundwave into his apartment. He could see the Decepticon looking around taking in his room. When his optics landed on his destroyed nest laying on the floor. He felt embarrassed as he rushed over picking it up. Not wanting Soundwave to leave him for not having a nest ready.

He began throwing it onto his bed without thought. Feeling embarrassed and trying to force himself to pretend like everything was fine.

Soundwave stopped him. By putting a hand over his. Which sent a tingle down his spine. He dismissed it, as his heat cycle wanting him to be touched.

"Let me help you."

Soundwave began moving things around looking at him for direction. He grabbed some of the material and started to help as well, making sure everything was perfect as his instincts took over.

It helped soothe him and he found himself relaxing. Feeling a lot less nervous about mating with Soundwave.

He thought the Decepticon would want to get right into it, but instead he took his time. The two cuddled together in his nest. Which felt amazing and he didn't realize how desperate he was for touch or any kind of contact.

They traded kisses as they snuggled. Getting to know each other and their scent. Which helped make things more comfortable.

If was really nice and he enjoyed snuggling with Soundwave. Slowly the two began to explore each other's bodies as they traded kisses.

Until they eventually started fragging. Soundwave made him come more times than he could count. The two of them clinging to them and having an amazing time. Soundwave was so good to him and he felt so loved and cared for.

It was the best heat he's ever had and he was already planning on spending his next one with Soundwave.

He gasped putting a hand on his belly in horror. He'd been feeling off the last couple of days. At first he thought he might be coming down with something.

As his symptoms continued, he started having a bad feeling. He tried to push it off for as long as possible. Until eventually he couldn't hold back any longer.

Even though he knew he was likely sparked. He was still hoping the tests was wrong.

He knew who the sires were. They were the only ones he'd been interfacing with for the past few months. The problem is, they were in a relationship with each other and he was only there when they wanted a threesome.

After they were done interfacing. He would always leave, while they cuddled together giving each other aftercare. He'd go back to his room all alone and cry himself to sleep. Wishing he was enough, but he knew Ratchet and Drift would never like him like that.

Feeling the small bump forming. He knew it wouldn't be long before he began showing. Maybe he could pretend it was someone else's.

Even though he didn't want to. He needed to see a medic. He decided to go when Ratchet was off shift and went to see First Aid.

After looking him over it was confirmed that he was sparked.

He stared at the screen for a long time. Tears in his optics. He still didn't know what he was going to do but he wanted to keep it. First Aid gave him a picture of his little one which he kept close to his chest.

Leaving the medbay, Drift called him wanting him to join them in fragging. His spark twisted in his chest and he refused lying that he was tired.

Going back to his room. He laid down and immediately fell asleep.

Over the next few weeks he was definitely showing. Having no choice he finally told everyone.

Megatron and Ultra Magnus were shocked but promised to be there for him with whatever he needed. Which made him cry a little.

Ratchet and Drift were also surprised and managed to corner him asking if it was there's.

He lied saying it was someone else's. Trying to ignore the way they both looked hurt. Which didn't make sense because they weren't exclusive.

The next few months seemed to fly by as he prepared for his sparkling. He tried to avoid Ratchet and Drift as much as possible.

He felt slightly guilty for lying. Even though he knew it was for the best. He didn't think he'd be able to handle their rejection.

For some reason they continued trying to talk with him. Drift wanting to help set up the nursery and Ratchet wanting to make sure the sparkling is healthy. Even though First Aid was his medic.

They were always trying to touch his belly and bring him food. Making sure he was taking care of him and acting like they were the sires.

When they'd been resupplying on this one planet. One of the locals congratulated them. Mistaking Drift and Ratchet as the sires because they'd been hovering around him the entire time.

Neither of them said anything and Ratchet even thanked them. Which made him feel something he didn't want to think about.

When he was nearing his due date. Ratchet and Drift cornered him wanting the truth. They both knew the sparkling was there's and wanted to know why he lied and didn't want them in the sparklings life.

He tried to dismiss it,.but they wouldn't leave him alone. Blocking him from leaving as they kept asking.

He gasped. Holding his stomach as he felt a weird cramping sensation throughout his body.

"Don't think you can fake some kind of emergency to get out of this."

Ratchet scolded as he shook his head looking down in shock.

"I'm in labor."

Immediately the two leapt into action. They carried him to the medbay where after a gruelling six hours he finally gave birth.

He leaned back feeling exhausted in a way he'd never felt before. Hearing his sparkling cry he reached for him.

Ratchet gently placed him in his arms and he smiled down at his sparkling.

"Hi little one. It's your carrier."

He opened his chest plates and felt his sparkling latch on. Stroking his little head he felt Ratchet and Drift sit on either side of him.

"Why did you lie?"

He felt a tear fall as he held his sparkling close.

"I thought you wouldn't want him."

"Of course we would."

Ratchet pulled him close.

"We love you."

He shook his head.

"You two don't want me. You only want me when you want to interface."

"That's not true."

Ratchet argued.

"Roddy. We've been trying to court you."

"What?"

He looked between the two of them in surprise.

"We love you and we love our little one. We want to take care of you both."

He felt tears fall as Ratchet and Drift held him.

"We love you."

Ratchet and Drift cuddled against him. Reassuring him that he was loved. They still had a lot to talk about but he enjoyed feeling their arms and warm fields wrapped around him. Making him feel safe as he fell asleep. Exhausted from having their sparkling.

Perceptor and Deadend Found out that Hotrod and Soundwave has been making out.

"What are you working on?"

Dead End leaned against the wall watching Perceptor work.

"I'm trying to find a way to crack the Quintessons code."

"Oh."

He looked around noticing a commotion nearby. They both watched as Hot Rod and Soundwave left the training room. Seeming a little closer than before.

He was going to ignore them because he didn't care. It was obvious what they'd been doing, but it also wasn't his problem.

He turned back to Perceptor who made a noise of surprise. Before pulling Hot Rod away from Soundwave which was unnecessary. He hasn't done anything dangerous, since he asked Clobber to kill Hot Rod.

He didn't think anyone could die from interfacing. Although who knows. Maybe Soundwave was so terrible at it. That for the first time ever. Someone could die from terrible interfacing. Internally he smirked at the very idea.

"Stay away from my bitty."

"Carrier."

Hot Rod complained as Perceptor looked him over.

"We were just training?"

"Training!?"

Perceptor gave them a look of disbelief.

"You have a hickey on your neck. I don't remember training ever involving making out."

Both Soundwave and Hot Rod froze. The latter looking embarrassed at being caught.

"I don't want you seeing him anymore."

"But carrier."

"No buts. He's still a Decepticon even if we're at peace right now and he's not good enough for you."

Hot Rod tried to argue but Perceptor was already dragging him away. Once they were gone he glanced at Soundwave.

"Hot Rod really?"

"I could say the same thing about you and Perceptor."

"Touche. Although we haven't done anything yet."

"Then you better get on that. I don't want him to interrupt us."

Soundwave walked away, leaving him all alone. He stood there in disbelief wondering if Soundwave hit his head or something. Perceptor was terrifying when he wanted to be and he'd already told Soundwave to stay away. Next time he'd probably try to shoot him or something.

He was awoken to a knock on the door. Opening his optics he jerked awake. Looking around in a panic because this wasn't his room or his bed.

Hearing something jangle he looked down at his outfit as the memories came flooding back. He'd run away and joined the rebellion which planned to take down his sire.

Hearing the knock again he got up and answered the door to see Soundwave standing there with a fresh set of clothes in his hands.

"These might be too big for you but I thought you'd want to get out of all that."

Soundwave gestured to the clothes he was wearing and he nodded.

"Thank you."

He quickly changed and found Soundwave waiting outside his door for him.

"This way."

They walked through the halls and he vaguely looked around.

Gasping in shock when he saw a familiar face. The two made optic contact and Bee ran towards him.

The two of them cried as they hugged each other.

"I thought you were dead."

He sobbed.

"Sire might wish that were true but I'm alive and thriving."

They both held each other for a long time. Until Bee pulled away introducing his Conjunx Starscream. He said hello glancing at his older brother who smiled looking so happy in a way he'd never seen him before.

"I'm glad you got out. I heard about your bonding and sent Soundwave to get you."

He looked at the other mech in surprise as he stood there watching the brothers unite.

"I have a meeting with Optimus and Megatron but maybe afterwards we can hang out and talk. It's been so long since I last saw you."

"Hot Rod there's something you should know."

"It's alright Bumblebee I can tell him."

A large hand touched his brothers shoulder and he looked over smiling at the mech. Clearly comfortable with his hand touching him.

"Hello Hot Rod. It's been so long since I last saw you."

"Who are you?"

He shifted slightly in discomfort and his brother pulled him into a hug.

"I'm your carrier."

He gasped and Bee nodded.

"I was just as surprised."

"I know you might have a lot of questions and I'll answer anything you want."

He nodded although at the moment he couldn't think of anything. Still shocked by the idea of Optimus being his carrier.

"I know this reunion is touching but we have a job for you if you're willing."

Megatron interrupted. Ignoring the look Optimus gave him.

"I am."

"We have a base in another city that needs supplies. We want you to go with Soundwave."

"I can do that. When are we leaving?"

"You will be leaving now. We are already behind schedule."

Optimus looked like he wanted to protest and so did his brother. Looking at the two of them he could see the similarities.

"I'll be fine. I joined because I want to help."

He hugged his brother one last time saying goodbye. Promising to speak with him later. He gave his carrier an unsure look who just nodded understanding he needed time to process everything.

He followed Soundwave to the transport. Sitting in the passenger seat as they begun the long journey. It was quiet at first. The two sitting in an awkward silence. Until he started talking wanting to fill the silence.

When he talked about music Soundwave began talking as well. The two learned they liked the same music and gave each other suggestions. Which they listened to on the way over.

Looking at the other mech. He found his spark fluttering slightly as he blushed. Feeling embarrassed by his sudden crush.
