I like this sketch. Busted it out in 15 minutes during a meeting. I hate that my mindless sketching yields better results than when I seriously sit down.

Sketch turned into this little thing. Sorry he looks small, still playing around with canvas sizes. Plus, this really was just a doodle that got out of hand.
This part hurts because you realize Drift is probably asking about the quantum jump because he hopes that in another universe, Ratchet is still alive and they can still be together.
inferno and smokescreen has gotten a CHOKEHOLD on me because of a random name spinner. i dont know where it came from but i saw that they interacted like ONCE and i think im in love with them.

my december 2023 rodimus design doodle drawing thing i dont know whet to call it since my lineart wasnt linearting when i drew it
had to post my panel redraw and rodimus art individually since it didnt go together. also drew them in the same day lol
i say i kinda like rodrift yet im slowly starting to not personally like it because i dont SEE it. drift didn't explicitly accept rodimus's apology in issue 51... i think that means hes still mad about the overlord situation, but can't seem to say no to his apology.
i also heard that rodimus and drift are an unbalanced power dynamic. i remember saying that rodimus and getaway are quite literally parallel characters, but rodimus is just seen as good because it's told by his perspective.
a tiktok i saw about them said things about how rodimus and drift's relationship are quite the same as getaway and tailgate's, minus the creepy stuff (i'd get into that with another rant, probably), but it's more about the dynamic, and to put it simply? rodimus's significant influence on drift made it an unbalanced power dynamic. he did this because of his low self-worth, which he is EXTREMELY conscious about, and maybe that's a stretch, but james roberts said it himself. that's why drift—to put it in brainrot terms—glazes him so much.

i stand by that mainly because i don't fangirl over rodimus because hes pretty, since when we are all blinded by the moon we forget about the stars, i analyze his character. and just so you know, i don't analyze characters that were/is my favorite, unfortunately 😓
and i'm gonna cut it short here; it's almost 1 am, i have school, and if i continued, i'd just be comparing rodimus and getaway together. i'm talking about how i personally don't see rodrift as a romantical and serious relationship, but only as a friendship.
in conclusion? friends with benefits, one-sided love (cough cough rodimus), hanahaki disease material. do what you want with that information.

And what if I say while Drift grieves Ratchet at his funeral holding his inner most energon vial, he cries cursing Rodimus in grief and desperate anger because Rodimus isn’t there to comfort him.
But Rodimus is there to comfort him.
…
Drift just can’t see him.
Because Rodimus is dead too.
Rodimus died a long time ago.
After the crew disbanded and after he became a drunk, Rodimus got bad, really bad.
and eventually, he died.
He felt himself online without clear memory thinking he was still alive only for Drift and Ratchet to go through him.
He’s been there with them from the moment he died to this very moment now as Drift curses him and cries.
He can do nothing but watch and crouch by his side staying with him.
He figured this was his punishment.
To suffer watching the ones he loved so close but so far.
He figures he deserves this too.
What he wouldn’t give to bring Ratchet back and have Drift be happy.
All he can do is unknowingly be beside him and stay bound to his spark until the day Drift dies.
He already felt half himself go when Ratchet died.
Its only time and patience until Drift will one day too offline.
