She/her. Recently got back into drawing, wanted a spot to post and encourage myself to keep at it. Mostly my doodles but also other creative interests, music, food etc. Enjoy 😊

Inktober Day 4 - Exotic
Had a few extra minutes so thought, why not try another prompt. Day four is “exotic”, I suppose a toucan is exotic enough? At least they are for me 😊
Quick sketch/doodle from a picture I found online using the default ink brushes on Procreate.

Asleep, in Colour
One of the things I remember from high school art class was the teacher’s comment on my sketchbook for “more colour”. I also remember thinking, when did they teach me how to colour? I’ve always felt a lack of confidence with colour. Maybe because of that I wanted to try colouring my previous sketch. The nice thing about digital art, you don’t have to risk ‘ruining’ the original or starting over, just duplicate it and go 😊
Decided to try out the gouache Bardot brushes for some extra practice.

Ferry Doodles - Hand Studies
Once we managed a seat I wasn’t really sure what to draw, so just ended up using my left hand as a model 🤚 😊
Some freehand doodling and sketching in pencil.

Inktober 2024 Day 5 - Binoculars
Had a few spare minutes after lunch so tried for the fifth prompt of binoculars.
Decided to be a bit more ambitious this time, a person using binoculars and in colour! Found an image on Google as a quick reference and used the default ink brushes. Not super happy with the face and shadows, but that’s as far as I’m feeling it for now, it’ll do 😊.

Window on a Brick Wall
Trying to do as many watercolour tutorials as I come across in the hope that the techniques start to stick 😊. This one is from Tatyworks.
I almost feel like it’s cheating a bit to use a brick brush rather than draw it all by hand, but then, why not take advantage of modern tools 😊.
